I don't know.. I don't work for Budweiser.. But I'm not a sheep and am gonna go crucify a mostly conservative company that employee 1,000's and 1,000's of people because there was a couple idiots employed there.

RD

Yea I get it, but I'll ask again. Why hasn't the CEO said any of what your distributors said?

Until then, they are compliant IMO. They're getting crushed, you would think they would have said something day one.................if they were truly conservative.

They're either afraid of the mob Dave or compliant and F them for that alone.

I'm happy to pay for all the beer for my events.. That said pretty much every boating event historically has had large beer sponsorship by Romer. The Marine association would not even exist if it weren't for the beer sales at the boat show. etc..

As everyone knows I'm a coors light drinker... Go call the coors distributorship, they won't even call you back out here.

RD
Just busting your balls. While I don't really care about all the behind the scenes bullshit, the fact that it got to the level it has speaks volumes about the amount of complacency and catering to this craziness in cooperate America. I work for a huge company that pumps this inclusivity training any chance they get, and I am amazed that people just sit back and say nothing. Glad that something is finally sparking some fire in people.

Go look up what Trump Jr. said about all this..

RD
Well ok but what Trump jr said was stupid too. They were not exactly line workers that got fired. It was VP of the company and if you think that was a one person decision to run that campaign you know better . I myself am not gonna be a bootlicker just for money although I know that's how the world turns and I am on the lower end of things but I guess I just have too much pride. I understand your position in life and it's none of my business but I refuse to operate like that. Like I said that's why I don't have shit but I can live with that. I got everything the hard way and I know a lot of people are not willing to do that .

Many of the distributors have come out and said it. There's several videos online about it.. Unfortunately they don't get the traction of some tranny in a bathtub.

The vast majority of the company and affiliates (which is what distributors would be) were not and are not in support of this.

I'm probably a little more sensitive to it, because the guy that owns the distributor out here is not only a friend of mine.. But has literally done more for the boating community THAN ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES COMBINED.

He's conservative as all get out and now he gets to take it up the ass because a bunch of people are parroting something that isn't even 100% accurate?

Im sure there’s a board room full of people crunching numbers on both sides of this.

I wonder how many of their larger purchasers (bars restaurants etc) would back out if they renounced the trans movement?

Or put another way how many Joe six packs equals one chain restaurant.

Companies need to stay the fuck out of politics and social movements. Make and sell your product.

It was two people.. And it wasn't a CAMPAIGN. They printed a can and sent it to Dylan Mulvaney.. They literally print thousands of these things for a variety of reasons throughout the year. When baseball athletes pass a milestone they get sent a can or a case..

Shit they'd send me one for some random accomplishment in biz if I was out being some influencer guy.

Maybe I'll have some Supercat ones ran up.. This was the work of two people, and nobody would have gave two shits if it didn't go viral. Coors (my beer) and pretty much all of them support this shit on some level.

As far as people losing their jobs.. It's very real. The loss in sales is very real as well, both locally here and nationally.

Pretty much any tech company would be liberal/socialist. I assume you have a phone and use a computer?

Damn you already ruined my bet. You can add what internet plan are you on? What car do you drive? What Television do you have etc.. It goes on forever. At some point whether any of us like it or not we have inadvertently supported these whackos.

Again, I get it. Until the company PUBLICLY denounces it, I would recommend that distributor and others band together and put pressure on corporate. THEY are the clowns that screwed your boys.

Are you giving that shit away free for Desert Storm?

Anyhow guys we are setting up for what would normally be the busiest week of the year for us with Desert Storm.. and now we have taken on SuperCat Fest West as well, which is a fucking monster and a ton of work. I'd love to sit here and talk about all this, but I gotta get back to work on DS and SCFW.

I'd like for everyone to remember though if you have been to a boatshow out here it's literally because of the AB distributor.. If you have been to Desert Storm, the beer distributor is a large reason why.. If you attend SuperCat same company..

If you remember those custom neon beer signs we used to give away for best threads.. I can go on and on and on..

Romer does a shit ton for the boat community out here. I was over there this morning and just seeing the employees etc.. Believe me they are furious about what happened, and are getting hammered through no fault of their own.. Shit it doesn't even represent the product in anyway. Just two dip shits and a can..

If that's all it takes to dismantle a brand and an empire, than there's something seriously wrong with our movement.. That means we are sheep just like the left, and will follow the trend, instead of thinking for ourselves.

They have put pressure on corporate which I've already wrote.. You didn't take the time to read it, but for the second time they publicly called for anyone involved to be fired.. It wasn't just them it was several distributors that did that.

No I'm not giving it away for free at DS.

I can tell you though if you are planning on buying beer at DS it is gonna be AB / Romer. He is the only one that supports these events! (which I also said earlier.)

I get your excited because it's a cross topic that lets ya out of the dungeon for a minute.. but seriously this whole thing is a bit much for one tranny, one can, and two employees.. 6 billion dollars seems excessive.

I was down talking to the AB distributor today (which more on that later)..

Guys they printed one can or one case (can't remember) and sent it to this person. It was done by a low level marketing person that deals with influencers including the LGQT+ whatever community. That person has been fired. The chick that was the vp has resigned.. She was gonna be shit canned already because of that interview she did previously to this all coming public..

I can't help but wonder if one can of beer is worth all this.

DJ
The most expensive case of beer they have ever given away.

I agree with all of it except for the last sentence.

