The Yankees should take the 5th when discussing the 5th. They basically choose their destiny with that inning.

Congratulations Dodgers you had just wat was needed to close the door.

Otani, this will piss some of you off, contributed to getting to the world series but was not worthy of much during. That was completely unexpected. H'e like fine china that breaks easily. Just ask the Angels.

I actually felt bad for Muncy's plate issues but man he's a fantastic third baseman with laser throwing.

I’m not sure I can order a fitted hat off a website. I’ve tried on numerous of the same sized hat and they are all different to me.

Ordered multiple hats from Fanatics, no issue, they got a good return policy. Only recommendation, make sure it’s the NewEra.

Daniel Hudson and Kiermaier are retiring.

That Leaves-

Walker Buehler- He's going to be a hot commodity, I hope he comes back
Teoscar Hernandez-which I think they should resign
Kike Hernandez- They should resign
Blake Treinen- They Should resign

Joe Kelly- Bye bye
Jack Flaherty- Not going to resign, He was good, but not elite.

I think they should trade Gavin Lux and move Mookie to second base. I think Edman has earned the starting shortstop spot. Or you put him in center. I'd probably make Kike the starting Centerfielder though....

What about Soto. They can’t sign Teoscar and Juan.

Physical errors are going to happen, but Cole not covering 1st base.WTF, That's baseball 101 and in the end that's what cost them the game.
Cole has all winter to pout. Maybe he'll work a little harder at PFP in spring training.

Trolled? Seemed like good natured banter to me. 🤷‍♂️
Am I supposed to jump on the band wagon just because almost everyone here are Dodger fans?
Had nothing to do with my love or hate for either team. I had a bet with my best friend. He's a life long Giant fan. He gave me the Yankees because he knew the Dodgers were the better team. I lost 50 bucks. Oh well, It's CA money. There's plenty more.

Supposed to be mid to high 70's today. Far from snowing. :D

I made it through the 6th. Yankees took the lead. I figured they'd fuck it up. 🤪

A couple people on this thread have it. Would have been pretty funny except my phone is always on silent at night. I talked to my betting buddy just before I went to bed and he threatened to do the same thing. I told him same thing "go ahead and call, I ain't gonna hear it". 😁
Dont worry about these front runners....lol. They are on to root for the Fakers now

Giants for life and fuck the Lads

Congrats on the win now burn your city down. Lol

Sports teams should tell the fans that if this is the way you are gonna act we are gonna win and go home, no parade, no party, nothing
The Primitives would just riot, loot and burn for another bullshit reason, or no reason at all

Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday night, Oct. 30, struggled to maintain order in parts of Los Angeles after the Dodgers won the World Series with a 7-6 Game 5 victory over the New York Yankees and boisterous fans began to celebrate.

Unruly fans prompted police to declare an unlawful assembly in downtown. Crowds in East Los Angeles gathered on Whittier Boulevard with drivers in cars, pickup trucks and mini bikes performing burnouts — prompting another unlawful assembly order there.

Businesses were looted near L.A. Live, including a Nike store, with at least several suspects arrested for the crime. Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in downtown was tagged. Fireworks and projectiles were tossed at police officers, they said. A Metro bus was burned, after vandals sprayed graffiti all over it, down to its frame near Echo Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard — after passengers and the driver escaped.

“Metro is disappointed and angered by the senseless act of vandalism on one of our buses following the Dodgers’ World Series win,” Metro spokesman Dave Sotero said in an email. “We are thankful that the bus operator and the five passengers were safely evacuated before the bus was set on fire.”

Los Angeles police made 12 arrests tied to the celebration, Officer David Cuellar, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said Thursday, Oct. 31. Six were for commercial burglary, four for receiving stolen property and two for failure to disperse.

To maintain safety, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol closed intersections

On Whittier Boulevard, drivers cruised between the 710 and 605 freeways to celebrate amid fireworks being set off and some vehicle burnouts, CBS Los Angeles reported. At one point, the road appeared to be partially blocked by fans near the Commerce Center as sheriff’s deputies monitored the situation.

Los Angeles police declared an unlawful assembly around 9:35 p.m. at Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street after fireworks went off near officers. Five minutes later, another unlawful assembly was declared in front of Dodger Stadium, where police issued a dispersal order at Sunset and Vin Scully Avenue.

LAPD continued to attempt to disperse celebrators as the night went on, issuing another dispersal order downtown at Flower Street and 9th Street around 10:45 p.m.

LASD deputies and LAPD officers were outfitted with tactical gear including nonlethal weapons. Deputies in East Los Angeles were seen shooting and throwing tear gas and smoke grenades as they ordered people to leave. Those remaining were threatened with arrest.

In Pacoima, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert closing the Van Nuys Boulevard offramp to the northbound 5 Freeway.

The LAPD also declared a citywide tactical alert, allowing the agency to keep officers on duty beyond their normal shifts.

All that shit going on and they only made 12 arrests?? LOL....

FAFO Dodger fan. (Graphic)
You never know what a fuse is going to do, he shouldn't have been holding it while lighting it.

I went on a call on a July 4th (23ish years ago) at a professional show that still hand lit fuses. One of the lesser injured guys was telling me that the fuses were 12 inches long and one of the fuses flashed as soon as they touched the flame to it. Before they could turn around and run the mortar (a 4in if I remember correctly) launched. That's not all that went wrong with that tube, the mortar exploded roughly 4 feet off the ground. Very severely injured 1 and moderately injured a 2nd.

Dodger parade in LA this morning. Wonder how many free shoes/TV’s the fans will pick up?

I hadn't seen that angle. The dude definitely did his best to walk it off. That really sucks for him. He Altered his life forever.
While it's easy to mock the guy for being a dumbass, I feel really sorry for him. He'll never be able to do the most basic things for the rest of his life.

I can say from experience he will suffer every day. My injuries from the dog attack are minor compared to his. My hand hurts like hell and the two fingers are numb 24/7, and the circulation is screwed up. Half of my hand feels like ice most of the time.

There are thousands of nerve endings in the hands. The sense of touch and fine motor movements allow humans to perform miracles, from playing musical instruments to performing the most demanding surgeries. Losing those capabilities is a terrible thing.

I don’t really see him as a dumbass, he was lighting the firework while holding it and then was most likely going to throw it like all of us have done but something went wrong, this looks like an unfortunate accident. I do agree with everything you said though

I agree with what you said. I meant it when I said I sucks for him. Maybe I could have chosen different words, but it was a sincere comment.
