Give me a call any time SteveFrank, I would love to hear your opinion regarding the propping of these 210s in relation to lift, standard Bravo vs -2, & tabs. I have the motor at 500 hp & the steering assist, I'm unsure if a -2 is the way to go, pros vs cons. Also, with the HP I have, how big on tabs. My goal is a 75 to 80mph boat that is safe, stable, & predictable. IMO, you owned & built one of the nicest high performance 210s I've seen on RDP.

good talking to you, hope we can make it to the raceYour stuff is always interesting, a 2FF post is always fun to check out. Glad you are back! Can’t wait too see where you go with this project.
Wow!! Boat looks great, nice colors!
damn.... beautiful boat!!!!!!!looks brand new... what year is it and what power did it come with? also, are the black things on the engine hatch cup holders???
Your boat has all the I wanna do's to mine... controls, steering wheel, stainless rub rail...... and colors...lol... how much you want for it??? i'll give you 16k... and what year is it...
a better way to look at the plate, is a ride plate... works good on squirt gun boats,,, would be a great add to weed wackers also...but a great add to in n out hamburger boats..I know you’ve done it on a lot of boats but I still don’t get how the wamo plate does anything tabs don’t. Either way love the threads of you tinkering with stuff.

Heres the transom on mine with the extension box and long trim tabs. The tabs are hydraulic with an override down pedal. Powered with a 540. Goes 80+
Thanks....a 400 would sure change the whole weight ratio, no denying the efficiency of outboards.I love the colors Steve! I would yank the motor and run a new 400Merc off the back
1994, 454efi, yes they are cup holdersdamn.... beautiful boat!!!!!!!looks brand new... what year is it and what power did it come with? also, are the black things on the engine hatch cup holders???
ok, so here's how it went with the mach 26p 4 blade.... whole different boat,.. pretty much cut through every roller , and no pounding back breakers,... she still want a lot of tab.... but now I can at least trim it out and can adjust the hoping out....so I cruised across the lake at 55 mph on the speedo... you could let go of the wheel and it would just track straight....so as the day went I bumped up to 65. it was 4000 rpms... so a lot left right??... the tabs where at 8 pretty far down... kinda hit a wall @ 70 mph as the drive was tucked almost all the way in.... I tucked my balls and started trimming now at 75mph.... she started shaking her ass a little so I ran the tabs down to 10.. bow up, throttle down and I trimed her out a little more... she went to the 80 mark and started a shake.... kinda like when you wash your dog with a water hose... the speedo pegs at just past 80 mph.... maybe 82-83mph... that a water speedo, so probley more like 55 or 60 and that speed, she went in to a progressive side to side that was only getting worse...I backed her down real slow.... some thing is not right with this boat
Sounds like a whole lot of shaken going on. After speaking with Frank, N of the river, he recommended trying a 25 Mirage in conjunction with 500hp & stock Bravo at -7. Hopefully you have diagnosed the steering issue.ok, so here's how it went with the mach 26p 4 blade.... whole different boat,.. pretty much cut through every roller , and no pounding back breakers,... she still want a lot of tab.... but now I can at least trim it out and can adjust the hoping out....so I cruised across the lake at 55 mph on the speedo... you could let go of the wheel and it would just track straight....so as the day went I bumped up to 65. it was 4000 rpms... so a lot left right??... the tabs where at 8 pretty far down... kinda hit a wall @ 70 mph as the drive was tucked almost all the way in.... LOL.... wait till you run yours and get back to me....a -7 is gonna be a short ass drive....lolSounds like a whole lot of shaken going on. I was going to offer up a straight trade, your boat for mine, but deal is off, too much shaken going on

That would be cool. What prop are you running, drive length, tabs. Sounds like you are dialed in & know how to run your boat.Hoping I run into you one day out there Steve. I would like to run my boat alongside you. I run my tabs down by feel and trim up. I have a pic of it sitting just right. I'm guessing somewhere in the low 70 range.

Good23 Rev4, stock B1 X, same Bennett sport tabs as 2FF. Open bow though. One of the first trips out when we first bought it I found out quickly trimming high with no tab was a wild ride.
The cool thing with 210's is they can be tame, and a driver's boat all in one. Would I like more power. Some days, but then I remember how easy this 496HO is on fuel, and how reliable. I would not want less power. Every time I see a larger boat with a 496 I think that must be a pig.
Good info... did your boat come with the Rev4 or did you experiment? What is your opinion of Rev4 vs Bravo prop?23 Rev4, stock B1 X, same Bennett sport tabs as 2FF. Open bow though. One of the first trips out when we first bought it I found out quickly trimming high with no tab was a wild ride.

I took these pics to show how tail heavy this boat is..... View attachment 638507 View attachment 638508
as did my 24 schiada.... but hallett don't have the re entry schiada has.....My 24 Schiada sits that same way in the water.
ok...you still at off shore?Steve I will trade you a 28 Q4 for your 26 Q4 ?
steves dcb
a rev four is a tractor prop.. there slowest of all, I didn't try the 23 rev I have because I would only be able to run tops of 68 mph, and that's at only 6% slip...my hallett said I was doing 83....lol and that with a 26p prop...your gonna learn on you own, and I've only tried to help you skip a step... you need to talk to closed bow boat owners... I've own a bunch. and they are different... that and.... plan on spending some coin to go past 70...
Im still at offshore monday thru thursday let me know if you want it i will bring it back from Havasu this weekend. It has a little rash on it if yours is non rashed then i will send mine out and have it repaired before the swapok...you still at off shore?
you can run mine and see if it's what you want, I 'll stop by on my way out to mead...Im still at offshore monday thru thursday let me know if you want it i will bring it back from Havasu this weekend. both are pretty much junk... I had a prop shop check pitch on 3 right out of the box bravo 1's... ever blade had a different pitch.... that's why every time you try a bravo you get different results....Ive had way better results with signature props... I've taken off bravo's that made the boat have a vibration ... and put on ron hill props that smoothed it right out..RON is king of the Hill when it comes to props..this best way, if you don't know,... is to have some one that knows what the boat is doing prop the boat....I just bought a 20 year old boat that has spent it's life with the wrong prop... the recipe's that I got with the boat show a trail of constant complaints of pour handling .... and ever time they looked at drive alignment... the vibration was coming from the prop... and it went a way as soon as I changed the prop.... the ill handling that the boat had went away soon as I changed the prop... the spooky , trimed to the moon at 83 mph on the speedo, well lets just say...driver error ..driving the boat faster than it was rigged for...anyone that reads this...though the 210 is a very nice safe riding boat, that will net a nice smooth ride in ruff water..you can over power them... and over trim them to be very spooky... the hand book way to trim a boat is to keep trimming out till the speed stops climbing, the 210 will trim out and get the whole boat out of the water, probley running a foot or two wet...that's when she gets scary,... that when you better have the right prop... and enough hardware on the back to keep her from kiting away...but i'm just a dump fuc, that hacks every thing so what I know about the 2 dozen halletts I've owned and propped is very good advise of things not to do...so what ever I say or do... do the oppositeGood

watch this 22sr , and how wet it runs...My 24 Schiada sits that same way in the water.
