Red and white one looks great but the check is in the mail on the one I found in Michigan. Its an 88, no power, going to get a new 300sx for it is the plan at the moment. Its in very nice condition other than the clear coat someone put over the gel a bunch of years ago to make it shiny versus doing it the correct way and wet sanding it. Interior is still like new, it has new hydraulic steering and new hydraulic jack plate. Owner had a 300x on it at 95 mph and then ran out of lake, he felt 100 was possible. Clear will be removed and the gelcoat restored.
I am a child of the 80's and I like the retro look, it reminds me of a boat I most likely would have ordered new if it was 1988 today and the one that I would have been drooling over parked in front of Sundance when I was 19. Every time I see it I am reminded of all of the drugs I did back then
The boat was sold new at the west coast eliminator shop and sold as a twin, along the way the boat was returned to eliminator and converted to a single. My guess is that owner blew up a motor and opted to convert it back to a single versus replacing an engine. It sat unused from 98 till 2012 in a barn when the current owner repowered it and got it back into the water.
Half of the trailer is mint and the other half is the pink color, its a trip, i really would like to meet the guy who ordered it new.
Anyway, the plan is have to it ready for the eliminator regatta in May, and I am pretty sure I have some Oakley blades laying around somewhere.
Sweet deal Walt! Glad you found what you were looking for! Welcome to the Daytona Club...see you at the regatta..
