I’ve never done a LAM thread…but LAM I got a new (to me) toy hauler…I know it’s not a typical baller RDP trailer, but I did pay cash for it so I should get some credit.

I’ve only towed it home so far, about 40 miles…boy this thing is a heavy bitch especially coming from towing a 23’ model.

That warrior a classic! Great trailer, much nicer than ours.

You are going to love it.

So when the Weekend Warrior critics come out, there will be some talk of welding in supports for the outer walls or something like that. It might be a good preventative measure. I never had one, I just remember reading about the issue and seeing pics.

I had a similar looking Attitude, 30' bumper pull. Electric beds in the back, front sleeper. It was great for the family. We had a ton of fun with it. I added a second roof mounted AC unit over the last skylight opening. It just ran off a plug and heavy duty extension cord. It made summers in the desert doable.

Congrats!

I had a FS2300 model for about 8 years, loved that trailer and it worked well for us, but wife now wants to go for rides rather then stay in camp, so we had to get rid of the 2 seater and upgrade to a 4 seater...but before we can do that we had to upgrade the trailer first to fit the 4 seater...I am not a huge fan of 5th wheels, I love my bed space for crap that I don't want to throw inside the trailer, so ended up with this FS3000

I'm sure when Binocular Bob wakes up he will have his $.02 to add. That's a clean trailer though. If you're saying it heavy dry, I wonder how it will feel loaded.

Yes, I am aware of those issues, the guy I bought this trailer from spent about $10k in upgrades/repairs between Dec 2021 and Jan 2022, which included the frame reinforcement for both wall sag and tounge, complete roof scrape and reseal, all new seals around compartment doors, resealing of windows and compartments, axle/brake/bearing service, as well as (7) new Goodyear Endurance tires...He gave me the receipts for everything done

I am not sure if its heavy of if it just feels heavy coming from a 23 that I could barely feel behind my truck when empty

That thing is massive congrats! I had a 21ft attitude and it felt heavier then my 5wheel couldn’t imagine how heavy this feels.

Didn’t you do a lam thread when you got the rzr and the lavey?

LOL yes and no on the LAM thread...the boat one started as just a hey what do you guys think of this boat to eventually the saga of the dmv and buying it....the rzr post was not a true LAM post because it didn't say in the title, I don't think anyway?

Super clean and looks well cared for. I don't think its condition fits your screen name...:D

Just a reminder triple axles are the CHP calling card and that should be a 13k GVWR trailer. Might consider adding a non-commercial to your license or just go for it like everyone else.

 I didn't think of this...I do remember now of a fiasco with the CHP checkpoint going to Glamis...

Honestly, it's not a big deal to get this and can be done fairly quickly.

Until then, as long as you're not out attracting attention to yourself (i.e. speeding in the fast lane), you should be fine. Like others have said before, there are probably more people without the endorsement than there are with towing way bigger trailers or motorhome/trailers that are overlength AND weight.

FSW 3200? I had the same trailer, used that trailer quite a bit. It was always good to me, never had any major issues.

If the trailer is stamped under 10k on the sticker, no need for the non-commercial.

10.200 lbs is the limit, past that endorsement required.

After doing some research, mostly all toy haulers that are over 26’ are over the 10k threshold…I’m sure every one of them have this super duper official endorsement

Might want to trade your truck in for an f150, it would probably tow a little better😁

Congrats on the trailer BTW!

Might as well. Everyone seemed to spend the 2000s towing these trailers that weighed more than their old 3/4 ton trucks were rated for :)

Cool trailer OP.

That is one of the things WW got in trouble for was under rating the GVW !!

They were fine as long as they went by the weight WW put on the sticker and didn’t go to any scales lol

If stamped under 10k, regular CHP will not inspect it If they pull you over.
If the CHP commercial guys (usually in trucks) stop you (usually if going over 60mph in CA), they will weigh it. Out of class DL, has 2 option. 1, CHP writes ticket, tells you to drive home and fix DL. 2, they make you park it (or ot gets towed to the yard) and you have to find someone with the correct DL to tow it home.

Enjoy the dam thing!

haha...I'm still stoked on it...but just a little irritated about this special license...I was researching about the test and all that...and it seems like its about 80% the same as getting your real Class A...

I have a big tongue pull too. An attitude 32gsg. I went to that from a 25 attitude. Big difference in weight. My F250 pulls my new trailer great tho. But you know it’s there

I've also got a large triple axel. 34fs. Forest River. Not as nice as a WW but stout and has no wheel wells to deal with.
Weighs about 7600# empty. Wich I was surprised by. Thought it was heavier. It will squat a 3/4 ton pretty good.
20210319_110312.jpg

Registration says it weighs 5600#.
Remember to rotate the tires regularly. These triples eat up the rear fast.

That they do. When I have to Jack knife my trailer into my parking spot on the side of the house the rear axle feels like it’s going to fall off. A lot of strain there.

Wonder if upgrading suspension parts helps? Like dexter parts?

There is no way that can hurt. Keep an eye on those leaf spring bushings and mounts.

You should see it when I back it in, you will cringe lol, also up a curb when it’s flexing

I broke a shackle on my FS2300 doing that same thing, backing trailer into my driveway on narrow street up a curb...I was just glad it broke right in my driveway, made replacing it fairly easy...
