There is a FB video of most of the Schiada's waiting at the 5 mph buoy and all taking off together. It was similar to the start of a big ski race, but a bunch less speed as everyone kept it friendly and ran together, not to mention some pretty rough water conditions.

The plan was supposed to be to run up to the dam, then head back over to Fox's. We had to detour to check on some dogs in the keys, saw everyone coming back but they didn't stop at Fox's, so we turned around and stopped there,, RD must have left by then.
