I know that they are designed for this but holy crap I worry about the babies getting wet so young with just down feathers at this point. They survive in Alaska in these conditions and this is the time of year that they hatch and not Spring so God's design...hopefully it all works out a d the 3rd egg hatches!

Yep, was just reading on that. Makes it real tough for mama to keep them all warm and sheltered as they grow. Fingers crossed for all 3!
Only the strong survive, gonna be a real struggle for the youngest.

They seem to give those eagles names. I think they should call the 3rd chick that just hatched, “breakfast, lunch or dinner”. Those 2 older chicks are likely to be brutal on that new one.

9:54 only 2 eaglets could be seen feeding. They looked OK. At 11:40 when the female attempted to feed them, they didn’t pop up and try to grab the food. Saw the head of only 1 of them raise up. Although, saw movement in both of them. Female stopped trying to feed and settled over top of them.

I have no proof, but because of size and personality, I believe you are watching chicks #2 and #3. Chick one was extremely aggressive and would even bite Jackie, the two left are much less aggressive.

Watchers are stating that they MAY have seen body of the 3rd chick on the right side of the nest well. I went back in the feed to anywhere they were feeding, and found only two are popping up to eat, over the past day or so.

I watched a dozen different feedings over the last week and many times it seemed the parent was very deliberately feeding one baby much more than the other(s). Saw it happening before #3 hatched even.
It also really did look like #3 got stepped on and injured by one of the adults.
