Never had one are they as good as people say?
It’s one of those meals that you crave like once a month pretty goodNever had one are they as good as people say?
The chili burgers are good to eat once in a while.Never had one are they as good as people say?
I go back forth often for work. I like the dry heat in az. Yeh even working near beach in summer with humidity sweating like crazy in the morning when it’s only 70. Gets worse in ie when it’s 105 and humid.lol remember saying this next June July Aug. Norco is hot but no way is it Phoenix hot. There’s a reason prices are dropping there and not Cali. I just had this conversation w a realtor yesterday. I’m looking for rental property in Avondale
they are even better at 3:00 AM on a Saturday night at the original location.Never had one are they as good as people say?
lol Hawaii is kind of wack to be honest. I would take tronconnes over Hawaii any day. There’s a ton more places to go and check out. My mom worked in Hawaii so we’ve been plenty. Waikiki is just like downtown La I wouldn’t be bragging about Honolulu
Socals climate has nothing to do with why we have a house in bhc lol. If I could bring lake mohave to Norco I would in a heart beat that’s funnyI was talking about weather, mate. what are you talking about?
SoCal is the land of wetsuits, outdoor propane heaters, and glass windbreaks for sea breeze facing balconies. Things you don't have or need in a tropical climate. SoCal rough cold and wet ocean is why so many of us have places in the desert for boating. You know... Like this very web site we're palavering on right now... River Dave's Place.

I feel we’re all overlooking the use of palavering in a post. 16 points and according to the search function the first time used on RDP.Socals climate has nothing to do with why we have a house in bhc lol. If I could bring lake mohave to Norco I would in a heart beat that’s funny

Right with you. Grew up and then raised my family on Torrance. 68 and foggy gets old. Sure there are some nice days, but you always took a jacket on a beach bike ride in the summer. There is a reason the local paper is called “The Daily Breeze”I was talking about weather, mate. what are you talking about?

I think yore confusing SoCal with Seattle.
68 and foggy is fine for vigorous dry land stuff like motocross or sports or road racing. but it sucks... badly... for boating in cold wet rough ocean. a little surprised that there are boaters that have trouble wrapping their heads around this.Right with you. I've taken all our boats to the desert and just kept a little skiff to fish the kelp paddies on calm days. wetsuits are for surfing, and even at that, they are tiresome after a long time.
cheers...

she manned up to air and water temps in the 60's. good on her. and good on you... you're raising a tough kid. I keep a pair of Uggs and nice cozy sweat pants sweat shirt to warm up after days like that. but it gets tiresome after a while. people need a break. no wonder the flights from SoCal to Hawaii are always jammed full. ask me how I know.

in warm places you don't have to man up. it's already warm. and you don't need sweats and Uggs to break the chill after playing in the cold ocean.

One of the coldest I ever got surfing was about 2-1/2 hours into perfect Honolua Bay Maui in April wearing a 2 mil longsleeve Xcel shirt with only about 15 guys connecting from coconuts through keiki bowl. I've surfed and swam many other places I'd consider more warm and tropical such as the Maldives, Mentawais, Troncones/ Guerrero , Costa Rica etc , but Hawaii water is definitely too cold for me to trunk it year round. Living in wetsuit country at the beach in Cen Cal we did have our foggiest summer I can ever remember, but now the killer Fall and Winter Cali weather with offshore barrels is officially here.she manned up to air and water temps in the 60's. good on her. and good on you... you're raising a tough kid. Troncones is pretty high on my list of where I’ll be spending my retired timeOne of the coldest I ever got surfing was about 2-1/2 hours into perfect Honolua Bay Maui in April wearing a 2 mil longsleeve Xcel shirt with only about 15 guys connecting from coconuts through keiki bowl. nah. Hawai'i is just an example because TONS of Californians flock there. but the world is full of other warm places. south Florida in warm season, Caribbean, Bahamas, Indonesia, tahiti/French Polynesia, the whole north coast of Australia, the desert lakes in warm season, places where you don't find patio heaters in Costco because people wouldn't buy them. I'll give you one though... the desert in the winter is also waaay too cold for fun boating. when we are at our desert house, I go out every now and then to gather free firewood off the various beaches. but no way in hell we go swimming or boarding. and I'll throw you another... even Hawai'i water is on the margin of too cold. plenty of people wear 2mm gear there at times. the tell is pacific cyclones. the big warm south pacific cyclones always seem to die down to a whimper as they approach the islands because the coolish... though way way warmer than socal... water sucks all the life out of them. You should really start a I love Hawaii thread and stick to posting there.
Me and a couple buddies bought a lot North of the ranch in the little gated deal and are going to build a palapa/ indoor outdoor crash pad . One guy is one of my Mexican buddies from Cen Cal so we’ve done some pretty extensive re con exploring around the area / touristy and 3rd world outlying areas with our wives . Surfing and relaxing is my attraction to it, and my wife is down to go for a week every couple years but she isn’t really comfortable there long term. I have another buddy adding onto his existing place in Troncones with a pool etc and he is all in , but again he’s still a good surfer at 59 so that’s the main attraction. What are the things that make you guys want to spend big chunks of retirement time there ?Troncones is pretty high on my list of where I’ll be spending my retired time
We thinks it’s beautiful and our money seems to go a pretty long ways down there. I like to surf but I’ll be honest the rocks had me pretty scared. I don’t think we could live there full time but maybe a month or so out of the year and then rent the place out. We made a lot of friends with Americans that own rentals there. Dinner on the beach and turtles at Roberto’s pretty awesome and I think was under 100 bucksMe and a couple buddies bought a lot North of the ranch in the little gated deal and are going to build a palapa/ indoor outdoor crash pad . You’re using air temperature as your guideline for water activity? The water at Ocean Beach is 63degF right now. No wonder all those boats are in their slips and not being used. Mine would be too. But I like to swim or board when I go boating. And well 63 degrees… yikes.Another rainy, gloomy, cold November day in MDR. Kidding, 75, sunny, slight breeze. Not sure why all these people have their boats here, you can’t boat in the ocean unless it’s tropical.

You’re in your boat, not the water…. There were plenty of boats out. You’re using air temperature as your guideline for water activity? The water at Ocean Beach is 63degF right now. Don’t forget you sweats and your uggs
I thought Mexico was where we would spend a lot of time but then our kids got married and started talking about having families.Troncones is pretty high on my list of where I’ll be spending my retired time
