Hope everyone is ok! UL area next door to Tom's place. Not Donnie's place!
Yes they do. I got an email this morning that my boat insurance was canceled for non payment. My auto pay CC had expired. Had it been my place I would have been out a boat also!Wow, hope everyone is O.K. Darn mobile homes go up fast.
My neighbor tells me G24 & G25, I'm in G-30 but not there this weekend. Possible cause was battery charger on a boat (what he has heard so far).

He says everyone got out ok!
You are correct! UL
Again, this is just what I heard (charger), not confirmed.
Just glad the family got out. it's one of my fears with these places being so flammable. I have large fire extinguishers in each room just for fear of getting out should something like this happen.
Most all Smoke Alarms are sealed battery good for 10 years. So once installed you wont have to deal with batteries. It just adds a small amount to the piece of mind factor.I have one in my master under my electrical panel, one in the hallway, and one in the kitchen. Good idea, will add one in guest bedroom. I have 2 smoke alarms but will add 2 more so every room has one.
Cause currently unknown but lots of fireworks last night.Sure Glad everyone is safe.
Battery Chargers. A necessity and a hazard, especially when not monitored.
There are all kinds of chargers out there, from mild to wild.
Regardless of the type I'm of the belief, especially when not monitored, they should be timed out everyday.
Does it help? I don't know. Makes me feel better..
It was my parents place. I just drove them out spare car keys this morning. Everyone did get out okay. More than likely caused by fireworks. We doubt our boat charger had anything to do with it due to the fire starting in the front of the boat. We think some embers landed on the cover.Sure Glad everyone is safe.

Love the sense of humor. Glad to see it’s not ‘too soon’ to joke about it as everyone got out safe. Glad everyone made it out unharmed.Well I’m sure my dad could use a cold coors light right about now. His beers got a little warm lol. We’re just glad everyone is safe and unharmed. It was super sketchy!
Thank you! Hoping to drop a new trailer sooner than later. All we can do is move forward.Love the sense of humor. Glad to see it’s not ‘too soon’ to joke about it as everyone got out safe. Glad everyone made it out unharmed.

I have eight or ten extinguishers around the shop and house. There's a few 5s, the rest 10s. I also have a large CO2 extinguisher I keep close when working on fuel injection, carbs, etc.I have one in my master under my electrical panel, one in the hallway, and one in the kitchen. Once everyone was aware, the boat was pretty much torched. Fuel and the drive oil started going and it was bout over after that.I have eight or ten extinguishers around the shop and house. Happy no one was hurt in the fire, but it sucks the property and contents are a total loss.
Wouldn’t have changed a thing. House was going either way. We have footage now of the awning on fire only. Embers from fireworks 100% started the fire.Matter of time until they roll the no extra golf carts or boats under awnings.
Seen that a few times also at Echo, dam bummer for sure.Wouldn’t have changed a thing. House was going either way. We have footage now of the awning on fire only. Embers from fireworks 100% started the fire.

I got 2 years out of the last one I bought. Did a claim with the manufacturer and they said they would send me out a new one ... Never happened. So I bought the next set from Costco.
Like all batteries they don't like heat, I put them in my MH and they would make it a little under 2 years. I put the first 10yr detectors in my house 12 years ago and the 2nd set 2 years ago. The 1st set had one that would go off randomly in the middle of the night only so I switched that one out under warranty. If you have them in your vacation home you can't leave the A/C off, the t-stat should be set between 80 and 85 when you are not thereI have not had a new sealed battery smoke detector, make two years. Back to ones with replaceable batteries.

First truck on scene had no water. They didn't know where a hydrant was. Took about a hour for them to arrive. With the Fire Station no longer staffed and manned, who responded to it?

After waking up to fire and not being able to find a working water hose I added a few extinguishers to my river pad. Every bedroom had a smoke alarm, also in hallway living room and garage. If I would have woke up 5 minutes later my house would have been engulfed in flamesI have one in my master under my electrical panel, one in the hallway, and one in the kitchen. Been no fireworks long as I can remember. How about no fireworks?
Well thats pretty shitty. Thanks for the heads up. I just replaced all in my home with the new Kiddie i9010's. Nearly 200 bucks for all the rooms and kitchen purchased in contractor kit form. I have been putting these in a few homes so I can satisfy the permit requirements to final.I have not had a new sealed battery smoke detector, make two years. Back to ones with replaceable batteries.

What brand did you use so I could put your knowledge to work here.
That's bad news. OK this is great intel and much apricated. Costco for the win.Just took the remaining one down Kidde i 9010. Shows I installed it 10 of 2020. It was part of a four pack, other three have failed. this is at the river, but not a vacation home, so not hot in the summer.
They had to fill up from the hydrant at end of C row. Luckily there was pressure. I tried to fire my boat off the hose yesterday that is direct connected to main park line and pressure is so low it smoked my impeller. I should of opened it first but that 1 usually has the most pressure and never a problem.View attachment 1397143
I was wondering about fire hydrants. I don't think there are any on B Row. There is a 2-in line from the well that runs behind our mobiles but there is no hydrant.
