I just picked up a 2017 1500 Silverado, Crew Cab, short bed with a 6.2, LTZ. Only had 35k miles on it.

Windows tinted yesterday. Thinking of doing a mild drop on it like a 2/4.

It's been a LONG time since I've lowered a vehicle. I used to work at Trader's in 1995 my senior year in HS. I was the in house car wash/detail boy. Took care of the owners cars and trucks. It was minimum wage and they got what they paid for lol, but it was a fun job.

Anyhow, anybody have a referral to a shop in SoCal that does drops on a regular basis? I'm in OC but can get further out for the right shop.

Belltech has been recommended as the kit to use. I welcome your input and suggestions.

Also, with a 2/4 should I C-notch or not?

And, @Runs2rch which springs did you use on the front of your truck? Belltech has an adjustable set that adjusts for height, rebound force and compression force. Tempted to go with that.

I appreciate any help from the brain trust.

Sounds like you bought my truck haha. Used 700lb Eibachs. I have to find the part number.

I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 and am interested in lowering my truck as well. I put a drop shackle on the rear end, but it just doesn't do justice like a lowering kit. My biggest concern is the change in ride from stock. How much if anything is the stock ride changed after lowering? I have thought about a 2/4 or 3/5 kit.

Havnet heard that name in awhile....
His shop was next door to Mario (SO-Cal Speed & Marine) when he was in Moorpark. But it's gone now. Don't know if he's doing it from home or moved to another spot or what. He's gotta be in his late 50's now.

Hey thanks for thinking of me @fmo24, @boatnam2, and @Xtrmwakeboarder

We actually haven't really done many drop kits, but minus c-notching the frame, this is within our wheelhouse. I had talked to @J DUNN last week about this, but got sidetracked over the weekend with some exciting events lol. But thanks guys for the recommendation, hopefully we can put something together for him.

We have a 2017 Silverado 1500, did a spindle/flipkit. Nice stance and no c-notch. Have put the Golfcart in the bed and towed my 21' cruiser.

Used to use DJM when I worked at a shop 15 years ago. Kept the stock springs so the ride stayed pretty factory. We had a slammed long bed crew cab dually for our shop truck that would regularly run 100+ or tow a 38’ AMT cat depending on the day.
