The 0% and deep discounts on new Ram 1500’s are getting difficult to pass up, even for a die hard Chevy guy. Lariat trim crew cab with leather and tow package for 35k. That same money gets you a base cloth Silverado custom, and I don’t think it could even get you into an F150 save for an STX base V6 model.

Anyone here have a 19-20 Ram 1500 Hemi? How’s it treated ya?

My 2018 Ram 2500 Diesel laramie 4x4 crew cab, just rolled 40k miles. Best one i've owned yet. I also like to think most vehicles put out what you put into them. Treat without mechanical empathy and you're bound for trouble. I've been averaging 19 mpg round trip to the river lately. 75-80 mph. Not bad for an 8000 lb lifted crew cab truck on 35's

That’s about what my brother gets in his ‘18 Cummins as well. Nice trucks.

I don’t need an HD anymore and looking to ditch the economy car and “River truck” and replace them with 1 vehicle to thin the heard a bit. Too many tires to take care of and monitor lol

I’m looking for feedback on the new 1500 gassers

I have a chevy 1500 leather Z71 pretty loaded. It was 37k before fees sticker was 53k. Would think there would be much better deals coming up. Gets great MPG on river runs. Handles my Cobra well. Much better ride than my 2500 on our shitty freeways no chatter like the 2500 on way to river with the lines in the freeway.

If you testdrive a new 1500 Ram you will want to buy one. Same with Chevy. They are incredible trucks. IMO, best deals are yet to be seen. I’d hold out for end of summer, the discounts will expand, IMO. Get that 2500/3500 diesel you really want. Prices will continue to drop. I’m waiting on a discount on a C8... Or Camaro SS
ZL1... at 0 for 84 lmao...

The Ram Rebel seems to be a cool half ton truck for the money.
I been waiting for the Jeep Rubicons to come down on price, I been wanting to buy for 3 months a left over 2019 and the best deals are $9k to $10k off but the last 30 days they have not been cheaper and they still dont offer 0% interest on them.
Even with $10k off they are still $44k plus tax/license and at that price you can buy a pretty nice truck or anything else out there. Can't really believe all these people driving a Rubicon can afford $1k a month payments on them.

Did you see this online or at a specific dealer?

I drove a new Ram about 6 months ago. It was legit

Remember at 0% at times you loose the rebate, or it is reduced. Do the math....

HB RAM has 2020 1500's 4X4 big Horns, Diesel for about 40K net after rebate. Something like almost 9G off, then rebate. The 2WD gets 30 MPG or so... If you can find it that have an optional gas tank at 33 gallons, so 1,000 miles on a tank. I think discounts are linked to time in inventory and 4X4 may have more rebate. They have Laramie for 42K or so net. see this Laramie 2WD deal; https://www.hbchryslerdodgejeepram....e-county-a77c67f20a0e0ae7498f7e895bb701d0.htm

And Laramie has the Bad Azz 12" screen option.

If you go with the gas 5.7, read the owner's manual on which gas to use. My 2006 is 89 only from a "reputable" gas station...ie Mobile/Shell/Chevorn….no 7/11 ARCO or COSCO (not enough additives). It states if needed you can run a couple of gallons of alternate 87 or 91 but a tank full will cause severe damage. It may have changed on the newer models, but it is a huge issue to know...

Thats basically what I paid for my 1/2 ton ccsb z71 back in December. 55k window, paid 37.5k plus fees at autonation in mesa.

We have two. Both 2019 4x4's , a 1500 bighorn with the 5.7 Hemi and a 2500 with the 6.4 gas. both are great trucks. The 1500 has an awesome interior and rides great, I opted for the gas motor on the 2500 and i am happy I did, I don't tow very often but it's nice to have the 2500 when I do. I am not brand loyal anymore, I used to only buy Ford trucks. In 2013 I tried a Ram 1500 and the new 2500 is my fourth. Drive all the trucks and get what you like but the Ram trucks have the best interiors and so far all of them that I owned have been great.

2020 limited only 3000 miles so far. The interior is rediculously plush. Air ride, front and rear air conditioned seats. and that 5.7 gets after it. Tows my 24 cheetah not problem any grade to LHC. So far so good. We did have a prior Ram that went 300k before we unloaded it no major issues. I looked at a GMC 1500 Denali and could not get over how dated the interior looked.

I have a 2014 Ram 1500....only 60K miles on it but I love it. It has been great and it was one of those deals from HB RAM where it was 45K and got it for 30K before tax and license.

I don’t see anything in the manual that says that?

How would you rank the trim options of the Ram?

For instance, the F150
XL
XLT
Lariat
Limited
Platinum

If anyone is interested, here’s a list of Too Tier gasoline that all carmakers recommend, by name.
Costco, Arco are in the list.

