Omfg. We're always busy at the river on Saturdays. Basically never, ever home on a Saturday night... Today we're home... and after drinking in the pool, somehow we flipped channels and ran into this.

Fascinating. Lmao! We can't look away! Chicks in bikinis playing football.... I wanna play!!!

So if I post and say I want to play with the bikini girls, I'm a perv. But DB says she wants to do it and people fawn all over...I don't get it:rolleyes

Took my son to the Orange Y BMX track. This track was one of my local tracks back when I raced. In a couple of weeks, they'll tear it down forever. Thanks Orange Y. [emoji106]

It used to say "Keep it Local" on the label and you could ONLY buy it in the 805 area code. But now it's gone national. Made 20 minutes from my house.

Have walked into the one in Buellton angry as hell and walked out as if I won the lottery. I've had some good times there and at Figueroa Mountain. [emoji106]

My buddies the rep for Firestone in the tri counties. He explained that when they first created 805 it was unpasteurized thus forcing it to "keep it local". He said that he'd get reports that 6 packs were selling for like $50 in New York and other east coast towns that the stores would have the beer overnight red to be sold. The demand grew pretty large and they decided to pasturize it offer cans and sell all over.

Their ad campaign for it is really cool too. They use local people from Ventura and Santa Barbara county like Matt noble of noble fabrications in Ventura. Black and white ads that are raw and appealingly cool. Hot rods, Harley's, hot chicks welding etc. they're killing it with that beer. Not to mention it's good beer. ;)

Big Ass Fan company. They make some cool shit!

They sure do! The first time I saw their fans called for on a set of prints, I was like who is effing with us? They want Big Ass Fans? Thought it was a misprint.

Got a quote for two in our hangar, [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15].

I've had some mechanics tell me, they don't work worth a shit.
I don't have any first hand service experience with them or anything. The local pizza place has one though that does a damn good job at comfortably circulating a shit ton of air. Typically if you move that much air it's going to be from a smaller source which means high velocities and less distributed. The huge fan diameters are good to move large amounts of air but with lower velocity.

I heard they have a new fire code for fire sprinklers due to the big ass fan. Not sure what it is though. But they say if the fire sprinkler goes off above the fan it disrupts the spray pattern of the water.

why not just make the fan a part of the global shut down?

I woulda thought they are just due to the fact that they typically move more than 2000 cfm (5 tons. HVAC systems that are 5 tons and larger require duct mounted smoke detectors too, unless that has changed in the past couple of years.)

Do you mean when the fire alarm goes off the fan shuts down. Kinda like the HVAC. ? That would work. :thumbsup I have only ran across a fan in the Exide battery plant in Vernon. They had one up at about 70'. We never got to the testing part. The job was over 1 million dollars to us and we never finished because the EPA made them shut the plant down. We got paid 100%. :p

Nice bummer for them though. Ya it just seems easier to kill power to the fan similar to HVAC. You wouldn't want a fan on anyway with a fire lol

Not sure on the duct detectors (in regards to tonnage) but in LA seems like they want a shut down on all HVAC in a commercial building. Recently had an inspector say no need for duct detector if you have full area coverage with fire alarm (smoke detector in every room).
