My oldest daughter got an iPhone for Christmas. She takes very good care of everything she has (she treats everything as if he saved and bought them with her own money)
Today after school, she was texting and her friend were horsing around off to the side. One of them fell into my daughter knocking her phone out of her hand and shattered the screen...even with the case. She was very upset.
I found out the insurance deductible through Verizon is $175. I have 2 questions:
1) I have been told that sometimes the Apple Store will replace the screen for free (one time only). Does anyone have any experience with that?
2) I have always told my daughter that if she breaks it, she will have to pay to get it repaired, exchanged, or whatever. This wasn't her fault, but at the same time I don't want her to grow up thinking all she has to do is run to Mom & Dad with tears in her eyes to get us to bail her out her whole life. What are your opinions / ideas?
Thanks in Advance!!
