PWCs and Rollbar boats have a common denominator....most people that drive them are clueless and dangerous and they don't even know it.

Or the guys in 40 footers pretending they're in PWC's while ejecting and killing their passengers?

The only denominator you speak of have nothing to do with said watercrafts. It's the clueless captain. Sadly, there's no merit in which type of watercraft they own. They have a bank account and money to burn. The vessel and passengers are just the bystander.

Theres a time and place for everything, I've driven small cats to a hundy and I own 3 jetskis as well as 3 boats . When there are no boats around I'll jump on the xp and go nuts for a bit . If I see a boat I head for shore. In my boat that tops out at at 70ish, all I'm doing if there is traffic is making sure I don't get surprised.
Is this not what every operator should be concentrating on...

for those calling for size and or speed limits......these limits will not only apply to the Skaters MTI's etc....they will apply to all of us. The government can't legislate common sense.

Except no one here has done that.

Does your boat handle better the faster it goes? If you have 80 hours on your boat already.. you are probably have a considerable amount of knowledge given your other experience.

Given that experience, I'd be interested in your thoughts with regards to the handling of that type of boat.

I have owned, 19 foot daytona, 21 foot daytona, 24 HTM and now a 29 foot F29 DCB....All of these boats do the same thing, the faster you go the less they want
to turn. As almost in any boat the faster you go you don't really want to turn the boat hard, same as a car. can you turn your car at freeway speeds. Also in a boat
you have the trim that factors in at high speeds, the faster you go the less boat in the water. I dont think any boat is designed to turn sharp at high speeds except a flatbottom
on smooth water , which i have done many times

Also on a normal week at Havasu, Monday thru thursday, only about 1% of the boats can run over 100MPH, On the weekends maybe 8%, These figures are not
for Holidays or special event weekends.

im about to pipe off soon. RD's place has too much drama BS lately. Simple threads go sideways for absolutely no reason. 3 experienced boaters wearing life jackets had a accident, they lived. For fuck sakes we should be celebrating.

Hasn't the internet become a wonderful place. :grumble:

Maybe everyone that is bitchin should go to a different lake that already has those rules in place, speed limits and length limits. There's plenty of lakes that already have them out there. Just a thought... :D
Go to Lake Castaic if you want some fucked up boating rules. Lol.
Typical Liberal California boating right there. To make you feel safe the state has life guards on duty to. Lmao.

Exactly. There is no reason to react to every incident with new legislation.
There's not many accidents at all especially when you consistently all the boating up and down the river from Blythe to lake Powell. Very minimal. And the last thing you want is more politics getting involved and passing stupid laws.
