Since it is the "off" season, reduce or stop the flow for a week to lower the levels. Is that possible?

Cotton takes a lot of water. It is not the off season in the Palo Verde Valley. January is the only time the lower the river to work on irrigation canals.

Got it. I think it is sad this poor family has no resolution.

Does anyone know if the sheriffs dept ever took advantage of the generous side scan sonar offers that were made? I never heard back from the sheriffs office when I tried to contact them.

This is from the go-fund me page 11 days ago. Look's like it may soon but not soon enough in my mind.

My wife and I launched the Sea-Doos this morning at Windsor. Went to the site of the accident and back down close to the shoreline all the way on both sides....looking..... So terrible for the family to have no closure. We can’t even imagine how terrible they feel. She Has to be found.

She'll probably be found not to far down stream, stuck in a whirlpool along the edge somewhere.

In the 1950-70's, I remember some sheriffs offices were using nets with hooks, in hope of recovering the body near a crash site.

I have been following this thread before I signed up looking for updates and this is one of the saddest things that comes to mind my prayers are with this family and that they find this young lady Reagan, like all of you I cannot imagine what this family is having to deal with.

That was so awesome of you guys to try and help. My heart hurts for her family and the closure they are looking for. You are right she just needs to be found. The thought of a kid finding her, etc....just a sad deal.

The whole thing is so terrible !!! So Tragic.
But I can't even imagine not being able to have closure.
Unbearable thought.

I’m not very much into science, but any chance the wind conditions this weekend would create a current strong enough below the water surface to maybe move her Body if she is stuck on something?

Seems like I think about her and her family every day. Hoping this weekend will bring her home.

The problem is at this point she won't float anymore. Sonar is the only way to find here now.

Today is the day Bruce's Legacy is supposed to get involved. I know a lot of the river folk have stored their boats, and dirt toys are coming out of trailers now. That's kind of why I'm posting this...to try and keep it near the surface. My family has about one more water trip, so it's still on our minds from that aspect. I also notice that it is pretty heavy on my mind, both when I exit Topock, and head out to get back on I40. I was out this weekend, doing some work on the place...tired when I got there, tired when I left. It might be part of it, but not all. This girl is someone's kid. Any of us with kids can understand this, we wouldn't want ours to be forgotten. If by next season we don't remember the names, so be it. For now, there is still a girl, somewhere, along the bottom of a place we make memories with our own kids.

The waterways here are yes sold long ahead etc but i was out Friday and it was semi low, why i wonder cant they maybe instead run it real real high for a few days then if that does t turbulate anything to the top since the water was high for a few days bottle it at Parker and allow for a 36-48 hour “Repair period at Davis Dam” to allow for a good low water couple days.

I know at my old place up in Needles, when they dropped the water, it made a big difference. From Needles north, it would be obviously narrower in places, and shallower. I don't think it would have the same effect down by the gorge. The geology is entirely different. From what I gathered from oldtimers, the river as we know it, was kind of formed post WWII. It had originally been much wider, and shallow. They formed the banks and corralled it into it's current form for ag use and controllability. The opening of the gorge is more hard rock, not the sedimentary soil we find through the Mohave valley. I don't think the water level there can be changed noticeably. I know in some places, the rock faces go down 60-70ft or more below the water level. It may make a difference in the reeds and shallows though...I do not know what would help.

Demand for water is too great at this time of year. Altering a contracted water supply darn near takes act of congress anymore.

Why cant they show up sooner? Its not like the river was closed during that time with the pending investigation, etc... is it political if they find the body sooner than the police? You'd think the sooner they get there to help the better for all parties involved.
I would agree, I too question the urgency but do not begin to understand all the factors involved......

I believe I read that they had some equipment down when this whole thing began...and got here as soon as they were back up and running.

According to the article they could not come until the first part of Oct - possibly previous commitments?

I don't think it's about who finds what or when in this case. I believe it was scheduling for equipment, coupled with travel time. It's not a short trip, and they do recovery work in lots of places. If equipment breaks, probably not normal repair stuff. I just hope it gets handled.

They are a non profit organization, doing a lot of good for many families, all over the country. Take a look through their website, should change your opinion of thinking they arent busy, or are operated like a salvage business or something. Moving the equipment over distances that span many states is time consuming and expensive. They rely on mostly donations as well. Maybe paypal some cash if you are able.

Water level will not impact search. She is stuck on something and the current is allowing her to stay stuck.
The sad part about this, is the body should float when enough gasses are built up, unless trama occurred to the body and the gases are excaping.

Does anyone think it's possible the body floated to shore and coyotes drug her away? I apologize if this scenario is graphic, but coyotes are known to feast on dead humans. I read that Boarder Patrol agents often come across bodies and/or scattered remains of bodies in the middle of the desert that coyotes got to.

The bass fishing community is on the water year around. They host major tournaments on Havasu nearly every weekend during the "boating off season." I am sure they are all aware of this situation and are looking out. Moreover, the bass fishing guys will literally be fishing the shorelines and looking into the shallows, especially up river. In in the meantime I continue to pray she will turn up.

I hope she is found and on that note I fish the lake 4 or 5 times a week thru the winter and it just gives me the hebejeebes about me finding her remains. No disrespect at all, just my thoughts.

I was thinking about this as well. There’s a ton of people trolling the reads and the river in the winter.

Coyotes won't eat rotting meat and besides, the turkey vultures would get there first and be an instant giveaway of the location. Am sure that's the first thing searchers look for circling above. Interesting to see what strategy Bruce's Legacy has for next week's search. Hope the family gets closure.

Last I heard the investigation is sealed. I have not checked legal records to verify, but it would not surprise me if someone filed to keep it sealed until all parties are returned back to family members.

No info has filtered out that I have heard. I think they are leaving that aspect alone, at least in public, for the time being. I'm pretty sure by now they know...had enough time to talk to those who can, and figure the "he said/she said" stuff as well.

Was on the water all last weekend, and will be all this coming weekend. She was on our minds the whole time. I thought like some of you have, seeing where the fishermen hang out, one of them will probably find her.
