Hello All,
Figured I would tell my story like the Checkered Schiada...awesome find by the way. I grew up with my parents taking us to the Parker strip like so many others. Stayed at Buckskin, Echo and finally ended up with a place at the Marina Village 30 years ago this year. Anyways, back in the mid to late 70's, my dad bought a 1972 Schiada. He ended up putting a blown 426 Hemi into it and had it for a 5 to 10 years and then eventually sold it to get a "family friendly" boat. In December of 2007, Steve Harper (Thanks Steve!!) called my Pop up and said that he thought that he had my Dads old boat in his driveway. Not a week later, I bought it. I will be posting some pics of it back when my Dad had it and in it's current state...stripped. I am in the middle of restoring it to its luster. It's a slow project as I am learning as I go about fiberglass and what steps to take and when to take them. I am also in contact with Lee Spindler and he's guiding me along the way (Thanks Lee). I'll post more pics as I progress. New floors, paint and a blown BBC. I can't afford the Hemi...dammit..:grumble: It's been a pain in the ass!!! But it will be well worth it.
