It's been interesting to see how many forum operators have tried to "manipulate" the information they feed forum members.

As best I can tell, the bulk of the Hot Boat forum membership could see what was going on there.

As I recall, Greg Terzian (owner/operator) came on HotBoat and told us only three members had ever been banned from Scream & Fly. I listed a dozen in about 15 seconds and was immediately banned from S&F.

These days, the Performance Boats guys do their best to tell us there are little to no politics in their Open Water forum. That makes all involved look pretty bad, IMO. I'm not talking about the politics, I'm talking about telling us they are minimal or not there.

I have a pretty low estimation of the averate intellect of western society. The thing is, people in the boating forums seem to be much sharper than the average shlump on the street. It's not just boating forums but there is an amazing collective intellect right here. It's tough to get a lie past us. Those who think they can slip something by are probably not at the top of this intellectual pool.


I have fond thoughts of Hot Boat and I have fond thoughts of the demise of Hot Boat. I cold care less that Darren was sick. I don't wish him ill health but cancer doesn't make his actions any less douchy.

What ever happened to Blown472? I assume he has been banned from PB.com by now. Why hasn't he shown up over here? I miss his posts.
