Coming into Havasu -Construction and CHP

Came down the 40 today. Expect road work all over the place. I encounted it at Ludlow all the way past about 30 miles. Thats median work. Then after crossing river, they have one lane slurried all the way to the Havasu turnoff.

Also. I literally passed 10 Chp’s on the way in. All running radar. My detector was working overtime. Keep your eyes open fellas.

Welcome. I was on tbe road early too. 8-10am on the 40. Thats what was so strange about the Chippies. Ranged from Chargers to Explorers also. All running rolling radar on the opposing lanes. Weird.

Towing. I would go 10 to Rice road and through parker up to Havasu if fresh slurry on the 40. Drove it yesterday no road work.

Just got here, no traffic , no lanes closed, saw only 1 boat, oil or slurry from the bridge to 2 miles before 95 south. No gravel.

I left Tehachapi today at 8:30 am today pulling my boat, and other than single lanes here and there there was no issues. Traffic was very light.

I drove out last night with no issues at all. Left Victorville at 6pm. Set the cruise at 85 on the 40 the whole way. Beside getting annihilated by bugs drive was quick and easy. Never saw any chippies either. Car wash was much needed this morning to say the least.

Just got back to Parker roads good if going to Havasu. Up Parker Dam road construction has started signs say until may 3rd. Expect delays. Hopefully not bad between here and the Dam. Towing boat to Havasu from Echo looks like just pay the money at Black Meadow unless the road work continues that way off Parker dam rd.

Not a single boat traveling yesterday 8pm- 11pm got to needles picked up the sled was there 2 hrs at oasis storage loading up all my gear from th old boat. Finally got into Havasu filled up boat at Shell station on industrial ave 3$ p gallon. Checked in to room at the Nautical, one night cap turned into a whole bottle. Anywho Cheers good luck to everyone coming in the next couple of days. Honestly the whole drive i was thinking wheres the hype not a single boat wtf? Lol

Just came back guys. Both lanes back open and fresh slurry on the 40. Dried. Not a problem. Westbound was a breeze. Lots of bikes going east! Not one CHP on my whole way back. They must be busy in Laughlin.
