I really do not want to pencil this out but long ago I went full commit and have not looked back. I run three boating programs: LHC, Huntington Harbour, and Michigan.

* * LHC
* Go Fast Boat
* Pontoon boat with a second upgraded pontoon boat
* Standup Jet Skiis
* Dedicated River Truck
* RZR for the boys and rzr for me

** HB
* Duffy
* RIB boat - for training the boys and outside harbour transit
* Dedicated tow trucks
* Dedicated Race Sailboats
* Yacht Club Fees

** MI
* Hobie Cat
* Pontoon
* Standup Skiis
* Dedicated East Coast Race Sailboats
* RIB boat - for east coast racing
* Dedicated Lake Truck

My insurance agent sends me a gift basket and bottle of whiskey every Christmas. My financial advisor tells me I could have retired at 29.

Regrets...... - zero
Holy schnikey

Some of you have very fuel efficient trucks. Boat costs hardly any in fuel unless I'm doing a lot of boating.

400 in insurance yearly

I paid 3 something for 4 nights at campground. Launch included.

Food. That's a funny one. These knuckle heads buy food to cook, then go out to eat. Really chaps my ass.

For me food and fuel are my biggest costs to do a trip it seems. My son is only getting bigger and he eats EVERYTHING.

NOT Including havasu house, utilities, insurance, river car that stays at pad, etc
typical Friday - Sunday every other week during summer
400 diesel there and back
75 Barstow del taco there and usually back
300 per day av gas - vector
200 per day 91 - toon
200 per day food
100 + per day alcohol
so for an average weekend 1525, X 2 per month = 3050 ish

Can you really put a price on a good time & memories. Honestly I don’t really want to know. If I knew I would probably sell off everything. 😳
Just trying to see who’s a baller 🤣 but honestly I’m happy to say I make decent where I blow $1000 on fuel and it doesn’t bother me. I love my boat. A little too much sometimes.

Tritoon in garage in havasu. 3 miles to marina. $10 launch because we only do weekdays. If anything, I boat less living here.

Honestly, we mainly do local trips to Lake Pleasant, not counting boat maintenance its usually 1/4-1/2 tank round trip in the truck and roughly $80 to top off the tank in our ski boat. We mainly do some skiing/wakeboarding then chill for a lot of the day. We do this type of lake day frequently and split among friends who join, usually 5-8 people. I cover the gas in the truck, and we all split boat fuel/snacks.

I pay $200 for yearly unlimited access to the launch. Overall not too bad of running costs but our situation is unique, a weekend in havasu would be way more but again we split everything mainly. That being said, I learned not to calculate those costs with the hobbies, its something we enjoy doing and without it wed be wound up all the time.

Some of you guys are either leaving for vacation on an empty tank or paying way too much for diesel in Havasu lol.

Excluding costs of house/taxes/electric/boat servicing etc in Havasu.

usually an every other weekend deal but always 3-4 days...
$100-$150 r/t fuel depending on which vehicle from CC
I don't run the boat hard so in reality we use around $100 a weekend in fuel outside of a weekend like SCFW
$568/mo riviera slip (so half per trip @$284)
$200 in restaurantss
$250 in grocery/beer
$200 incidentals
$25 in cleaning products give or take for the boat
$211/mo insurance so $105.50/trip
$75 in marina store bulllshit every damn time (ice/kids stuff/ice cream etc)

$1389.50 a weekend... not including the house. I shouldn't have added that up. Oh well I'm still going to keep doing it.

I am usually low right before. It's almost 200 to fill up around here. If I'm not towing. It's still half a tank. I'm going to need to fuel up at some point on the trip. Even cheap fuel. It's over 100 bucks. 300 is easy on 36 gallons of diesel.

I have an 60 gallon aux tank in the back. Usually last me the two weeks before I go back to the river. Been working great. Saves a good amount cause it’s almost $2 cheaper in Az.

I think your cost with a biger boat will drop considering you won’t be burning 100 gallons of race fuel.

