I get it. I bailed for a while. It can get old. But I have a lot of in between time at work so…
Always appreciated his content. Nice to learn about Flo and fired my hopes of getting down there one day.
I think it was him that I had a conversation
with on the phone about boat canvas. Don’t know the guy except from here and it was the longest boat conversation I’ve had with anyone in years.

A lot of truth to this.

At our country club, if you dont pay your bill, your name gets posted on a board. I have to imagine that is rather embarrassing. It's your last opportunity to correct it before the membership says C-Ya.

Also, if you get out of line, maybe drink too much and make a fool of yourself, or dont follow the dress code, you get a "Do Better Letter"

There are members on this forum who can do better. Many for the reasons TPC outlines. Maybe there can be a thread or "Board" calling em out 🤣
I know a gal, a friend of a friend, who got one of those letters from a country club in Ohio. They had a member/guest tournament, and she got drunk. For some reason, she thought it was a good idea to wear no undies with her golf skirt….and proceeded to do cartwheels on the greens. 👀

Back to the topic…..

I will never understand the psychology of having to make an "I am leaving" post. There have been a ton of members over the years who have come and gone. Most just stop posting and then after awhile, someone might make a thread asking where they are. The long winded "C Ya" later post, just seems like an incredible waste of time.

If I had millions, no way in hell would I take the time to waste on this or any other social media. I am hoping he is taking the advice to come see his grandchild in AZ and take a break from this nonsense. An awakening of what's important.

But RD is right, "they always come back"! 😆

If you know you know

Not nearly as revealing as the 3 pages of 106 posts discussing it, including yours and mine. ;)

Always enjoyed your post....RDP is like living in California... great weather, scenery, nature, some hot chicks, but a lot of Karen's and Kyle's too.. .... enjoy your break!
If Dave created a Karen section the lounge would be vitually deserted. So many bitter posts these days it literally blows my mind. So many petty post. So many (hypo)critical posts.
We still have the multiple informative, helpful & genuinely happy posts mixed in so that keeps some folks around.

There are plenty, with millions wasting their time here. Now, if I had billions, I'd be too busy wasting time elsewhere.
I don’t know. Depends where you started at.
There is something about this place. Despite all the BS.
That has its draw
Whether that means you relate when you were young and river stuff
Or now you’ve kind of made it and need info on a build or just how someone else might tackle a project.
So much info here.
So much money here as well that you probable dont even know about because most don’t t flaunt it. (Not saying C-ya did at all).
Again. Jmho.

This has been building for a long while……..

When I was in Australia, I spent a lot of time thinking about my future with RDP. Mainly because I no longer live in AZ, or boat Parker or Havasu. And frankly, I do not really care if I ever boat there again. So why should I continue. My wife thinks I waste a whole lot of time on this site.

I am tired of the politics. I am tired of the thread hijacks. I am tired of my threads being turned, for somebody’s agenda.

Stuff I cannot do…….

I can’t give boating lessons.

I can’t give my interpretation of Maritime Law.

I can’t post my dock, boat, boatlift

Lots more. It’s because everyone wants to either argue……. Or tear me down

Sure……. I love the fun threads. However, those are becoming less and less.

I would like to point out that I boated many members around SoFlo. Since I am leaving, I will share the secret they alll agreed to keep. They all swore to keep secret that I wouldn’t except 1 nickel for boat gas for any reason whatsoever. I am hoping that the reader might get a glimpse of my character. You reach out to go boating in SoFlo with me, only to learn it will be at my expense. You should see the shock it created. One exception, was when I lent Steaming Rice my car and he filled it with gas. He did not have to do this, but I think he gave me a taste of my own medicine. lol His character is unquestionable.

Ive enjoyed the stock threads……….. but in hindsight, I regret, without a doubt, the NVDA thread I started. I really just want to walk away from it. I hate the thread. I truly should have kept that info to myself. If I were the braggart that I have been accused of being……… I would have a PLTR thread. I have resisted letting RDP know how much I own. I mention this because I didnt have to wait 11 years for an explosion. All I did was make a mid 6 figure purchase when it was $15. It’s currently competing with my NVDA holdings. Theres no way I am discussing my BOLD purchase, and why.

Just some random ranting……

Here is something to think about. When discussing a boat for sale in SoFlo, a qualified interested party does not ask…….. How fast is it? If they do, you know the mentality of your potential buyer. (What’s its range, what’s it best fuel consumption at what rpm, etc) Only the Bozo’s ask how fast is it.

How you guys can boat it the hot Arizona summers without shade is a mystery to me. But what do I know?

For those of you that follow my posts and generally like me………. I am sorry.

It’s time to take a break. I might be back, I might not. I really don’t know. I’ve stopped caring.

I will share this nugget…….. After several years of relentless harassment by a neighbor, I just filed a lawsuit. So don’t envy my situation. I am considering selling everything and moving on because of the never ending harassment. It’s because I own 2 docks instead of 1. Jealousy. Which I am no stranger too.

Again……… I should have done this when I got back from Australia. I am sure those that don’t like me will be sure to let you all know in this thread. I fully expect the trolls to come out from under the bridge? Either way, I won’t see it. I am logging off now.

I wish you all the best!
C-ya thank you for the great post and good information you have provided I my self have enjoyed all of your wisdom you provided. I really hope you change your mind and share with us more.

-Thin skin bruises easily.

I get on here when I have time to burn. If someone disagrees or wants to argue I could care less.

I've met a few nice guys here and consider that a W.
