Damn, those boats are amazing and a sobering reminder of one's true scale of monetary worth, or serious lack thereof. 😖
Thanks for sharing, wow 👍👍👍

The first video is earlier today. I just shot the second one. My current situation is waiting for a broken train bridge.

Little haulover inlet visit? Nice.
You come 2,800 miles to see Haulover and missed the Money shot. Pretty quiet day but the triple engine CC hit the cruiser wake at a good clip, and sent it nicely. I was too early with the pic. 5 of us and we all missed it….rookies, I know..

Damn there are some beautifuls boat out here!

SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHARK!
Jesus, you guys are brave, or 🤔 ;)
Blood in the water, sharks obviously circling and hungry, I'm surprised one didn't end up on that submerged step (Or platform ?) and fight you for the tuna or just grab a leg to go

I keep saying, it’s usually not rough there. Gotta kinda be perfect storm, swell (which is kinda rare becasuse of the shallow
Shelf, wind, again, usually not windy and rapid tide going out.

But still some good scenery and fun area.

Experienced guys .... but not saying you're not exactly right. It wasn't a fishing boat thats for sure.... I got the call @ 10pm day before .....70' Searay was all we could commandeer with perfect conditions.

Oh, ok that explains the large platform and apparently it's ability to lower for swimming or launching a tender.
I've just watched videos of sharks launching themselves up onto a beach to drag a hapless seal back in with them.
Had Mako's literally jump into the boat before we could get a gaf in it.
In fact one Mako did that trying to join me in my Zodiac RIB while I was attempting to subdue him with a gaf.
They are f*cking crazy when they're irritated and especially with blood in the water and the diner bell is ringing loudly.

I would be standing there in ankle deep water OR even a foot off the water, I want to be on the inside of the cockpit, not outside 🤣

My son, wife and I did our best to try to save this boat last week at the Springs. Bad storm came in Sunday night and we saw a father and son that were trying to get their bilge going. We all stepped in and tried walking this boat around the corner to an inner slip but as we got to the end it took a big wave and went down. It was hard for me to see others walk past them.

Cool part of the story is that they got it out and flushed it. It fired 3 days later. They thanked us everytime they saw us. Super cool folks.

Now that's one hell of an impressive Triple play. The "Best Ferrari Ever Built", the 410 Sport Spider that Carroll Shelby drove to more victories than any other car he ever raced. The 1952 Le Mans winning Mercedes, and my personal favorite --- a 62-ish 250 GTO Ferrari LeMans racer worth only about $ 50 Million that stills see track time today. The collective worth of these cars at this event must be off the charts staggering.
Do they haul these things in Armored Transports ??

LeMans was the theme at the historic races this year. They even had a LeMans start at the historic‘s on Saturday. I thought a bunch of billionaire 70 and 80 year olds were going to have a heart attack running across the track and jumping into their historic cars for the start.

The 410 sold for 20 million plus 10% buyers premium at RM. Interestingly Dana Mecum was the buyer. He has a pretty nice collection of historic Ferraris. No idea if he bought it for himself or someone else but he was the buyer.

It there is a recession, it certainly wasn’t noticeable at Monterey this week. Record pricing for the high quality stuff. Even the Latitude was buried behind bigger stuff and had to be dug out like it was a Cirrus to get back.

Oh for fucking sure.... these are some sketchy serious home grown fishing guys ... they wake up spitting out fishing line and will risk life & limb for big tuna days.

BBQ'd some amazing short ribs from Costco yesterday. Dry rubbed then 2-3 cubes of ice in each foil package over indirect heat at about 350f for two hours.
Wife even tried another chili bean recipe that was spot on. Sorry left out the loaded baked potato...
