That's pretty damn sexy! There are certain cars you see in pics, and you can hear the cam, and smell the exhaustI ran straight AV gas for years, never added anything to it and never had any problems, plus is has a 2-3 year shelf life.
If it's sold at a pump in California without having to fill out paperwork, it most likely has Ethanol.Dude, you're in San Diego....Go to Dion and Son's in Lakeside. I get F&L 110 for $8/gallon out of the pump. It's good stuff! Tons of drag racing buddy's use it without issue. I have used it in all my boats and my son's motocross bikes.
Cable Field in Upland is where I used to fill...your rig may draw a bit more attention thoughI’m hoping I can get on the airports around her to put straight AV gas in.

20 years ago Bracket would let me fill cans. 12 years ago Cable let me pull right up to the pumps...it was beautiful!I tried to get our DCB into our local airport (SoCal) 20 years ago and they would not let me. They would not even let me fill up cans.
I tried to explain to them that there was nothing illegal with filling a boat with AV but they would not listen.20 years ago Bracket would let me fill cans. 12 years ago Cable let me pull right up to the pumps...it was beautiful!
They were simpler times, better times. I think I only paid 4.00$ a gallon.
it’s nothing about the octane I worry about. It’s the consistency. I see on Facebook people complaining about water in their fuel after filling up. All I’m trying to avoid.Call and ask for Bob at Teague or just call AJ at Barrett and get his advice. But i doubt AV will come out of either of their mouths for the 800. Non ethanol 91/92 is great but even still during the season the tuner from ProCharger suggests i use 91 with ethanol, says why pass up free hp with the corn but not to store with 91e
Well then for consistency buy it from pumps and places that sell 91 non ethanol, and sell a lot of it. Parker Oil is one in Parker, plenty of other places in LHC.it’s nothing about the octane I worry about. It’s the consistency. Last time I did it was towing a jet bote and had a bunch of dump cansYou still can! I fill a truck load full of cans twice a year and occasionally pull the car up. Looks like River Dirt 2 does the same.
I put it all on White Works's tab.

Hemi Dart...badass.I ran straight AV gas for years, never added anything to it and never had any problems, plus is has a 2-3 year shelf life.
I checked at Dion $ Son's this morning. F&L 110 is currently $9.99 a gallon at the pump and she said it was around $10.50 per gallon in the 5 gallon pail.Dude, you're in San Diego....Go to Dion and Son's in Lakeside. Fuck ya bro. Can’t wait to hear how the family likes it.Woke up feeling American as fuck today. V8, boost and race fuel. View attachment 1394472
I used to get it at Santa Paula no problems. 3-4 years ago. Not sure lately I have been getting at Parker Airport.I’ve been told I can probably get on to Oxnard airport or Santa Paula. I don’t think Camarillo will allow it anymore.
Yeah, that’s bad ass. Nothing better than the sound of a loud blown motor coupled with the unmistakable scent of AV gas!Woke up feeling American as fuck today. V8, boost and race fuel. View attachment 1394472

The current price of 100 LL AV Gas at Santa Paula (SZP) is $5.15 a gallon.Yeah, I heard SP is probably my best bet. And I heard it’s like $6.75 a gallon right now.
I really wonder if it’s actually bad fuel most of the time on those posts. There is always a line at Campbell’s Cove and they must go through thousands of gallons a week but people still say they got bad gas there. Out of the hundreds of people there on any weekend how did only 1 guy get bad gas? I feel like there would be 20+ boats affected by a bad batch.it’s nothing about the octane I worry about. Great looking boat by the way!!
I never fuelmat havasu so not sure about over there. We stay at Parker and had problems before. Rather not chance it.I really wonder if it’s actually bad fuel most of the time on those posts. Well Parker oil is another high volume retailer of the 91NE and 100, and they are receiving specialty fuels so quality should be higher not lower.I never fuelmat havasu so not sure about over there. We stay at Parker and had problems before. Rather not chance it.
The water separator can only separate a few onces, after that it's all getting through.Shouldn't any boat with a hi $$, hi power engine run a fuel/water separator on it to help prevent issues from fueling on the water etc.?
Solid point....a case where bigger (filter) is better. An ounce of prevention though much better..The water separator can only separate a few onces, after that it's all getting through.
Oh, I must get a deal. I can give you my account to save you so $$$I checked at Dion $ Son's this morning. F&L 110 is currently $9.99 a gallon at the pump and she said it was around $10.50 per gallon in the 5 gallon pail.
I plan on mixing it with non ethanol 89 from the Circle K in Yuma.
I have to fill out paperwork every year for my account. It is what it is when living in Kommifornia. If it's sold at a pump in California without having to fill out paperwork, it most likely has Ethanol.

There’s 100 octane off of Chesebro at that independent station across from the north side Chevron. I think the 76 only sells in 5 gallon jugs now.Yeah, I heard SP is probably my best bet. And I heard it’s like $6.75 a gallon right now.
That is a huge deal. Looks like the cash price is the sucker price.Oh, I must get a deal. I can give you my account to save you so $$$
Is it specifically for the race gas? I was getting both F&L and Sunoco race fuel at OCHS oil in Vista from the pump and the owner informed me that it contained ethanol. When I have bought non-ethanol race fuel in California, I have had to fill out paperwork for the state every time I bought fuel. You have to state on the paperwork what vehicle the fuel is being used in and what event it is being used at. It's a PITA.I have to fill out paperwork every year for my account. I was at Camarillo airport yesteday, saw a bad ass '55 gasser driving past hangers inside the airport.I’m hoping I can get on the airports around her to put straight AV gas in.
Sounds like i just need to plan a trip to Cable airport every once in a while, and set up an at-home fuel station for the spicy toysYou still can! I fill a truck load full of cans twice a year and occasionally pull the car up. Looks like River Dirt 2 does the same.

Check out Santa Paula airport Tank. I used to buy it there all the time with no issues right out of the pump. Been a few years but was always pretty painless.I’m hoping I can get on the airports around her to put straight AV gas in.

It's been almost 20 years ago that we took a friend's mom for a ride in our '67 Howard. I ran 105 race fuel in the 427 FE engine, it still had all the stock internals, standard bore, and 11.5:1 CR.Aj ran our boat on the hose yesterday. I was out strapping the boat down just now for the haul home and I could smell that sweet race fuel odor as I’m at the transom. Stuck my face up the exhaustion and took a big whif. Fuckin love that shit!!

My father is 84. He still calls Chevron gas stations Standard stations and 91 gas “high test”. Just an environment they grew up with I guess. It's been almost 20 years ago that we took a friend's mom for a ride in our '67 Howard. Her mom looked to be around 60. She climbed in back, and someone pushed us off the dock. I fired the engine and idled away, and mom smacked me on the back and excitedly said "You're running leaded race gas, aren't you?" That was surprising.
It turned out mom had a racing background and had also been a Harley owner earlier in life. It was pretty funny.
I can't recall the exact number, but I'm pretty sure in the 70s, Chevron premium was over 100 R+M octane. So was Sunoco premium. My father is 84. He still calls Chevron gas stations Standard stations and 91 gas “high test”. Just an environment they grew up with I guess.
I can’t think of anything I’ve grown up with that I do that with though.
IMO its already in the boats tanks and they just discovered it thinking it was the gas station fault.I really wonder if it’s actually bad fuel most of the time on those posts.