This is not a trend, it's a movement and FUCK the ESG Investment Fund scumbags and their money taking corporations who don't have the balls to denounce the movement and only care about profits.

The beatings will continue unfortunately for AB.

I work for AMD so yes I get that. They leave me be to do tech shit and I'm not being force fed any of the other bs but yes, it is there. Difference is I can ignore it and they didn't do what AB did. I said a long time ago, I'm not interested in wearing animal fur and living in a cave. This is not the same thing as being 100% conservative in principle.

Don Jr is wrong. I am ultra dark maga, or that is what I was called last year at the NRA national convention, but I don't suck the Trump tit either.

What AB did is and will always be unforgivable.

This campaign, promotion, whatever it is, be it a 6 pack, case or whatever went public at the WORST time, no way corp didn't know about it.
They doubled down on it.
The CEO did a non-apology statement that chatGTP could have written better.
They STILL haven't properly addressed it, why? Because it would hurt their alphabet score.

There is no argument anyone can make to me about the current movement towards allowing child mutilation that will get me to change my mind.

Hey Dave,
Thanks for this.
I call on 55 beer wholesalers in 4 states and Romer, from the owner and GM, all the way through the company, is one of the best executing and most involved in local events as much or more of any distributor I call on.
Great Company!👍

So far, HITC has debunked rumors that have claimed that Budweiser fired its entire marketing team, CEO Augustus Anheuser Busch III resigned, and another alleging the beer company lost $800 million as their stock plunged in the wake of protests against the brand.

However, almost all of them are public stunts by conservative sites to ridicule the beer brand further, while its representatives or spokesperson continue to defend their decision of featuring Dylan in the much-talked-about campaign.

I think a lot of the posters on this thread are looking waaaay more into this than it really is , and have waaay too much time on their hands… Honestly that kinda sums up RDP in general lol

Latest figures are $8 billion in lost revenue in barely over a week.
This board does not represent $8 billion in BL sales.
I’d say it extends far beyond the bored membership of RDP that have nothing better to do?

Unfortunately they don't get the traction of some tranny in a bathtub.
You answered your own question here Dave.

That is why everyone is pissed. People don’t want this stuff normalized. Yes this is beer, but does my kid really need to see 2 dudes making out on a deodorant commercial? Why do they have to be making out?

This is all to normalize behavior and force everyone to accept it. This is why it is more than a can and a couple low level people in marketing. Because it is not just a can and low level people in marketing.

People are pissed because it is disruptive to our societal norms and is being forced down our throats. People are pissed because tolerance is no longer good enough. This movement seeks you to accept and proactively promote it, or be labeled a phobe, an ist, or a bigot.

I was just in Wal-Mart 30 mins ago. They were cleaned out of cheap beer. But there were nearly untouched piles of Bud and Bud Light in the beer aisle.

Beer or some other product is not the hill I’m going to die on. I don’t care to participate in some stupid purity test. The response to this got more publicity than the publicity stunt did in the first place.

This is simply an extension of cancel culture. Yes this may affect some people negatively that did not want to be swept up in this at all and do not believe in the cause or the campaign. It is the little guys that get hurt in war. It sucks but those are the casualties of war. And we are in a culture war.

RD isn’t Chip Romer a huge boating enthusiast?
With several boats in his stable?

Wouldn’t that reason enough for all his sponsorships in the boating community?

I'm not sure how that makes sense?? Are you a boating enthusiasts? Are you handing out your profits to support local boating events and organizations?

I haven't changed at all.. LOL. I'm just a little more informed as to what the local distributor does for boating vs literally everyone else.

We wouldn't have most any of the boating events that we have if it was not for them. The local distributor (which is a large one) and most the others immediately called for that VP to be fired. Not only do they contribute to the boating community they also stand (financially) for what most this board would.. Ironically enough AB donates more to conservative causes than anyone else as well.

This was 2 people that no longer work for a company and a can. You realize most assembly lines roll off 1 million cans per hour..

I have a bunch of people that work for me.. If one does something like this do we crucify RDP and me?

RD
Now do you understand what the internet does?
What the potential (good and bad) is when 8 billon people are involved?
There are more devices than people in this country and the globe.
The mob doesn’t care about boating events, or beer sponsorship dollars. They only care about venting their anger and standing up against what they consider wrongs.
Once you piss off the majority of your base on line, honey baby, it’s hard to come back from that.
Be it beer companies, food joints…or even boat sites.

Go look up what Trump Jr. said about all this..

RD
No one cares what Jr says unless it’s pro Donald.

There are more cell phones in India than the population of the US. We aren't as big as we think but have a pretty huge impact. We need to do better than we are right now.

Cancel Culture is not a leftist ideology, there have always been boycotts, strikes, sit ins, protests, whatever. Technology has played a huge role, however the tactics used by the left are different than the right.

No one is threatening to blow up the InBev headquarters. No one is stalking the executives at their homes, No one is accosting them in restaurants.

Some would be happy if the marketing people lost their jobs, yes.

The conservative approach to cancel culture is to hit them right where it hurts… their pockets. They picked the wrong product with the wrong demographic to screw with.

It’s unfortunate.
But that’s what happens these days.
One extremely bad marketing decision, based in leftist bias by an Ivy League woke female who was a woke hire to start with caused this.
Not me, not the mob, not the distributors.
It was a series of bad decisions that led up to her being in a position to make that bad decision.
That is ALL on corporate. She didn’t accidentally get assigned to that position.
