Hey now, I grew up in the nice part of Downey.:D Warren was cool. beat the hell out of going to Downey High:skull

No disrespect meant. Just can't stop that old high school rivalry stuff.:skull I actually hung out in Downey a lot. I worked at the Albertsons Market on Firestone in 68-69. A good friend of mine helped start a V.W. car club in Downey, "Der Volkswaffa". Are they still around?

Were there any of the Chikami kids in your class? I was pretty tight with Dean when we were in grade school.

Wayne was a class ahead of me. Karen was in my class. Lost contact with them after I graduated.:( I remember Dean playing on the varsity football team.:skull

used to live right behind Furman Park, hang out there, well in the parking lot anyway or at Johnnys Broiler(shame what they did tho that place).

Knew a couple people with some nice bugs but that name doesn't sound familar.

true but you never know, thought I'd ask anyways....

No worries. Even though I spend four years there I didn't do anything with the school...football, dances etc. Most all of my friends went to Arcadia High so I spent most weekends with them, AHS football games, dances etc.

I used to go there when it was known as Harvey's Broiler. The drive-in area has been in a couple movies ( can't remember their names ). The parking lot was also a Saturday night cruise spot, along with Tweedy Blvd in South Gate.:D:D

drawing a blank on most but Pulp Fiction is one, I think. Wasn't tweedy the racing spot, or am i thinking of someplace else.

Monte Vista HS in Whittier, CA (now the LA County Sheriff Training Academy). !972. I think Alan (Boatcop) and I were on the Hawthorne Swim Club at the same time. I'm a year older (unless Alan got setback a grade) and think we were both on the swim club in the mid 60's.
