So badass, What does it run with the 90?
Didn't really get a chance to open it up. Just let both the kids run it back and forth around the break wall. Wife was on board and had open heart surgery a couple months ago so didn't want to beat her up. With the way it's propped I'm guessing 40 with 4 adults on board though. I'll find out tomorrow, gonna run it around some more. I need to pin it and get speed and RPM.

This happened yesterday. Just thought I would post it somewhere. Here is as good as any.

Also……. @Tank, Do your son a favor and get 2 sets of knee pads for the Whaler. Your son and his dates will appreciate it. The ones with the hard plastic knee caps work the best, as far as comfort goes.

Ok…… here is the pic I hijacked from Facebook.

Was passing someone on our way home from Ocotillo and it went into limp mode and had a check engine light. As we got to the shoulder it completely shut down. Not sure what the issue is yet.
Bummer. Hope that it is a quick, easy and cheap fix. 👍

Sorry...I guess the only "plus" is that it was on your way home. Hopefully something easy and inexpensive.

100%. Whatever it is is a huge bummer, but it could have been much worse. Thankfully we were near an RV/diesel repair shop. The tow company and AAA were great. We were close to my grandma’s house in Palm Desert, so I was able to get my family off the side of the highway safely. And my parents were home so they were able to come get us snag the trailer. Very thankful for all of those factors.

How much do you think that thing sways in a 8.0 earthquake😳? Good thing earthquakes rarely happen in Japan 🙄🤣
Couldn’t even imagine. Had an office in the 6th floor in the Fluor Daniel building in Irvine. Made to withstand anything. Damn building rocked and swayed like a SOB on every quake.

I tried to look for an answer but too many variables that I don't have an answer for. I figure it would be measured in meters though

I hear ya man. That’s one of the few things I was thinking as we were up there. “How much is this thing moving right now?” But you’d never be able to tell. It’s so massive. And at 450 meters to the top observation deck, I’m guessing it’s another 100-150 meters more to the tippy top.

A base jumpers dream.

Fun fact - the elevator ascends at 600 m/s, there’s a Speedo readout in the elevator on the way up.

I was checking out the welding. Sub-arc welded straight seams, hand welded (flux core I believe) circumferential and transitions/fishmouths. Probably years and years of welding.

The straight seams were about 30ft in length each segment of cylinder (impressive). Diameter of section approx 5 or 6 feet.

My buddy is a big Integra fan and builds some pretty fast 4 bangers. His last one was a late 90's he built and ran 7.86 at 184mph. People at the track were shocked when he made a pass.
This is his first car from high-school. I think it's a 95 and hadn't been driven in about 20 years. It was completely stock untill a couple of months ago. Not quite finished with his build but this thing is gonna rip!

Still a lot of work to be done but the wife is finally able to get her car in the garage after having construction materials in there for 13 months. WoooHooooo!!! I hope that in another month I will be able to squeeze my truck in and EVERY vehicle/toy is in the garages. It seams like it has been a lifetime since that happened.
