Hey guys, for those of you that dont know my dad Ed, he's a bit of a Fox's regular, and a Parker, AZ resident. Thanks to my dad, i have an undying love for v-drives and fast fast boats in general...which would explain why im broke...hahaha...just kidding. My old man is turning 65 on August 3rd this year, and in his honor, i thought it would only be right to put together an annual v-drive regatta. And if anything, its just one more reason to get that dusty old v-drive back in the water. For those of you that dont know my dad, or have only met him, ill give you a "little" back story. My dad was a little bit of a wild man, still is. I grew up with an understanding that he was the most fearless guy in the world. Climbing a 100ft tree hanging over the water to tie up a rope swing for his kids, only to then swan dive off into the water was no big deal for him. In my eyes he always had the fastest hotrods and the most badass boats, I could never contain my proud like smile when a rode around with him. My dad worked his ass off for many years, and he was very dedicated to being a provider and creating a certain lifestyle for himself and his family. When my dad was diagnosed with the rarest form of non-hodgkin's lymphoma 6 years ago, it was pretty devastating to all of us. To see a man who normally weighs 185lbs, shrunk down to 120lbs is a hard thing to watch. But as stubborn of a guy he is, he wasnt about to let a little cancer get in his way. To this day, his doctor is still baffled by his recovery. I personally think its the years of drinking Coors that kept him going...something in that rocking mountain spring water maybe. After his recovery, he packed up his shit and moved to Arizona, and then eventually to Parker, where you can find him floating down the river in his Schiada, hangin out at Fox's, or working on his house. He's one hell of a guy, and if you know him, then you understand. So what better guy to hold a v-drive regatta in his honor? I do not have all the details worked out yet, but i wanted to put it out there and see if people would be interested. BY THE WAY....KEEPING THIS A SECRET FROM HIM AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!!! Thanks.

I think my plans have me in Parker on Aug. 3rd. The boat should be back together and running by then. Always a good time hanging with a bunch of other v-drives and fellow Schiada guys.

Hey Everyone. Just an update on this event. It has been a goal of mine for quite some time to organize a cancer benefit of some sort. If you have read the opening story you will understand "part" of why this would be important to me. What you don't know is, 30 years ago my sister was diagnosed with Leukemia. She fought a long hard battle for years and eventually won that fight. 7 years ago my dad was diagnosed with the rarest form of Lymphoma there is, he too fought a long hard battle and won. 5 years ago my mom, who was the most beautiful person on the inside and out, had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer due to the degree oin which she was infected. She fought hard for 10 long months before she passed on. I am not writing this for sympathy. I wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to make this regatta about something bigger than just a Hot Boat Regatta. The "Fast Eddie" 1st Annual Hot Boat Regatta and Cancer Research Benefit (I know it's a mouth full) will be about more than horsepower, fast boats, beer, and bikinis...it be about all that and helping the fight against cancer. I am currently looking for sponsors, and know that 100% of proceeds will go to charity. My plan it to make hats, shirts, and koozies. Please DM me with any questions. And I hope to see you all there. Thanks.

Well everyone....the t-shirt design is in and done. Who wants one? We will be selling them Friday through Saturday August 4-5, out of my boat. If you see me around, let me know. The Festivities will start at the south end sand bar across from Blue Water Casino at 11am. From there we will continue to Fox's Floating Bar, where we will announce the winner of the 50/50 raffle. 50/50 tickets will be sold all day Friday and Saturday by me and my lady. Remember, 100% of sales goes towards Cancer Research. Help us celebrate 65 years of badassary while supporting a good cause at the same time. Get your shirts while supplies last. Thanks and see you there. REMEMBER....this is still a surprise. So don't spill the beans!!

Hey everyone...only 3 weeks till the event. There are a limited number of shirts. So be sure you get to me asap Friday and Saturday to get t-shirts and tank tops. Just find my yellow Schiada and I should be close by. Also, remember there is a 50/50 raffle that I will be selling tickets for at $5.00 each. Winner will be announced late afternoon at Fox's Floating Bar, and winner gets 1/2 the pot. You will have to be there to claim the prize. If you aren't there, we will keep drawing tickets till somebody wins. All shirts are $20.00, and again...limited sizes and quantity. The River Regatta starts Saturday the 5th of August, down at the sandbar across from Blue Water at 11am, then moves to Fox's later on. Remember...ALL proceeds go to CANCER RESEARCH. So it's all for a great cause. As well as celebrating Ed's 65th birthday. And it's still a secret!!! Haha. See you all there!!! Any questions feel free to message me. Thank you to everyone attending!!

I was running late, so we went straight to fox's. I saw the Armenian navy go by but never saw any of Aaron's crew?

Holy smokes! Was that your entire crew at Sandbar Resort this last week? I heard there was a huge surprise party but didn't put 2 and 2 together until just now. We were there from Wed-Sat. Wish I would've remembered so that I could have said hello. We were staying right by the launch ramp. Hope your surprise party was a success. :thumbsup Those were some kickass Schiada's down at the end of camp towards Fox's.

Yep...that was us. We had a pretty descent turnout. Trying to get all the pics gathered up so I can start posting. A bunch of people didn't show up that were suppose to....but that's ok...their loss. Haha. I hope everyone had a great time, and I'm very thankful for all of you that did show up and helped support the cause. The winner of the 50/50 raffle went home with $745...which means $745 is going straight to charity. I still have quite a few t-shirts, tank tops, and ladies Tera's in stock and will be taking orders and mailing them out to you. So let me know what you want and you can either PayPal me at [email protected] or mail me a check. Thanks again to all that helped support this event. It was a blast!!!

There is a FB video of most of the Schiada's waiting at the 5 mph buoy and all taking off together. It was similar to the start of a big ski race, but a bunch less speed as everyone kept it friendly and ran together, not to mention some pretty rough water conditions.

The plan was supposed to be to run up to the dam, then head back over to Fox's. We had to detour to check on some dogs in the keys, saw everyone coming back but they didn't stop at Fox's, so we turned around and stopped there,, RD must have left by then.

I was at fox's for about over an hour. The group run, even the kalegians was really spread out.. there was like eight boats then t stopped, then one would trickle in every five minutes or so.

Fox's was packed on Saturday, so I can't imagine getting a parking spot for more than one or two would have been easy.
