Funny this comes up. I ordered a couple skate boards a few years back from an online dealer that's based in New York. So I get spam email from them with sales and stuff. They just sent out an email yesterday about "last chance to buy before prices increase due to manufacturing rate increases..." DO YOU MEAN INFLATION DIP SHITS?

I think its laughably ironic since skateboarding is such an anti establishment, fuck the govt. rooted sport and most skaters are young, thus have liberal / socialist beliefs that support Biden and the AOC idiot squad etc AAAAAAAND that is the fundamental driving force behind this inflation. It is karma in real time.

It is insane. The cost of eating out has gone up at least 30% or more since Covid.

The only "chain" that seems to keep prices reasonable is Chilis - You can feed a family of 4 at Chilis for less than driving thru Chick-Fil-A, and that's a sit-down restaraunt with a full menu. Not sure if Chili's is taking a tactical move with this or what, but it's appreciated!

No, you could lease 2 cars.

The liberals here are about to raise cigarettes by $2. So probably could get two cars. Groceries are also expensive here now. I buy ground beef for the dog and could buy family packs for $15 and now can't find them below $23.

Getting back on the smart and final train again. Got 3 pounds of tater tots for 4bucks!
Dollar store for road trippin, couple soda and bags of munchies 5 dollars gets me to the river.
We shop at Smart and Final all the time. Usually like their meats too but last time we got not so great ground beef, steak and chicken. My wife has a theory (that I whole heartily agree with) that EVERYONE is low on manpower IE quality control drops exponentially across the board with basically everything you buy.

Correct.

What we have been trying to do is reduce buying the prepackaged stuff unless we absolutely have to. We buy a giant army can of applesauce at Smart and Final for instance and put it in a container in the fridge, I bought the reusable pouches for the kids, fill them up for lunches.

I don't buy name brand name cereal or cookies anymore... rip off. The bagged breakfast cereal actually tastes better better.

Dude. Sorry I just couldn’t let it go. 2 packs a day? I’m a cheap fucker, I’d lock myself in a cave until I kicked it.

Costco last night 745$. But I got 5 faucets at 45$ each and sweatshirts for all the guys $15-16 a piece. Bacon is biggest increase.

Eating out the vaquero steak I like $33 up from 26$. HT grill surf turf up to $37 from 35$. Stopped at the Mexican restaurant next to Rocs on way home $19 for a burrito. With tip dinner is $120-140 2 nights a week I don't cook.

Hell Yea! Now we have to bring the whole damn kitchen out with us, Even just guys trips, they start bitching they are hungry and want food. Im like "drink more"!

When I first started going to the river, I slept in my truck. Only took trail mix and drinks for the ride there.

Then I got serious, and moved up to a dome tent!

Seems like we had Way more fun back then 😜

I recently put a fridge on the patio so we can buy more bulk basics. Not very efficient being outside. But having the storage volume helps a ton.

I have a 30+ year old jet bote, drive a 17 year old car...I sure as hell ain't in the 100k boat category!
Fast food has always been overpriced for what it is. The problem now is the service really sucks, the "quality" has slipped to near garbage...and they want more money for it!

Yesterday I picked up two 16ft lengths of 2x5 tubing, 14g. It's been just over a year since the last time I bought this stuff. About a 70% increase! Stuff was 240$!
Could get it cheaper, but have to drive 100 miles. Well, fuel is up on average a dollar a gallon...

Well, shit howdy. What's next?

Its getting expensive. When I buy smokes its two packs a day. Plus I buy a few lotto tickets. I'm addicted to gambling too. Just that is $1,120 per month. Could get an S class Mercedes if I quit.

Yea but a 21’ Ultra is 100k boat now. Wait till next year when the 23’ Laser hits 150k, and these are 2006 models.

I was just having this conversation this weekend with guys at the river. Used to roll into Havasu with 4 to 6 buddies, boat in tow. We'd all crash in one hotel room, pitch in for gas for truck and boat, barely eat and buy a few 30 packs of CL. Whole fuckin trip out the door for 3 days was like $200 each. LOL Crazy.

