So I'm looking at a 19 raptor and the dealer said they are bringing it up to my house to test drive. Crazy?

$65K... ouch!
whats a new one cost? :D

Looks like this one has a couple grand in BD lights and some nice wheels.

I haven't looked at gen 2's in a while but i know a year ago used ones were about the same price as new ones.

a hundred grand..if you can find one. It's insane...I bought my 1st gen for I think 58k in Vegas, shipped it to HI. all the on island dealers were selling them for 90+ and that was FAR pre-covid lol. Its way beyond that now.

The dealership Beerun is negotiating with has about 5 on the lot and two in transit --- they're all marked up around $ 33K --- so $ 114-ish.

I get it you don't want to spring for a new one -- Not sure what the "No" is referencing ?
But right now, 4 new Raptors showing on the lot and 1 in transit from $ 112,480 to $ 115,935 (37" Performance pkg).

I have been driving a Gladiator for 3 years but wanted something more road friendly. My buddy owns a Ford dealership so I went up completely randomly a few weeks ago. I planned on maybe getting a Tremor F150, he had a 22 Raptor that was turned in with 12k miles and made me a really good deal on it. I absolutely love it! Still have a bunch of paint work to do in a week or so and going to put a flush mounted bed cover on it also. Already did different wheels and had it tuned.

They want too much for that truck with that many miles, plus in the pics the back seat looks pretty worn, they couldn't even clean the dirt off the tailgate step. I paid $60k for my 2019 in December with only 40K miles, it had the Rigid aux lights, tri fold bed cover, decal pack (for $2k I wouldn't have ordered it), carbon fiber pkg, bead lock wheels, and a 100,000 mile drive train warranty. When I got home I found out that it also has an air compressor mounted under the truck with an air coupling in the bed. I still think that's too much for a 4 year old 1/2 ton truck, but I do like it and have a bigger intercooler and tune on the way. I just wish it didn't sound like a FedEx or mail truck though - all the exhaust systems for this truck just make it sound louder and more annoying.

Good luck on the search, there are some good deals out there, you just got to look for them and be ready to buy when they come up.

Not driving themselves off the lot anymore huh? Great time to break out those negotiating skills
Not sure. I was at Scottsdale Fashion Square over the weekend and in the course of 5 minutes driving through the parking garage I passed or was passed by at least 7 or 8 new raptors. I guess everybody wants a V6 trophy truck for driving to the mall.

El Cajon is known for mark ups, on the flip side they are also known for great customer service.

Mall crawlin' is where it's at - the women you meet in the middle of the desert are just too needy and clingy.

I just bought a 2018 a few months ago, for right around what you offered them with 43,000 miles. No mods, brand new tires, super clean truck. I looked at every raptor private and dealership in most of the U.S. Every dealer is marking up $7-10,000 after its all said and done and they keep you in the waiting room for an hour. I would find one private party if you can. I financed through a credit union, had the cash but preferred the payment this time around.

In metro Phoenix, you can't even find a new platinum 250 or 350, Raptor R's are 50 over and regular Raptor's are 25 over.

I keep hearing how all of this is going to collapse but sure as shit isn't happening yet. 🤷‍♂️

Ill be selling my 2019 once my new truck comes in, probably December. I hope the pricing remains similar ;).
If someone wants to wait its white, loaded, Method wheels (and I have the factory beadlock wheels), bed cover and amp steps. It will have around 30k miles by then.

The Carfax link on their website said stolen and total loss. As the prices of parts and labor goes up, the total losses go up.

Private party in Phoenix, found similar deals in California. I looked at a lot of them at dealers, theyre not budging on their listing price and if they are theyre adding it onto the back end with fees. I tried to get one for 55k otd with 65000 miles at peoria ford and they came back with 65k otd. Meanwhile there was one private party in havasu with 30,000 miles on it for 63k.

That bugs me about theft recovery, if airbags and seats are gone then why total it? Shouldn't be a "salvage"

Lots of cars were totaled in the last couple years because of lack of parts. Simple stuff like fender benders were totaling certain cars at the height of supply chain issues.

If you can ascertain the true story, it could be a good opportunity.

I’ve heard the opinion that individuals shouldn’t be able to sell marked up vehicles.. but it is fine for dealers to do it by the dozens.

Why anyone would pay that for a Raptor R or Escalade V that are slower than a regular V8 Mustang or Camaro is beyond my comprehension.
