There's nothing you are gonna say NGE that is gonna ruin this day.. LOL

RD

Gotta say he has a point. I feel the same way. While I'm happy as fuck HRC didn't get in there.... we still gotta see how things go. Trump has the keys to the car so to speak, let's hope he practices safe driving & not Thelma & Louise the bitch over a cliff... ;) :p I am at this point cautiously optimistic. :cool

For the last eight years, roughly half the Country has had a visceral dislike for the President.

For the next eight years, roughly half the Country will have a visceral dislike for the President.

Another day, another dollar. :D

It's already happening if you open your eyes and look. You don't see a bunch of Syrian's coming into our country, you are about to see a bunch of them that are here on our dime get kicked the fuck out. Muslim's are leaving by the thousands this morning. Several large companies are already bringing production back to America in expectation of import tariffs.

Donald Trump has done more for America BEFORE he's even president then Obama has done in 8 years!

RD

Don't kid yourself RD.. nothing has happened. Obummer is still POTUS.

No one is packing their bags this morning. Whoopi will still be on The View. Everyone had or is having a knee jerk reaction right now. The planes with refugees have not turned around and gone back to Syria. In about 6 months we will be able to see if there is momentum for change or not.

I'm not trying to spoil your day. I'm just reminding you to not get caught up in the hype.

The hype?

We've kicked the oppressive cock sucking tards in the nuts, control all three branches of government, have a man on our side that doesn't put up with the politician's or the media's shit and you call it hype?

Save your bullshit Eddie!!!

I'm with you on a lot of your beliefs, but you are way off base on this one!!

The reality is that he is going to hit a lot of forks in the road with regard to policy, and some choices may be right and some may prove to be wrong. I think some of his campaign promises and the realities of being behind that desk in the oval will no longer align, but I think there is potential move in a positive general direction on many initiatives.

I beg to differ as I am 100% convinced that both parties serve the same group. That group not being the American People.

You're entitled to your opinion, but please remember that it is just that; An opinion. That being said, there is no need to get all emotional.

Do you know Killary? If not, then you were willing to put your faith and trust into a woman that you didn't know personally?

What kills me is the ignorant, filthy rich, career Washington elite shoving more and more taxes, expensive health insurance at the working class, and giving away our money to non citizens,( some of which hate our guts) NEVER paid one dime into our system. Meanwhile our vets are getting the shaft big time. These folks have gone to hell and back to defend our way of life and they are getting shit on. The gravytrain needs to stop. Multi generations of families on the system needs to end.

Don't know how it happened? People are fed up of people like you taking away OUR right to chose for ourselves and instead are FORCING THEIR choices on us. Perfect example your stupid fucking life jacket and helmet laws you think are "needed". This outcome is a GIGANTIC middle finger to you and all yours that feel the same way.

Nobody getting emotional Eddie, just pointing out a few things for you.

Out of all the candidates that have ever won the seat in our lifetime, Trump is the closet thing you've got to a perfect candidate considering your beliefs and you have him dead in the water before he even steps into the office. :rolleyes

Drain the swamp! I voted Gary Johnson as a protest vote, and never thought Trump would pull it off. I am optimistic. As a small business owner, hoping to see taxes and health care costs reset. Bring back American jobs, hope all the people in the rust belt who voted Trump get some of the American Dream back!

So who did you vote for? Did you know them personally?

No one.

Show me a candidate who believes in shrinking the Federal Government to near nothingness, who believes in giving all power back to the states, who does not play ball with central banks, who wants to end all foreign aid, who will end the Military Industrial Complex, who wants to privatize education (give control back to the parent) and one who is not known to be a pompous-arrogant prick or a liar who can't keep her story straight or her husband happy, then maybe I'll vote, because in my opinion, those are the things that matter. Not petty shit like international trade and immigration. Those politicians really know how to get Americans all riled up over rather unimportant issues when compared to the fundamental issues that are really wrong.

