Is a fitting worth it? I’m at a 10.1 hcp. Play 1-2x/month. I’ve never had fitted clubs.
Yes, I really think so. Especially even your close to single digit. But you need to do to a good fitter. Having the right shaft on lie on your clubs could shave a few strokes a round.

Playing tomorrow. Feel like I went from a fitting to feeling great to losing my swing. Not just irons that I got fitted for but everything . Then felt better today on the sim today. So will see if I want to quit tomorrow

Picked up a set of M6's, I was using 20-year-old Calloway's x-18s, I have never bought a set of clubs in my life, my Buddie always gave me his old ones. M6 added 15 yards for sure, so 300 bucks well spent.

Played over at AVI yesterday now that Laughlin Ranch has decided to screw over its members and block out all tee times until 2 in the afternoon in order to grab all they can from non members.

View from Newcastle golf club! Didn’t get to play but what a great location. That’s downtown Seattle in the background.

Ended up playing decent. 85, but had 5 penalty strokes. I found water all over, 1 OB and 1 unplayable. Drives were the best in a while. Had a bit of bad luck on the 1 2 holes with weird kicks into fairway bunkers.

Few of the fairways were a little rough, but 4 hour round played a few extra holes and shot a 85 with a triple and double on way out 17/18th.

Set up a single for 6:36 Sunday at Escena. Love that place. Haven’t been in a couple years or played golf in a few months. Pretty excited. Should be interesting. One of my favorite tracks
Such a fun course. Jealous for sure. Have fun bro.

I've really been working on my swing and early extension issues. Irons are getting better but then I regressed pretty hard yesterday, and my driver was dialed in like crazy and now that's off lol. Golf is frustrating.

Anyone recommend any good swing coach online? I don't just want the AI analysis, I'd like a real person.

We don't have many options in my area for lessons and with my schedule changing by the minute it's hard to commit to anything anyway. It would be nice to just video the swing and get some feedback and drills and then make adjustments and start the cycle again.

Golf is a four letter word for a reason.

4 of the last 5 rounds I played I couldn’t hit the driver, pulled all of my iron shots and couldn’t putt worth a shit. I shot over a 100, including one round of 112! I absolutely sucked! (I normally shoot mid 90’s)

Worked on my swing just a little in the backyard and did some adjustments mentally, maybe 20-30 minutes.

Went out yesterday and shot an 88, still couldn’t putt to save my life ( 35 putts). But the driver and irons certainly came alive! Fuck if I know how that happened.

Ya it's a crazy game. I'm still scoring okay in the low 80s mostly but there is too much scrambling. I'm pretty annoyed that my driver is falling off the cliff right now. I just hit way to many balls messing with shit on my irons and then just hit at least 50 drivers on a row, even changed my grip size on the middle of it lol. It's all messed up.

Got good video of the iron swing to dissect but nothing with the driver, I figured I would get the swing back after a few but it's not happening. I'll have to go back to drawing table later.

I played Torrey Pines North course on Wednesday. If it weren't for a few bad shots and a couple sand traps I would have broken 80. Ended with an 85. Not too shabby. Traps were tough. Fine sand on top, hard pack a half inch below the surface. All that rain we had recently must be the reason.

Here is a story of how I should have listened to D.A.R.E program. Started spring break camping at Vail Lake in Temecula. Then us 2 families rolled 2nd half to Havasu. Weather was crap and we decided to golf Iron Wolf on Wednesday. We were pretty boozed out from camping and taking it easy. Was playing good, par through 1st nine. On hole four we decided to each take a 10mg gummie. By 10 I was on my way to trouble. Haven't been that high since high-school. Called my friends that live off 14 and said come grab me. I laid passed out on their couch for next 2 hours!! Way to mess up a good round!! My buddy got extreme giggles and played rest without me.

Early morning round on Los Serranos North. Joined the group I was playing with on the gold tees. Combination of longer approach shotsand a horrendous short game smacked me around😂.
Thought about cutting the round short after 4. SOB.

Still a great score. I just finished a round shout 7 over with 1 OB and 2 doubles..putting was not great. Drives came back to normal and mid irons were okay but not great. Dialed from 90 in with the wedge. Hit like shit on the sim this morning, hit pretty shitty on the range and then played well.

Haven’t swung a club in a few years. I went to TopGolf today and that was rough lol.

My in laws are moving down here and they both golf, momma said she wants to learn too. Hopefully I’ll be getting some practice in soon🤣

That was my first time going, it was a good time.

We might need some lessons, I feel like might have picked up some bad habits in my time off. Hopefully it was just the alcohol…

It happens. I'm a decent teacher but mainly if you have some fundamentals down. I'm not doing great with my wife. She would be better going to someone else. I think I'm doing okay with my kids at least.

I really want to get some lessons as well.

Not upset about the score at all. Was hitting my 3 wood/driver well all day. Irons/hybrids were working. Lost count of the number of chips/pitches i chunked. Went to the range Thursday and hit it horrible. Hit 12-15 balls on the range this morning and it was worse. 😂. Slowed it down and found the slot.

My wife actually got me back into golfing. Hadn't golfed since I golfed with my dad back in the late 80s. Her and her friends go every Wednesday.

It will be cool to go with the wife. But sometimes, not always lol, I like to go solo or with the buds now and then ..

To be perfectly honest, I think the people we golf with enjoy her company more than they do mine. The only issue I have is her desire to use her club covers and keep her clubs clean after every hit. Let's just get in the cart and go.:)

Lol. I'm with her on keeping them clean. My brush that holds water broke this weekend and I hated it.

No irons covers though but driver, fairways and putter.

Gotta keep it clean..it's like the boat lol

Great day today at Escena. Beautiful weather and course. First off with 2 other singles. Just over a 3 hour round 😎. Hit all the fairways but one. One water ball on an approach. Threw my back out at the 12th with a chunk. Nothing new. Still played pretty well just took it easy. Shot a 86. Greens were really nice. Got home and could barely make it up my driveway all hunched over. Back is wasted. Good thing I got pain pills. Found out if you pay 160 yearly due to become a member you get about 50.00 off each round so it pays for itself quickly if you play there often. Place is laid out really well and doesn’t get backed up often

I asked my wife about playing and she said…that’s for you and your buddies. Maybe some day. So that was when I was playing every weekend with by bud. Now I play as a single since my bud turned into a drunk so I asked her again lol and she said once I retire and we move to Havasu in 7 years. 🙁. She been retired for 6 years and plays Pickleball 5 days a week and told me a while back…” Now I know how you feel about golf” Too funny. Love this women
