Was pulling for the Yanks tonight, just so it would shift back to LA for the last game or 2.
Would've been cool for them to have been at home.
Ragardless, congrats to the Dodgers & their fans.
Was a fun series to watch with Pops !

I just had this conversation with my son.
Has nothing to do with the actaul win.
It's the lost revenue for any city.
Or revenue they didn't know was coming 6 months ago. It's still money not spent in a city.

Winning at home is preferred. But not the plan. Just win..

Not a Yankees or a Dodgers fan but that just comes from living in Northern California Central Valley, but I do enjoy watching great players. It’s hard not to like Freddy what a good dude. Judge grew up in Linden as most of you know a little town east of Stockton where I was born and raised. My sister has lived in Linden for 40 plus years. I’m an A’s fan since 72 and have never seen an owner and a city do so much damage. Congratulations to the Dodgers!!!

I hated (well, liked but hated actually) Freeman when he played for the Braves, super stoked he came over here, guy plays hard AF and when you are a fan of the other team you can't help but hate him while respecting him and his talent at the same time.

I love baseball! Great season but riddled with pitching injuries. Held it together with duct tape and bubble gum this year and pulled it off. Dodgers Yankees world series is as iconic as it's gets so this being the 1st full series win since I was 1 years old is pretty amazing and it was full excitement and some last memories.

Thank you Dodgers for a great second and pulling it off in the end.

So next week. Dodger parade I'm guessing and election. Nope, not going to LA
Yup, right in front of our office! Taken early this morning on Grand. The blue/turquoise lighted building is the Colburn school, where a shiat ton of car commercials are shot. Terminator was also filmed on upper and lower Grand, right there where the guard rails are.

I know what you mean, as I have gotten older I’ve found myself rooting for the good guys in sports. My grandsons are 14 and 16 and root like heck for Judge, he is larger than life for them literally at 6’-7’ 282 lbs. They like Betts also.

That’s not good. I have a lunch meeting down there.
Park at Union Station and take the A line rail to the new Grand Arts metro station. Easy. Or just catch the A line at Azusa Pacific U.

I always enjoy it when Gerrit Cole gets his ass handed to him. Tonight was especially gratifying.

Watched the games in the Pub on the Disney Magic in the Bahamas.
Hellofa baseball crowd.

Dodger fan Actor Shaun Cassidy at our table - a nice person.
Owns a vineyard/winery in Central Cali.

After the game 93 year old Rita Moreno working on a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Fantastic, let’s it all be told, doesn’t-hold-back-story teller:

Cherry Smoked Old Fashon:

I walked over to the bar to get a round for the table. A sexy girl in a hot sundress from Peru was aboard with her grand parents and watching the Dodger game talking to Maynard.

I overheard her explaining how her “IUD was made of copper and kills all the sperm”

The world Maynard lives in.

Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday night, Oct. 30, struggled to maintain order in parts of Los Angeles after the Dodgers won the World Series with a 7-6 Game 5 victory over the New York Yankees and boisterous fans began to celebrate.

Unruly fans prompted police to declare an unlawful assembly in downtown. Crowds in East Los Angeles gathered on Whittier Boulevard with drivers in cars, pickup trucks and mini bikes performing burnouts — prompting another unlawful assembly order there.

Businesses were looted near L.A. Live, including a Nike store, with at least several suspects arrested for the crime. Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in downtown was tagged. Fireworks and projectiles were tossed at police officers, they said. A Metro bus was burned, after vandals sprayed graffiti all over it, down to its frame near Echo Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard — after passengers and the driver escaped.

“Metro is disappointed and angered by the senseless act of vandalism on one of our buses following the Dodgers’ World Series win,” Metro spokesman Dave Sotero said in an email. “We are thankful that the bus operator and the five passengers were safely evacuated before the bus was set on fire.”

Los Angeles police made 12 arrests tied to the celebration, Officer David Cuellar, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said Thursday, Oct. 31. Six were for commercial burglary, four for receiving stolen property and two for failure to disperse.

