Broke out the Blackstone from hibernation and tried something new to us and easy as hell to make. It came out better than I expected but beware I almost cooked this inside in my cast iron pans but kinda glad I didn't because the smells are really good but strong enough to make yore house smell for a few days.

Zatarans Blackened Seasoning on boneless skinless chicken thighs. It says rub em down with butter first but I was out and said fuck it
Super hot iron griddle and cooked each side about 8ish minutes while using a spatula to smash em on the grill. An iron press thingy would have been ideal planning on picking one up.

Momma made some penne pasta mixed with some Prego Roasted garlic parmesan alfredo sauce. She adds some extra flavors to the sauce like cracked pepper, heavy cream, flaky parm cheese n whatever

Smash it all together in a bowl sprinkle some flaky parm. cheese n some green shit that I dunno what it is honestly and make what I call dirty pasta. The chicken wasn't near as spicy as I was expecting and can tell it will be better next time we make this using butter and more seasoning. The flavors are honestly better than I expected for a 30 minute meal we are definitely making this shit again.

Got Blackstone Griddle #2 today - this one’s for the Fifth wheel - psyched to have it. Was challenging to find it in stock as they fly off the shelves at Walmart.

Great deal - 22” with cover, great stand and the propane tank hose too. Word is don’t risk shipping it - go pick it up at the store

Nice. That is the definitely the better and more versatile of the 22s. Now you need this:

and this if you have an RV with decent flowing quick disconnects:

I want to go with a quick disconnect hose from my LPG tank to my Blackstone. To do that I need a new fitting - I think this is it?

It'll connect to the Propane Tank and provides a quick disconnect and it has a screw-on fitting for the connection to the Trailer. Plus it has an extra port (blue cap).

If you get that, you would still need a pressure regulator for the Blackstone. Most of the time the quick disconnects are put after the pressure regulator.

Thanks! In your previous post you linked to a quick connect hose kit on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088KC87MD so the pressure regulator would need to be after that (hose with quick connects).

For an RV/trailer tank there needs to be a Y/splitter at the tank to allow for another connection whether it's a screw-on or a quick disconnect. The pressure regulator needs to be after that and before the Blackstone Griddle.

At this point having quick connects may not be any quicker or better than screwing on the Griddle hose to the tanks Y splitter (a more simple product than the one I posted above). The quick connect hose adds more parts and the "splitter" above is more expensive than a simple Y splitter.

Thanks again for posting this - you were right.

I have a quick disconnect on my trailer with the female quick disconnect and valve. So the hose and fittings you recommended were the ones I needed.

Anyone have an issue with the top warping? I don't know what the hell happened to mine, but I used it Saturday, tossed the meat on and the dam top is rocking over a 1/4". Pissed me off something crazy lol. I have never had a problem and i've never just heated one side or anything like that.

Love my blackstone, but the lid, controls and face of it is rusting through the paint. I keep it clean and covered. Just cheap quality paint I guess

I have already repainted my lid. It was all faded after being uncovered for a few weeks last Summer.

Fajita night!
Complete fail! I cheated and got the premade/marinaded shit from staters. Cooked up decent and definitely was not overcooked but then went to dig in and the chicken was rubbery. Sucks because the marinade was good on the veggies.

Turned into quesadillas, beans and rice lol.

I bought one last Jan in Sarasota. Cooked on it a few times, cleaned it and oiled it. Was about 2 weeks before I used it again. Took the cover off and it was rusted. Figured ok I must not have used enough oil. Cleaned it all up and seasoned it again. Used it once and put a bunch of oil on it. Again didn't use it for a few weeks. Went to put it away for the summer and it was rusted again. Cleaned it again, seasoned it again. Oiled it and put plastic wrap over the whole thing. Put it away for the summer in an air conditioned place. If that fucking thing is rusted when I get back in Oct I am throwing it in the trash. Just not worth it. Grilling is much easier.

This seasoning has taken my burger game to the next level. We still prefer using charcoal for most meats but it made some good smash burgers on the Blackstone too. Went thru 32 1/3lb. Costco burgers this weekend nobody wanted anything else lol.

Ok I picked up the electric 17inch tabletop Blackstone one to use in my trailer. $117 at Walmart. I haven’t used it yet, but the build quality seems good.

This one has a coated aluminum non stick griddle, so you just have to use plastic or silicone tools. It uses 1500 watts, so a 2000 watt generator should be able to run it just fine.

Well I finally joined the griddle gang thanks to wife and kid for the fathers day present. I wanted this specific one, because I didn't want to commit to big one, because the honest truth is, they just seem like too much work to me...LOL...but I was convinced that once I cook on this, I wont want to go back to my regular grill....I was looking forward to using it for fathers day, but of course one of the legs on the stand was broken, Tractor Supply wouldn't take it back because they said it was a manufacturing issue and I need to have it warrantied...so now I am waiting for Blackstone to tell me what to do with it...until then I don't want to use it, incase they say I need to return it.

That video must be fake news, because according to everything I've read, you have to season it with Black Rhino fat about 15-20 times before your first use, and every 2-3 days after that, and if you mess it up, you have to use a gorilla paw to scrub it clean and start over again...o_O:confused:

I just got a 36” too. Made breakfast, tacos with beef chicken and al pastor, hibachi chicken, beef, shrimp and fried rice.

Up next fajitas.

I figured out the chicken. Sauté them and poke them till they are firm but not too stiff which is rubbery

We do it the Benihana way. Egg, carrot, onion, chicken.

Sesame oil. Soy sauce & garlic butter. Lots of garlic.

I sauté it with the soy. Mix the garlic in the butter and add that at the end

Comes out great on the blackstone.

What I like about the blackstone is how fast it cooks. I made big dishes quickly. Especially breakfast.

I bought mine for the lake house but have been learning how to cook at my primary residence. This thing is so good I may have to buy one for my primary too.

Bacon fried rice - Came out really good. Bowl was like 2/3 full when I pulled it off the Blackstone. First time I did it, the rice texture and consistency came out great.

2 cups rice (6 prepared) let it dry on a baking sheet with a fan on it for an hour
3 eggs
1 lb bacon
1 onion chopped
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1.5 cups frozen peas/carrots
Soy sauce
Salt/pepper
Sesame seeds
Garlic butter
light drizzle of toasted sesame oil

I forgot the green onion, I’d throw one or two of those chopped up in to the mix next time.

Ok guys. Got my Blackstone and followed seasoning instructions.

2nd cook on it last night and used avocado oil with terriyaki chicken thighs, tossed in terriyaki sauce.

Did the cleaning method as suggested and grill looks like this. Normal??

it's fine, keep cooking, it will season more as you cook. A lot of blackstone users compare the looks of their griddle (cast iron) to the commercial griddles in restaurants. the commercial griddles are stainless thus A LOT smoother looking.

I finally got mine put together. We had a long camping trip the weekend after Father’s Day. Got it seasoned up tonight and cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast tomorrow. 4 day weekend, planning on using this thing everyday.

I would do a couple rounds of seasoning . Before cooking any thing else. How many times did you season it? I did 5 with the Blackstone seasoning

That doesn’t look right at all. Mine is solid black with no discoloration in the center.

Oil is your friend. So is bacon. The more bacon you cook on it, the better it gets.
