HOLY F@CK, that's unreal. DCB is going to kill it with this boat. It looked so good in that run. I'm so impressed they ran it, and it did not disappoint.

I watched the whole shootout I though online but didn’t see it. Anybody have a link to the video?

their 120 run was during a break and showed it on a replay. Nothing on youtube yet.

I was streaming on my phone while traveling and grabbed this screenshot.

Pretty decent attitude. This was the 120 run today.

Just saw the replay [emoji1360]

The Victory, Fountain and MTI are giving it some competition.
The Victory and Fountain both had solid runs going, but looks like both trimmed too much, lost water pressure and went into guardian. The Victory looked like it would have been the fastest of the 450r cats by far.

Just when i thought Tony and Jeff might be happy to be on top of their market segment, they move up to the next, and start at the top in that segment!!!!! If you've ever had the luck to meet and talk to these guys, you'll realize their success isn't luck, it's experience / hard work / being genuinely nice people!!!! Tony will litterly give you the shirt off his back, will treat every person he meets like his new best friend, and is a world class person. I couldn't be happier to see these guys grow and succeed. Go, Tony, GO!!!!!!!!!

LOL.. I have a couple of his shirts

Have you heard the 450’s wizz bye? At idle they have a soft rumble and when they go flying past they sound down right angry. I never thought i could like the quiet but if i had the right numbers on my powerball this would be it for sure.
Agree 100%. Nice quiet rumble at idle. Acceleration is outstanding. The sound at higher RPM’s is pretty badass.

Twin Blown 283's 👍

My first guess last week was 121.8.

Sorry Dave you didn't mention in the rules that inmates aren't allowed to have an opinion

I think you read what I wrote as being "negative" or "talking down" to you. That certainly wasn't my intent.. To have the quick conversation on it, the outboards don't have the Horsepower of the inboards.. All the mfg's and most of the owners are trying to ride that fine line of what is the maximum you can get out of the boat without it being a full on race boat. (having some amenities). That fine line varies a little bit, as you head more towards the Doug Wright it's going to be more of a race boat, and as you head towards DCB it's going to have some more creature comforts. With the Outboards though very few people will put all the weight into one that would be a cabin (not saying no one, because obviously there is someone in this thread that is building one with "something" underneath.. what that is we will see).

The second problem is the true tunnel Cat itself doesn't really lend itself to a cabin design. There have been some larger cats (performance, not talking fishing / cruisers etc) that have had I/O power and they have managed to make use of the sponsons themselves as "cabins". I have even seen I believe a Nortech if I remember right that had a head on one side, and a bedroom kinda deal in the other? But that boat was a monster.. There was a few other east coast monsters that had that setup, and had huge HP to put out decent #'s.

Reality of it is though these lighter weight "performance" cats are very susceptible to weight. I know a couple of guys with large Skaters with mega HP, and I know the guy that sets them up, and he gets pissed if they even put 150 - 200 lbs of speakers up in the front of them on the hatches for partying.. LOL.

If you wanted something underneath for a kid to go lay down etc.. I'm sure DCB would accommodate, and they might even put some iPads down there on the walls for the kids to watch movies or something. For full size adults to get out of the rain? You are either gonna get a large Bimini top, or a different boat though..

Because I'm just not sure how you would fit in the middle of this thing. You can see the top of the tunnel to the bottom of the windshield.. There just isn't much there to work with. In the sponsons off to the left / right you might be able to do a reverse lounge kinda like what Nordic did in their 28 SS or something to that effect?

Thanks for posting the video, but the first time it played I was looking away and could only hear it so I thought someone posted a video of two bass boats racing to a fishing hole. ;)

I've never heard a bass boat sound like that.. Maybe a formula 1 car?