If you told that tale of river debauchery here today, and said you did it last weekend, you'd be rebuffed with extreme prejudice. And that is before you shared what you used for a tow vehicle.

Inflation is higher in Canada and pretty much every restaurant I go to has raised there prices. My sushi place, I order the sushi boat for two. It was $37 and now is $42. I order extra rolls and just my order is over $50 now. Go to Five Guys a lot. My bacon cheeseburger and small fries was $13 something and is now over $15. Add in my smoking, two packs $30.15 and I'm almost two packs per day. If I quit eating out and stopped smoking, could lease a nice car instead.

Jeezus! You spend $30/day to poison yourself? That's almost $1000/month! North Carolina thanks you, LOL.

The dining out prices may have gone up but not to mention the quality of the food has gone way down in many places. Bon appetit...

We rarely eat out for the reasons mentioned above. Recent example is we went to Bobby-Q’s barbecue restaurant which has been OK quality in the past. Won’t go there again. Everything tasted like salt, the meats quality was bad.

All I could think about is for the hundred dollars I spent for two people what I could buy at Costco which is a package of three quality racks of baby back ribs, some barbecued pulled pork and a bunch of other stuff for the same $100. We are eating at home a lot more as dining out is no longer an alternative

I thought it was up cause of the new law. Hogs can no longer be raised in confine systems. It was $27 up from $13 or so. Have to convince my Cousins to get the hog farm running again. Pens have been empty for a long time at 1 of the farms.

Geezz. A couple weeks ago it was $19.99. I really like the Costco bacon. I guess I will smuggle it into CA from the Bullhead Costco.

Yea it is the new laws, Bacon wont be outlawed, just the method of raising the bacon was outlawed.

I cooked dinner for everyone last weekend at Echo 3 nights. Was cheaper than our lunch at Pirates 1 day. Roadrunner breakfast was good price and damn good. No wonder it was a 45 minute line to order and no parking. Foxs was wide open for breakfast.

Yep. Not everyone on here has 100K+ boats and vacation houses, but a lot do.

However, this reminds me of all the folks who show up at King of the Hammers in their $100-$300K RVs with quads/buggies/SxSs and don't want to pay the $20 to attend a week long entertainment event.

Actually, it's underpriced. Ever read/watch "Fast Food Nation?" The government subsidizes all of the meat, potatoes, sugar, bread products, and companies that make HFCS (soda). They use your tax dollars to keep the fast food cheap to keep you poisoning yourself. I don't mean "you" specifically, but certainly not me because I don't eat that crap. Haven't for decades. Since I read the book, actually, about the year 2000. Now diabetes and heart disease are out of control, especially among the poor for this very reason. It's cheaper than buying food at the grocery store to make a meal for your family.

I believe we are just seeing the start of high food prices. I myself, rarely eat out, but when I do no fast food, as it is too expensive now for what you get. Here is a hint to save $$...with the new Yeti mugs./coolers...make your own at home when you know your going out and will need or want a meal. I have done it for years as in the 60's and 70's when I was being raised, my home did not have the luxury $$ for fast food. Added bonus, you know who made the meal. Side note, why are you tipping at fast food? I never would, server at restaurant yes...

I'm thinking of quitting. The $2 raise in taxes is too much. My truck is cheaper than smoking!

We tend to only buy basics now days but will get a nice steak or make a more complex meal at home.

This weekend we are going to make Home made empanadas they are the bomb! Last weekend we had a nice rib eye blue package - Costco!

Last night the drive thru was packed at chick filla, raising canes, and in/out burger cars all the way to the street….

The bigger question is where is everyone getting the CASH?

Boat show weekend fox’s gate wasn’t even open at 8:20 for breakfast and line at RR was long but it ran pretty efficiently. Two places I look forward to eating at and never disappoints.

You guys sound like old people. Back in the day gasoline was 15cents a gallon. If your going to spend $100k for a boat everything else is change.