A few of my die hard Ford/Chevy friends recently jumped to 1500 dodges, and absolutely love them.

Another buddy, who has hated trucks his whole life and only drives BMW's and such, just got a 2020 limited 1500 ram and said he likes it better than any vehicle hes owned.

I used to be a Chevy fan. But my last 3 new vehicles
2013 Ram 1500 5.7 4x4
2018 Durango 3.6
2018 Ram 2500 4x4.

cant complain about any of them.
Be aware of exuast leaks on the 5.7 don’t replace the manifold resurface it and your good to go. Or headers.

Absolutely [emoji106]

Auto industry February sales in North America, Europe, South America and China, which were partially affected by the virus, were down 30%.

Moving forward, the projections are for an 80% decline in March.

They’ve pulled over 6 million units from annual sales projections from the North American market, and that number is expected to climb.

The deals are gonna get even better, no doubt.

All three have their strong points in the 1500 realm. The Fords with their 3.5 Ecoboost, 10 speed trans and the technology that’s in them. The Ram with their interiors (nice jab LOF) and technology, coil suspension which rides plush / can opt for full air sus0ension, And Chevy.......I can’t think of a thing. The 5.3 and horrendous interior choices puts this at the bottom, along with its styling.

Just my opinions but if you are looking to tow some i would pick the Ford with the 3.5. If you are looking for a car like feel that is plush and don’t need to tow heavy, id pick the ram.

Don't see Safeway on that list. Is it under a different brand name? Or actually lower quality.

If not on the list, then they haven’t met the Top Tier standard.

I guess higher quality can be inferred by meeting the standard, but honestly that’s just an assumption not based on facts.

I think “consistently high quality” for gas that meets the standard is accurate.

And for those inclined....I just got an e mail from Land Rover, all now at 0% up to 72 months. And as many know they have diesels. My RRS is rated at 7,600 pounds towing as well at the full size Range Rover.

2019 RAM 4X4 Hemi here, not a lick of a problem at 13k miles. Comfortable and quiet on the road. Came from a similarly equipped 2014 Silverado.

I you don't mind me asking, what are you running for gears? I have 3500 CCDRW with 4:10's and the Aisin, 14k miles and I get 13-15 mpg.

Weirdest thing....When I bought my 2007 4door JK in Nov of 2006, best deal I could find since they were new was Jim Manning Dodge in Dinuba CA. Well looking for good deals again 4 months ago and could you believe it the best deal was from the same place. Still owned by the same small family; now son. The old school sales guy I dealt with over 10 years ago had passed away but they remembered him like family. They delivered it to my house back in 07 and delivered the new one to me in Mojave as I was coming back from Mammoth. Really great dealership in a small town; very much a family owned atmosphere and sales experience.

That said another competitive place while I was looking was San Leandro Jeep/Chrysler. My high school buddy Alex Gonzalez is a Sales GM there and he showed me quite a few and deal was almost as good. They had an 18 Black 2 door that was stickered at 49K and able to let it for around 41K. If you go the San Leandro route asks for Alex and tell him Mike Brown sent you.

So did anyone take advantage of the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty for the Ram Truck back in 2007/2008? If so, how did that work out for you? If I needed a new truck at the time I would have loved to pick one up since I keep my shit forever.

Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie longhorn, and limited.

Where does the SLT fit in here? I’m seeing those and “express”. They look like lower trim packages. The rebel and Laramie look promising though.

In the 2500-3500 the SLT is in between tradesman and bighorn. When I bought mine (2016) you could get an SLT Bighorn if you wanted as well. Basically a leather versioned SLT or a cheaper Laramie.

LOL. I drove a RAM at the car show before I bought my Ford. It was not bad at all. The interior was nice, arguably the nicest. I'm a GM guy and can't find a reason to buy the GM over the Ford or the Ram at this point. The Ford certainly is most expensive, but you can get exactly what you want.

I know a guy who bought 2020 Sport Eco Diesel yesterday. Rebates were 12-13k but he elected the 0 down / 84 mo and only got about half the Rebates. Still not bad. But sticker on that Fucker was $55k.

I was talking to a buddy that sells Chevy's this am.. He said GM has been shut down for a month and will be for another month.. The dealerships are low on inventory and not really discounting?

I'm wondering if there will be heavy discounts in the future or not now?

Interesting point Dave. Discounts might not happen if over supply is not there. Only time will tell.....

if you guys seen any smoking deals on a 2500 Silverado or RAM make a post or DM me.
i have been shopping since 2017 and have tried all the online APPS and have worked all the dealers nerves in my area :)

there seems to be a big disconnect on the pricing for Costco, AAA, Carsdirect and Truecar. I have tried them all and when i click accept a dealer calls me right away with MSRP pricing. I didnt really need a new truck but wanted one so i have been telling them no thank you.
