Never fished Tarpon or met any Tarpon fishing guides. I have however experienced first hand that in general, most "Pro" and especially commercial anglers manifest an obvious attitude of superiority over their amateur wanna-be peers. 🖕
A charter skipper will think nothing of running over your soaking bait to get his passengers on the paddy or boil, but threaten your life and family if you accidently bust their chum line. 🤯
Come up on a squid seiner at night and the fuckers will send rounds over your head.

The attitude of the charter skipper is rather typical of the breed and for the record, it's just damned nice of them to allow you to fish in their presence. 🙏

He must've been a cook on the military. Was there but didn't see shit. So talk shit. The few that I know that were in the military and saw shit didn't talk about it. If so very little.

That video is infuriating, and is one reason I try and avoid almost everyone when I'm out on the water. Anymore you just don't know what is going to trigger the guy on the other boat.

But I was thinking that when The World's Greatest told the kid to take him back to the boat I would have been tempted to tell him to swim back, after all he got on that mother fucker voluntarily.

So I wonder what his next career move is going to be.

1- The fucking cunts (I’m sure I’ll get banned again for that word) on the boat are exactly that! If one of my dipshit buddies is running his cock holster like that I’m taking control of boat, he’s going in the drink, or he’s getting hit….. maybe all 3!

2- I don’t care if that kid is a kid, or a young adult, as a dad, Mr talk shit better pray he’s in jail because my knock on his door isn’t one he’s going to enjoy. You can fuck with me quite a bit. You fuck with my kid and I’ll burn this bitch to the ground if needed to get you to come out the door!

3- Bro boy should have waited until he tried to step over and hit reverse and watched that cunt (that’s 2) fall in the water!

Captain Douchebag will most likely lose his captain license and hopefully any further charters. Could you imagine being a paying customer and this happens. I know what my Yelp review would say. 😂

I believe we had a somewhat lengthy thread on that video and agreed that the dad should have kept his dirty dick beaters off the helm and being a fishing charter captain was a tough job... Maybe we were wrong. 🤣

Running his mouth the way he did, in that area, to the wrong person can end a lot worse than jail. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone like Ex-Capt. Brock found themselves "Coming to," beaten half-to-death in the depths of the swamp. Darwinism on full display here.....

Capt(?) Brock - is obviously totally in the wrong. Fishing at night - particularly in an area of other vessels, have a flashlight ready to shine upon your vessel to make others aware that you are there. Don’t shine that light into the eyes of those approaching.

Funny you say this. We were in loto and a sea doo cut in front of us while we were running like 80. I mean it was close!! Scared the shit out of all of us. Cut throttles veered all the things.

My buddy (the captain) lost his fuckin mind!!! Pulled up next to the rider and goes FULL CAPTAIN BROCK (that’s a new term). Turns out this sea doo rider is a kid like 16/17. My buddy is mother fucking him 6 ways to Sunday and like “let’s go to the dock…” he didn’t realize it was a kid at first I grab him and said dude, I got this and went into hey man for real, keep your head on a swivel when you’re riding those things you could’ve been killed. Things happen quick out here you have to be careful. Etc etc. kid was super polite apologized a million times and was legit scared that we rolled up on him and buddy screaming at him.

Like you said, sometimes people need someone to step in for the good of everyone involved. The best charter captain in the world would’ve benefitted from one of those dudes stepping in.

He's a former Ranger, OIF and OEF veteran, and he is also a stain on his brothers. Shameful.

PUNTA GORDA — Authorities said the investigation into the April 1 on-the-water incident involving Brock Horner came together quickly and resulted in his arrest late Friday.

Horner, 40, was located in Port Charlotte and taken into custody without incident. He is facing charges of burglary with assault or battery.

Punta Gorda Police Chief Pam Smith held a Saturday morning press conference at the station's headquarters.

The original incident took place the day before the confrontation, about 5:30 a.m. March 30, she said. Horner's boat came within 10 feet of two other boats near the Gilchrist Bridge (U.S. 41) that crosses the Peace River leading into the city. Words were exchanged at that point but Horner left.

He then saw the victim the next evening, and the victim, a young man, started recording video on a cellphone.

She said the viral video was a "crucial" part of the investigation. It, along with speaking to witnesses quickly, led to Horner's arrest.

"It always helps to have video when you have a situation like this," she said. "The witnesses have been cooperative and have basically corroborated the victim's statement."

She said the victim came forward the night the situation occurred.

The victim, Gage Towles, 21, posted a video of the incident that went viral. It has been viewed millions of times in just a few days.

Smith said Horner did grab Towles' shirt on the boat. At that point, she said, Towles was fearful for his life.

"He continues to be extremely aggressive yelling at the victim to apologize. At one point, the victim starts to fear … and he became so afraid for his life he actually contemplated jumping off his own vessel to get away from Mr. Horner," Smith said.

Punta Gorda Police Marine Officer Aaron Russell made the arrest. He said Horner was "remorseful" when he was taken into custody. Russell wouldn't say much beyond that, noting Horner's statement is a part of the local, state and federal inquiries at this point.

On Friday, Horner's attorney, Scott Weinberg, noted that Horner was "deeply sorry" about the situation.

Weinberg said Horner is apologetic and experiencing repercussions.

“First and foremost, Brock sincerely apologizes to Gage, to Gage’s family, and to anyone who was frightened or upset by what they saw,” the Friday statement notes. “He is deeply sorry.”

The statement says the incident began as “a moment of frustration” that “escalated in a way it simply should not have.”

“Brock is not proud of how he acted,” it states. “But it’s important to remember: we are not the sum of our worst day. That video captured one moment — not the whole of who he is,” Weinberg’s statement says.

Smith said it's an open investigation with the U.S. Coast Guard and with Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission looking into aspects of Horner's behavior.

For Punta Gorda Police, it is also a "fluid" investigation, she said.

This type of "aggressive behavior is not tolerated in our city," Smith said.

"We want to ensure everybody that the city of Punta Gorda is a boater-friendly city. We want our residents and our visitors to know that we take these things seriously and we want them to be able to enjoy our waterways," she said.

He's gotten arrested. Police press conference:

I'm never disappointed by the level of stupidity that news reporters display when they ask questions at a press conference. They excel. It doesn't matter if it's about a soccer tournament for 9 year old girls all the way to Trump being questioned why Homeland Security arrested and is deporting a criminal MS13 gang member with half a dozen felony warrants.

They're all fucktards with drool on their chins.

Fuck this POS. 🤬

No doubt the guy is a major Captain douchebag and deserves what he gets however did you read the article above that states Gage is 21 years old ? How in the hell did we get to where that constitutes being a " kid "?

WTF difference does it make really? Someone mentioned it earlier that the "kid", whether intentional or not, was doing a good job of deescalating once Capt. Brock came aboard.

Charges had nothing to do with him being a kid anyway

Yep as it should be. If "I'm a kid" was a kid douchbag brock would not be seeing the outside of bars for many years. He will probably maybe see 6mo and probation, if that. If it had been "endangering the welfare of a child/minor" that would be a whole other issue!
