Handy Cart DI wash system....

Simple Chuck DI
Greenworks Pressure Washer
Couple of Y valves and quick disconnects
$15 Hand cart (with a few mods)
2 old washing machine hoses

Cut my wash time in half

Does the cars in the driveway, wheel it around to the side yard for the RV

I was concerned about the longevity of the DI.

So far I've got 3 rv washes and at least a dozen car washes

The usage gauge hasn't reached the second level...... yet

So Dave has his own "Quarter Car Wash"? My car is filthy, so where does the line start?

If you head over to the Rack Storage facility on the East side of town. You will see the three storage buildings on the property. The southern most building look for the rental trailers when you see them you are in the right place.

Dave would probably keep the Coors Light, and give me a Miller, which works similar to Dave's China Buffet saga.

I’d have to write it all out but for that kind of money why not just buy one?

Scarab is selling his for 250.00. It won’t get that many gallons out of it, but you will own it?

From what I am seeing, changing the resin/ filters can be in the $150-$200 range. The $250 deposit is eh but getting new resin for only $80 and it will last 700 gallons is nice.

I figured first year will cost roughly $750, and $500 each subsequent year. I based that on 10 gallons per vehicle, 4 vehicles per week. I will only use the DI water for rinse so I think 10 gallons is a big over-estimate, but 10 gallons per car is what I used to rate each option.

The CR spotless claims 400 gallons with what I am assuming is low TDS water. The higher the TDS the less yield you will get.

What I have found out, based on the volume I think I will be doing, buying will cost more than renting.

I also have to factor in the wildcard. ME. I can have a clean truck without drying? Trucks getting washed 3 times a week now.

Short story shorter your calculations are off by miles.

Final rinse is like two minutes at 2.5 GPm. Four vehicles a week for a family? Etc..

I actually have a car wash guy that straightens all my shit out on mondays.. right down to paint correction.

I use the heck out of my system (as its supposed to be used). I’m in year two and get it would last another yearS. The whole deal is 3-400 bucks.

Well shit that's good to know. How many gallons a week are you putting through that system?

We only use it for the final rinse, so figure 2 minutes to rinse hard water off the car at 2.5 gpm. 2 cars and usually a boat or offroad car etc.

Maybe 8 gallons a week?

Honestly I don’t even think it would take a full two minutes for a final rinse..

When you get into July / August do you have any issues with the hard water drying before you get to the spotless rinse?

I usually wash my cars at sunset or night so not really. Who the hell wants to wash a car in the middle of the day when it’s 118-120 out? Lol

How have you not upgraded to this yet, @RiverDave ?

When I move, this is one of the first things going in. Fuck I hate having black and grey cars...

I have been using this di-rinse for about two years washing what I would consider to be quite a bit and have not had to replenish the resin yet. It’s great for my dirt bikes, street bikes, cars with color, and on my black car and truck. When I choose to not wipe the black cars dry and only use the leaf blower, it comes out to about 95% on my approval level. I like this as it’s no touch, except the foamy microfiber wash mitt with a two bucket system, less chance to introduce swirls. All in all, I love my DI system!