My usual. 21 foot vector twin outboard.
Gas in the truck to and from $200-250.
Boat- 50 gallons will last 3 days and then some. We’ll call that $200 depending how much 91 is in needles.
50 bucks for a gallon of quicksilver 2 stroke oil
Food we never eat out on the river or lake so 200 for the whole weekend including alcohol
Sammiches for lunch and usually do some good bbq or other more elaborate meals at night

At the end of the day, we work fuckin hard. I know you do, I see it. We deserve these weekends and the cost is always worth it on that Sunday drive home.

I’m not near the river and it’s not feasible even a monthly trip, hoping the lotto gods feel bad for me and send help so I can🤣

But monthlyish during summer
Insurance 200$ (boats hard to insure and over insured)
Fuel for boat 500$
Booze/food 100$ (I guilt others into buying lol)
Launch fees 100$
Diesel for truck 200$ (250ish miles)

1100$ish being on the high side monthly. That’s just going sat and Sunday at the local lakes.

Knock on wood, dosent include any repairs that may come up 😅

$220 RT in gas from Chino.
$300-$350- We usually boat to the springs one day and then all the way to the needles homes past jack smith another day
Food-$200-300
Bar bill- $100ish?
Marina slip- $180ish?

Homes- we both have places to stay so no cost there or we wouldn’t be able to afford it really without a group going in on a rental.

I think the food costs should be excluded unless you eat out more at the river. You still have to eat if you were at home.

Also most people will spend $ on entertainment and other things to do if not at the river so that can help offset some of the $ spent there.

When you factor that in it doesn’t cost nearly as much as it seems. There are many times where I feel like we spend more if we stay home.

Some weekends I very easily spend more staying at home. Especially if the prerunner comes out of the garage 😂

Had a largish 450 outboard boat for a 2 seasons. Fuel for havasu $600 a day. $500 in diesel to get there. $1500 for room and slip for 4 days. Food 1.5K. Insurance was $3900 a year.

Delta trips were rough on the pocket book however for 8 -9 day trips. But it's a damn good time if you like to be in a place were you can really drive your cat hard and put on some miles.
$800 -$1000 in diesel to get there
$5-$6000 VRBO
$7000-$10,000 in boat fuel
At least $3000 in food.

Hey guys,

Curious on how much everyone program is. Whether if your boating for the weekend or week. Have a small outboard boat, or big 30' twin engine cat. Just want to see if a bigger boat is in the playing field for us.

I'll go first. A weekend three day trip usually cost me.
Truck $250-$300
Boat, $700 for fuel. About 110 gallons. Two stroke oil $220
Food, $200 (we dont drink alcohol so that saves a ton.)
Launch fee $20
Also forgot to mention. Boat stays in parker. So storage would be technically mortgage as we have a place there.

Shits and giggles. $1300 a year for insurance for the DCB mach 22. How much is insurance for the guys with twin 400s or 450s cats?

We launch at springs and drive to pirates almost everyday on the trip. Might be cheaper if i started drinking again.

saw you at the riviera for your photo shoot last week, launch there for the run to private's and save 40 miles of gas.

What kind of boat do you have? Curious it must be a high dollar cat with bigger power to be at those numbers
Have had several bigger cats , Currently running an M37R with 450s. The 40 Speedster with 860s was significantly more for insurance.

Depends on how many trips I get in. 5 trips $2000+. My record was 22 trips probably $500 each that year.

Boat. Waverunners, dirt bikes, golf carts, river truck and can am paid for. Don't want to figure in those purchase costs. Lol if so $5000 a trip

Some days I feel like it's gotten way too damn expensive and the fact that I burn a lot of 100LL and the new shit show with that in Havasu and around the river makes me consider selling and bailing out into a 10k ish old jet whaler since you know I can't afford a Midnight Express CC with five 500's 🤷🏻‍♂️

Definitely threw a curve ball on the Av fuel. It was so convenient and not it’s a pita. I fueled up last week and told told myself why I can’t have basic shit.
