I admit to being a bit frugal at times because I try to watch what things cost, but having said that I am really amazed that I dont read more of what we the common folks are having to spend on the everyday little things!!!!!! I go to the hardware store and am appalled at costs, I wont relay those things cause we are all seeing it for every little thing we buy, what I am concerned about is that they say you aint seen nothing yet.
Now we are ok but what Im seeing scares the poop out of me, and going out for a meal is getting flat out scary, and thats just for 2 of us, I cant imagine what you guys with families are going thru ☹️
When will it stop ?????????? I dont know but the future looks very dim IMHO unless there is a big change in Washington!!

I can’t stand fuel prices…

On my way home from work fill up / top off the work truck so next week it’s ready to go $100+ bucks

Jump in the other truck to drive to Havasu top it off $130 bucks

Drive home 3 days later $140 bucks

Wife’s car fill up / top off $70 + bucks used to be around $45

Seems like all I ever do is dump fuel ….

If your an hourly worker & working 40 hr weeks - I don’t see how you survive !

Going out for dinner and drinks has gotten out of hand. I see no end in sight as well. Even grocery prices are crazy. I eat and drink at home more than ever, rather spend my money on toys and vacations.

There is some good news…….

I just filled my boat with gas. The bill was $175 cheaper than it was a year ago.

Too bad I didn’t wait until the end of the week…….. The local news just predicted gas to go under $3 per gallon this week in Florida. Figures! lol

My truck is $200 to fill up from empty. I try not to go below a 1/4 so it don’t sting as bad.

Just wait as the clean air initiative continues to roll out in California. You Californians are going to pay 30 to 40% more than anybody else in the country if your products have to be moved by commercial freight.

Some building materials are coming down. Since covid the mark up has been huge. The shipping prices are down but they never lowered the price. The Pro sales at HD and Lowes are both willing to go down to 5% over invoice.

The window delivery I just received from milgard was 35% off.

The insulation order $50% off.

Kitchen cabinets got a additional 10% off on top of my regular discount.

Most of the spots I go are slow and going back in price to get the sales. Covid pricing is over.

Basically everything starts around $100
Quick dinner. Store. Fuel. Etc etc. seems like anything I go do it’s around $100
For basic and goes up from there.

Friends were out from
England that hadn’t been here in 8 years or so. Shocked at prices in the store. Rattled off some comparison prices like gallon of milk there 2 lbs. eggs pound and a half. Cereal a pound. Blown away.

Shits crazy and needs to stop. However, I’m guessing it won’t stop until people stop paying the crazy prices.

Was at a pro soccer game over the weekend, and the opposing teams fan section was in a corner a few sections away from us. When their teams scored, beers went flying in the air. These are $20 beers

the masses don't care... they'll keep spending / charging it to the cards. I would never waste a $20 beer lol

I am shocked that you question why you hear nothing about it. You do know that anything negative is suppressed by the media (including FOX) and the internet. Good people are putting their heads down and taking the beating. 👍

People will keep paying because its trendy... I couldn't believe people were bragging saying they got a deal on a vehicle when they paid $5K over MSRP in 21-22. Okay, you really got a deal alright.

Yeah , I think most of us can afford this exorbitant pricing ,BUT my heart goes out to the young couples that both have decent jobs but are still paycheck to paycheck after paying insurance, daycare, rent/mortgage , fuel and food how in the hell can they afford to survive? We need some leaders from the trenchs ( like it was set up to be) to see this country for how it really is.

I Get that we are the greatest nation and all but it would appear to me that with the right leadership we could do better.

I went to Bass Pro over the weekend, on the way out I was approached by two Boy Scouts selling popcorn, being the sucker I am of course I said yes.

The prices ranged from $15-$25 depending on the flavor.

Obviously people have not been a fan of the costs because as soon as I was told the prices the mom asked her son to explain why it was so expensive. After the explanation I followed up with “inflation” and that got a chuckle from the mom, she explained that Girl Scout cookies would also be getting another outrageous price increase.

McDonald’s was one of the first companies I saw blow the whistle on consumer spending slowing, they have since come out with a 5 for $5 deal. I expect a similar response to become more common with companies across the board.

Those people are now upside down. I was looking at buying a slightly used XT6, 2 year old models are selling for low 30s, the MSRP was 70+ and that’s assuming there was no Covid bullshit.

We have a good portion of young couples with younger children in my neighborhood and I wonder every day how they do it?
I get paid once a month and it seems like there is less left over without adding any payments or really changing much.

Some of you have never been poor and it shows.

You don't eat fast food three times a day when you're poor, you don't go to sporting events, you don't go to the river. You might get lucky and go out to eat at McDonalds and get a small fry and a cheeseburger. You don't get coffee at Starbucks, you don't drink super big gulps.

When you're poor you stay home and fuck.

Trying to live like this because im not able to save any money anymore. Boys want fast food after baseball. Sorry boys we are buying an RV we can’t do that kind of stuff anymore. I had a turkey sandwich for lunch today instead of going to waba grill. Turkey was like 15 bucks a lb though so not sure if I’m winning or losing there

I went to Crumble, which is self serve and cookies are $5.00 a piece and when paying at the digital register it asked for a 18% or 20% tip to be added. I said oh fuck no.

I cut back on some things and change program around a little.usually don’t bother to go to havasu with the boat when I can go to local lake midweek for alot less.

Going to cut back on glamis trips too and just hit the local desert. Besides I’m tired of all the idiots in the dunes now anyways.

About 3 years ago, we had to put our dog down and the little memorial dog house we ordered was $70. A couple weeks ago we had to put his sister down, the same little memorial dog house for her was $200.

Fucking insane.

I know if I leave the house with my girls its going to cost me $200 to do anything.

See, silver linings are everywhere. Being poor ain't all bad!
🤣

When stuff was bad in 10-11, some days I'd dump the ash tray to put gas in "Lunch Box", my 1990 Ranger utility bed. Every few weeks take the kids for Happy Meals, drink a soda and figured that was a good week. The kids being young had no concept of things like costs, time or stress. To them, everything was normal.

I really miss "Lunch Box" though...thing was a trooper.

The local old school family owned hardware store stopped listing prices on their new stock merchandise due to it changes weekly....

They can't afford to absorb the erratic fluctuation like the big box guys... The Costs just continue to go up
