Red and white one looks great but the check is in the mail on the one I found in Michigan. Its an 88, no power, going to get a new 300sx for it is the plan at the moment. Its in very nice condition other than the clear coat someone put over the gel a bunch of years ago to make it shiny versus doing it the correct way and wet sanding it. Interior is still like new, it has new hydraulic steering and new hydraulic jack plate. Owner had a 300x on it at 95 mph and then ran out of lake, he felt 100 was possible. Clear will be removed and the gelcoat restored.

I am a child of the 80's and I like the retro look, it reminds me of a boat I most likely would have ordered new if it was 1988 today and the one that I would have been drooling over parked in front of Sundance when I was 19. Every time I see it I am reminded of all of the drugs I did back then :)

The boat was sold new at the west coast eliminator shop and sold as a twin, along the way the boat was returned to eliminator and converted to a single. My guess is that owner blew up a motor and opted to convert it back to a single versus replacing an engine. It sat unused from 98 till 2012 in a barn when the current owner repowered it and got it back into the water.

Half of the trailer is mint and the other half is the pink color, its a trip, i really would like to meet the guy who ordered it new.

Anyway, the plan is have to it ready for the eliminator regatta in May, and I am pretty sure I have some Oakley blades laying around somewhere.

Sweet deal Walt! Glad you found what you were looking for! Welcome to the Daytona Club...see you at the regatta..

Now you should do a bunch of lines on the bow and relive those 80's! The younger generation chicks love it now... lol It's crazy being single these days

Holy cream puff, that thing is awesome [emoji106]

You'll definitely win most original at the regatta. Nice find!

Congrats!!!!! Pink is the new black [emoji106] Welcome to the 21 Daytona club! :D

I should mention though... this is the second instance I've seen of you calling it a "300sx". If you continue, I'll have no other option but to ban you.

;) :D

It's 300xs.... and it's delicious.

How did you find that thing? This thread has seriously got me considering hunting after a 21 as well. With gas prices being what they are this is probably the summer to pull the trigger and become a boat owner again.

Dude. I've known you a bunch of years now and this is the first boat you've brought home that really fits. Could this be the one that stays? Congrats man and I'll be searching out a matching, vintage Troy Lee Designs beach visor for your birthday.

Nice find! I think there is another floating around with similar gel. Has twin 2.4s, one engine cowl pink & the other teal.

I remember 1n 1988 The Rob Report Magazine had this boat or another exactly like it for sale by DCB with twin 2.4 EFI Mercury Bridgeports on it for $44,900.00 and I thought,...that is finest looking MF boat I had ever seen if I had the cash I would have tomorrow!!

Do you know if Jacos will sell them in the crate? I bought mine in the crates from a dealer in NM and saved the sales tax on a pair of them, about $2800 and he sold me all the Smartcraft, cables and a whole host of other stuff for his cost + 10%. Unfortunately he died and his family liquidated the business.

My wife doesn't get it, she has said flat out that it looks gay, are you going to redo the gelcoat, I'm like f no, it's gorgeous. She's like the 80's are gone time to move on. Wait till she sees the bad boy club sticker on the back of the truck.

I'm thinking a cool name would be "21 again" or "21-A-Day".

I think it's a great looking boat. I don't recall ever seeing a 19 or 21 that I wouldn't own. Something about that hull pretty much says IDGAF. Maybe that's why I've always liked it! :D

The stereo should only play Wham, Duran Duran, Van Halen, The Clash, Dire Straits, Pet Shop Boys etc...

That should get her to understand better [emoji2]

I love this boat [emoji106]