To maintain safety, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol closed intersections

On Whittier Boulevard, drivers cruised between the 710 and 605 freeways to celebrate amid fireworks being set off and some vehicle burnouts, CBS Los Angeles reported. At one point, the road appeared to be partially blocked by fans near the Commerce Center as sheriff’s deputies monitored the situation.

Los Angeles police declared an unlawful assembly around 9:35 p.m. at Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street after fireworks went off near officers. Five minutes later, another unlawful assembly was declared in front of Dodger Stadium, where police issued a dispersal order at Sunset and Vin Scully Avenue.

LAPD continued to attempt to disperse celebrators as the night went on, issuing another dispersal order downtown at Flower Street and 9th Street around 10:45 p.m.

LASD deputies and LAPD officers were outfitted with tactical gear including nonlethal weapons. Deputies in East Los Angeles were seen shooting and throwing tear gas and smoke grenades as they ordered people to leave. Those remaining were threatened with arrest.

In Pacoima, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert closing the Van Nuys Boulevard offramp to the northbound 5 Freeway.

The LAPD also declared a citywide tactical alert, allowing the agency to keep officers on duty beyond their normal shifts.

@napanutt Where are you at??????

You have trolled all the Dodgers threads as a butt hurt Giants fan.... What do you have to say?????
Trolled? Seemed like good natured banter to me. 🤷‍♂️
Am I supposed to jump on the band wagon just because almost everyone here are Dodger fans?
Had nothing to do with my love or hate for either team. I had a bet with my best friend. He's a life long Giant fan. He gave me the Yankees because he knew the Dodgers were the better team. I lost 50 bucks. Oh well, It's CA money. There's plenty more.

lol... And snowing...
Supposed to be mid to high 70's today. Far from snowing. :D
He’s retired. He was probably in bed asleep before the game started.😁
I made it through the 6th. Yankees took the lead. I figured they'd fuck it up. 🤪

… Anybody have his phone number.., somebody should call him and break the news👍
A couple people on this thread have it. Would have been pretty funny except my phone is always on silent at night. I talked to my betting buddy just before I went to bed and he threatened to do the same thing. I told him same thing "go ahead and call, I ain't gonna hear it". 😁

I love how all the anti-LA Sports fans repeat this over and over, yet riots like happen in other large cities also with a sports championship. Is it as frequent....... maybe not. But it is not exclusive to LA

I cant even imagine what those classy Padre fans will do whenever, or if they ever, win one.

@F.U.IRS Congrats on a great season for your Yankees... Such a great team... I'm a big fan of Judge... Looking forward to seeing your team play the Dodgers in the future.
I'll agree they're a talented team, but they have to cut out the bone headed plays to be great. Physical errors are going to happen, but Cole not covering 1st base.WTF, That's baseball 101 and in the end that's what cost them the game. Judge is one of the good guys playing today, carries himself like a pro at all times

Sports teams should tell the fans that if this is the way you are gonna act we are gonna win and go home, no parade, no party, nothing

I see a rematch next year if NY keeps their team together. They really need to focus on tightening up their defense, they are all really talented in their positions just sloppy sometimes. Great team and they earned every right to be in the world series 👏

Something to think about…

If the Dodgers lost last night, that guy would still have all his fingers this morning.

He should sue the Yankees. lol

Getting ready for next year already - I'm over it.... "Let's Go Yankees" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to the dodgers and their fans which I know is a majority of this site.

I honestly thought when the Yankees got into the bullpen in the 2nd inning it spelled trouble for LA and it would go 7 games. And then I see a 5th inning as bad as any I've seen played in my 46 years on this earth and the wheels fell off.

While I wanted the Yankees to pull it off in the end, I was really hoping for a game 6 and 7, mostly because its a great excuse to get hammered out in the barn.

I was worried we were going to go 6 games. You had us, I was shocked at the errors, routine plays, Volpe play was kind of tough. I want Buehler to come back to the Dodgers. The way he pitched in NY, makes me think the Yankees should try and sign him....

you guys made us earn this series. It was a battle every game.
