Current Situation - a picture thread

Chauffeured our local council women in the vallejo 4th of July parade today.

Currently marinized LML Duramax’s. But have a good quote for a new pair of Yanmar 8LV370’s. The duramax’s run good and are easily tunable with efi live but am working thru some electrical issues with the port engine and have gotten spooked at the idea of running far offshore with the GM harnesses. So planning on putting them back on the test stands until I can have true marine engine harnesses made up.
I don’t think the GM engine harnesses are compatible for long term salt water use and I’m tired of keeping this boat tied up as a test mule.

That’s a fkn Unicorn!

Well unicorn is a nice way to put it. Crazy might be better. Back a few years ago a guy I know had a shop in Bradenton FL called Boat Haus. He allowed a buddy to use part of his shop to convert a 36 midnight express to a CC. A few more of us got excited about building boats and having a 40’ fishing tournament capable boat without spending 500k. So in a way we kinda egged each other on. Not sure if all got completed but I know that locally there is one 38 scarab, two 40 Excalibur Hawks, 36 midnight and my 39 stinger.
One of the Excalibur’s is running 440 yanmars ASD 8’s, I have wet 6’s and the others are running 315 yanmars with bravo xr’s. If it weren’t for the 36 midnight, none of them would have been built. Not sure if that’s good or bad lol.

This was only the second time in my 53 year's that I have been in there. We have a family cabin right up the street that great grandparents built in 1930's.

You do a build thread? That shit is cool. Saw a guy in the Bahama take an old 42 cigarette revolution and covert to CC and outboards. Pretty cool to see people repurpose the older boats that would most likely just rot away from neglect get a second life.
