Been having tons of luck with Rainbow, for more years than I care to admit.

I keep trying others, but always go back.

So after reading this and thinking I've always just worn whatever is handy anyone else get cracked heels from wearing flips? Mine crack and bleed maybe some new flips would help?

i have a pair of rainbows in my closet that were worn once for about 30 minutes for a wedding. if you want them, i'll bring them down to the lower river for you. :)

i have had a lot of pairs of rainbows over the years. they are comfy, along with some of the other ones that i mentioned, but nothing comes close to sanuks.

Have multiple pairs of Reefs and Rainbows. I think the Reefs I have are more comfortable new, but they get flat faster. The Rainbows last forever but do hurt my feet after a few days. I quit wearing the black ones because they turn my feet black. I pretty much only wear tan ones now.

Never heard of them until I bid their new store at the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica. We start next week.

hmm... small feet, huh...... well, that's disappointing.....

Average sized... Right at average sized.

And if foot size was truly a correlation, ask yourself this... would the "wristwatch" or "nutty professor" been as impressive?

I mean... Not pissing 30' impressive... But just normal, average impressive...

Sanuk is owned by Deckers Outdoors which is the owner of UGG Austraila, Simple, and a bunch of others. They are in my radar for the store. I still sell a ton of Rainbow Sandals here. I think they are both great brands however the Rainbows do last longer. I put a call into the Sanuk rep. I was thinking of doing a RDP in-store promo on Rainbows...... Just haven't had time to think it out and put it together.

So what you are saying is... Wearing Sanuks is the same as wearing Uggs to the river. Check.

You have a point... epic dick tricks for the win

Your final remark makes me wonder.... Lets say we combined Mongo's 30' stream with the "birdbath". I'd say you might have, ahem, stiff, competition. I'll start acquiring some front-row Gallagher-esque plastic sheeting, as this is going to need to happen this summer. :D

Lack of support causes the "vintage" skin to crack. They make strap on flips with heel support but I'm not getting close to any kind of "strap on" anything.:D

In my experience, this is regional. The Colorado river is extremely hard water (note the water spots every time you go near it) and as such is seriously alkaline. That's why we use an acid (vinegar) to neutralize and cut it. That heavy alkaline content is like hell on our skin.

After a weekend of immersion, it dries our skin out badly, namely the thick layers on the foot.

I use gold bond moisturizer every night before bed/passing out to great effect.