It's all smoke and mirrors. What you see on cable news is all scripted propaganda used to push the agenda of the people who own the networks and our government. Agenda #1 being: DIVIDE AND CONQUER.

Perhaps your all knowing messiah DJ can finally tear down that ugly unfinished casino in Laughlin.

Lets not all start sucking each other's dicks quite yet. The guy has to actually prove himself. Just because Trump won, does not mean we are automatically on the path to greener pastures.

Agree with you. However, the market is a good indicator of the confidence in our new leadership and policy. So far so good.

Actually I agree with you here, Dennis.
Let's not gloat till he actually starts grabbing the country by the pussy and making it great again. :)

To me, I'm more happy with the overall here as described by our friend 500. Specifically the SCOTUS. That's huge!:thumbsup

The Presidency
The House
The Senate
The SCOTUS for fifty years

All equals, tough shit dildo boy.

All the best!:finger

The fact that you would start a thread with this title is so perfectly demonstrative of the answer to your question that I don't know if I can do better than you have answering it.
But, I will give it a try..:D
Greg, you are out of touch with the history of the nation, you have become the poster child for the propaganda machine that is the education system, and you have been drinking the Socialist Progressive kool aid for as long as I can remember, creating a caricature of yourself that isn't flattering.
In short, not enough people want to destroy the fabric of the nation to push us over to Euro-Socialism. Too many people in the right places have decided to slam the E-brake on the slow march to evil.
The left-wing that resides on both coasts, even with a slight edge in the popular vote due to urban concentration of voters could not beat down the push of the people in moving the Electoral College. The system, if you stop and educate yourself about it, worked perfectly. Look at the Electoral map.
Living in a city did not give any vote a bigger weight than one cast in Billings, Montana.
The Political Elite has discovered, once again, the genius of the founders. It is a hard lesson, but I take you back to your fearless, feckless and now thoroughly rejected leader, whom I quote, "Elections have consequences."
Indeed.
While for the last 40 years or more those words have been easy, because the progressive machine, aided by the neocons for the past 30 of them, have always been able to keep the established order in place. Washington, DC and the beltway gang of the political class has always entrenched their claws in the trappings of power.
That ended last night.
Historical, dare I say it, revolutionary night.
It is never too late to learn, Grads. Set aside your anger and try to restrain your socialist soul and take a look at the real world.
And...perhaps you might even see why...or even understand it.
Maybe even embrace it.
Or not. If you cannot see the movement that is taking place in this country then you are just as out of touch as the Washington elite has been found to be. They are waking up asking the same question you have asked. The answer will be much easier, and at less costly for you to find than their arrogance, hatred and self serving nature will allow them to get away with.
You cannot imagine the pain, anger, and hatred welling up in DC this morning...but I can.
And I revel in it.

Very Well Said.

The first half of last night was stressful. I could barely eat. Stupid Florida, always keeping us on the edge of our seats. I switched my networks around last night. I mostly relied on Fox News and Twitter. CNN wasn?t calling states as fast, and MSNBC is a last resort kind of thing. I vowed to stay away from that channel, UNLESS things started shaping up for Donald Trump.

Then the results started coming in. Flyover nation. North Carolina. Ohio. Florida? Wisconsin?!!! That?s when the wheels started falling off their wagon. That?s when I started thinking about Hillary Clinton?s defeat. I never really allowed myself to go there before. I didn?t want to get my hopes up, but my country came through. We the People are not stupid.

We the People defeated MSM. We the People defeated the establishment. We the People saved the Supreme Court. We the People rejected the power-hungry, seahag criminal in a pantsuit.

After they announced Wisconsin, commentators started to change their tune. They looked visibly nervous. Eventually, Mockarena told me it was safe to flip to MSNBC, and it was hysterical. I thought Rachel Maddow?s face was going to fall off. I flipped back to Fox News. Juan Williams practically peed himself. I watched the cheese slide off his crackers in real time. It was something.

