Looks good, your view is amazing. All the walls done? You end up using Steve for the pool? We just moved in a week ago.

Do they have to do anything special structurally being you're up on that hill?

Yeah, it's engineered. Basically more steel, squared off bottom with a keyway.

Walls done. Got a few details to do yet but otherwise all good now.
I did not end up with Steve, he was 4k higher even after I gave him last shot. Bit surprised but it's fine.

You're going to have a great view from the pool!! Congrats!
It gets 4 in pool bar stools all facing toward the lake. [emoji106]
As the guys were painting it on the ground they were commenting between themselves on the stool locations and how perfect it'll be.[emoji4]

Funny when I looked at the paint on the ground I thought "that doesn't look like the cookie cutter pool Steve does". All of his pools look the exact same, everyone of them! I'd like to see it when it's done and find out who you used.

The pool company name is what your kids build at the beach.[emoji6]

Congrats, moving pretty quick.

Got a question, did you have any issues getting rid of the dirt? Reason for asking, I needed fill dirt awhile back and was being charged a bit too much. Just wondering if prices or need has gone down. Thanks.

I saw that you mentioned that you were going to make it extra deep. I did the same thing on my pool and it makes it really hard to keep warm. I like the pool water really warm, so I have to keep the pool cover on most of the time to keep it hot enough for us. I wish that I had kept it a little shallower. Oh well, water under the bridge now... What a great view you are going to have there...:thumbsup:thumbsup

How much of the yard was fill? Half of mine is fill and concerns me about doing a pool on it.

Not really deep (5' deepest) but the keyway they engineered is another 18-24" deeper than the bottom. Lots of rebar.

Essentially, everything they took out was fill. Last foot or so at the bottom of the hole hit the virgin ground.
3 feet from pool edge is a downhill 1 to 1 rock slope of about 6 feet. Very little soil between pool and daylight at the rock slope.
