That's bad news. OK this is great intel and much apricated. Costco for the win.

I hope everyone involved gets back to enjoying themselves sooner than later.

Now to call about 15 clients and warn them.
Kidde also had a recall a while back on their extinguishers with plastic handles…the handles would break off if you attempted to use them.

Might mention that too on your calls.

Is this park on BLM land? If so, are fireworks allowed? If not is there any concern that someone would be responsible for the damage if they were lighting off fireworks where they are not allowed?

Just curious.

Yes BLM. Fireworks are prohibited. If the campers were caught absolutely responsible. But security chased them on foot lost them. They did drop a big finale cake.

This past winter I cleared the leaves off my awning trying to help with drainage as I have a small leak that drips on my patio. Going to make sure I keep it clean now after this fire incident. It could have happened to any of our mobiles had a bottle rocket landed on the roofs / awnings and there is fuel for a fire. Definitely a wake up call.

I talked to a few more friends last night. They saved Tom's place and were keeping it off Kennas. The fire truck arrived so they backed off as they got yelled at. Took forever to get the water going and next door went up in flames. Had the truck showed up and started spraying water it would not have been so bad.

We talked about hydrants and location. Only 1 I know of. Which would be useless if the power was out. When I arrived they were still having to pull water from the river which is time consuming.

Echo management needs to step up. When I had my place campers were blowing off fireworks to the point of insanity. Both the manager and security did nothing they were called. Here is what needs to happen. Large signs stating if caught igniting fireworks you will be fined, required to pack up immediately and leave and if the campers have been drinking notify the police to be ready to arrest them once they hit the exit. I doubt they will catch the offenders as they did not catch the kids a couple of years a that caused the brush fire across from Fox's, those offenders where from Echo.