I scrolled through social media. Liberals were melting down. They wrote stuff like, ?I don?t know how we consistently underestimated the quiet endurance of racism in America.? They whined over ?flagrant sexism.? Others reposted stuff like this:

dog mom @kennabbby
Trump won because he is racist. He won because he is sexist. He won because he is islamophobic. He won because he is homophobic.

We did not underestimate Trump. We over estimated the sexist, racist, homophobic, incredibly ignorant American voters.

I?m sick and tired of it. I?m sick and tired of these uninformed jackholes telling me that I?m racist, sexist, Islamophobic and homophobic. They have no basis for those claims. They?re consumed by their emotions. Do they honestly believe Hillary Clinton lost solely because she?s a woman? It couldn?t possibly have anything with her being a pathological liar who?s spent her entire life pursuing political power? It had nothing to do with the fact that America?s not satisfied with her vision for America? an America with open borders, higher taxes and more bureaucratic scumbags in D.C. telling us how to run our lives?

We?re not racist. We?re not sexist. We want people to come into this country legally. That?s not racist. Progressive leadership in the big, urban cities hasn?t pulled the black community out of poverty. It?s worsened it. Liberalism has failed them. We acknowledge that. We want them to prosper. That?s not racist. And as for being sexist? All issues are women?s issues. I have no idea why liberals continue to separate them. Do they really believe we only care about vaginas, boobs and killing our offspring? Liberals assumed we (women) would vote for Hillary based on those reasons alone. THAT?S sexist, if you ask me. Women care about the economy. We care about national security. We care about the almost $20 trillion national debt. We care about the erosion of our freedoms. We care about the future of the Supreme Court. The list goes on and on and on.

I also saw some posts on how Trump?s victory signifies that America hates the LGBT community. NEWSFLASH: We elected a man who wants to keep dangerous anti-LGBT ideologues OUT OF OUR COUNTRY. Those people who want to throw them off rooftops? We don?t want them here. We want to protect the LGBT community. The fact that we stand for traditional family values and don?t want men in the women?s bathroom doesn?t take anything away from that. Not for one second.

We?re not racist or sexist. We?re freaking SICK AND TIRED of the political establishment crapping all over the Constitution and treading on our liberty. We?re sick of them refusing to uphold the rule of law. We?re sick of being told that this is as good as it gets. We want economic freedom. We want to keep more of our hard-earned money. We want healthcare premiums that AREN?T AS MUCH AS OUR MORTGAGES. We want people to enter our country LEGALLY. We believe in peace through strength. Faith. Freedom. Family. We?re the most kick a** country that has ever existed. All you liberals whining over our ?demise,? GET OVER YOURSELVES. You?re clueless. We were founded on the novel idea that we were endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights. Rights than cannot be given or taken away by a governing authority. This was about individual liberty. We reject government force and coercion. Votes. Favors. Political power. That?s the cycle of every progressive politician. We?re done. We?re sick of it.

Another part of Ronald Reagan?s 1964 speech, ?A Time For Choosing,? comes to mind.

?Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, ?What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power.? But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector.?

?Yet any time you and I question the schemes of the do-gooders, we?re denounced as being opposed to their humanitarian goals. It seems impossible to legitimately debate their solutions with the assumption that all of us share the desire to help the less fortunate. They tell us we?re always ?against,? never ?for? anything.?
But we are. We?re for economic prosperity. Individual responsibility. Fiscal responsibility. Less government. More freedom. We?re sick of the liberal do-gooders shoving their BS agenda down our throats and calling us bigots when we reject their horrid ideas. We?re sick of them scoffing at the principles of liberty.

Donald Trump is America?s middle finger to the media, Hollywood elites, progressive ideologues and everyone else in the world who hates our guts.

I?m drinking the tears our political enemies in a mug today and loving every minute of it. We defeated them. We have one more chance to prove that our ideas work. We?re right. We always have been.

I actually watched FoxNews last night but flipped over to MSNBC a couple times to check out the destruction. Didn't watch much of it over there, but I recorded MSNBC broadcast once Trump secured NC so I can watch this disbelief in it's entirety tonight.

That's why he's a leader. Not a cult leader, but one that has a message and something about him that helps you believe it can be done. We need one of those now. Obama, and Hillary are not leaders, by any stretch. GW was following 9/11. Then he lost it.

GRADS, here is the answer to your question by the way.

https://theintercept.com/2016/11/09...gerous-refusal-to-learn-the-lesson-of-brexit/

THE PARALLELS BETWEEN the U.K.?s shocking approval of the Brexit referendum in June and the U.S.? even more shocking election of Donald Trump as president last night are overwhelming. Elites (outside of populist right-wing circles) aggressively unified across ideological lines in opposition to both. Supporters of Brexit and Trump were continually maligned by the dominant media narrative (validly or otherwise) as primitive, stupid, racist, xenophobic, and irrational. In each case, journalists who spend all day chatting with one another on Twitter and congregating in exclusive social circles in national capitals ? constantly re-affirming their own wisdom in an endless feedback loop ? were certain of victory. Afterward, the elites whose entitlement to prevail was crushed devoted their energies to blaming everyone they could find except for themselves, while doubling down on their unbridled contempt for those who defied them, steadfastly refusing to examine what drove their insubordination.

"the USA is changing", but true Constitutional patriots have shown that not to be true .

If the time comes when 'liberal socialism' becomes the path of the USA, it will be because all of us who 'understand why the USA was born and lived', will be dead . (or overrun with unknowing illegals and refugees)

When that time comes, those liberal minds will enjoy few days of 'anonymous autonomy, and mild- poverty, in a 'light beige' colored world .

I wish them well in their own 'self made' hell of 'social, political, and monetary slavery' .

Liberals ! You have the choice, RIGHT NOW, to join in with this Republic, to promote Capitalism and enjoy the fruits of your efforts, or continue down the liberal path to socialism and eventual slavery .

Another good article from a "former elite" -

http://qz.com/818726/donald-trumps-supporters-deserve-our-support-not-our-scorn/

Here are some excerpts, click the link for the entire article:

For much of my own life I was a Wall Street trader, sitting behind a wall of computer screens, gambling on flashing numbers. I had a very good life. So did the people around me?my co-workers as well as my friends and neighbors, who were  bankers, lawyers, and journalists .

We were the front-row kids, and we felt we had done everything right. We had studied hard and gone to good schools. Most of us had parents who supported us. Our schooling got us good jobs that allowed us to live in nice neighborhoods.

The back row and its frustrations weren?t written about much in the media, which also had been taken over by us front-row kids working in front-row towns and living in front-row neighborhoods. Boots-on-the-ground reporting was giving way to big data, and the data showed most things were good. US GDP was on the rebound; profits and financial markets were growing. The worrying data ? stagnating incomes for most Americans, and growing inequality ? were just statistics. The accompanying anger, frustration, and humiliation didn?t register.

We put in place policies that worked on paper and shipped jobs overseas, eroding many of the heartland?s communities. When people complained about this, we dismissed them as not being educated enough to understand. We would say, ?Look, the math says globalization is a winner.? Often we had outright scorn for things like faith. Church and religion were the antithesis to our scientific rationality.

Part of the American people fought a revolution and won a major Battle last evening , the movement repudiates the past 8 years of control and will dramatically change the course of history in the US The Republicans will now control the Presidency, The House and the Senate ... :thumbsup

This is where Trump should shine, banging heads with the same entrenched life long politicians in the republican party as the one he just defeated. He needs to stay strong and clean house. Get on the bus or get the fuck off and make decisions that are what is in the best interest for US citizens. I cant see the same selling out of the US as when GWB was in office. Clamp down on the border, get illegal immigration under control, do what it takes to get US companies to bring MFG jobs back to the country, STOP borrowing money from other countries!!!, get US debt under control and take care of our military personnel. That's what I expect him to do in the first term. I expect some big name republicans to get rolled under the bus, Trump doesn't need them and wont provide shelter to them to appease the party.
