Im sort of surprised that no one started a thread about that game, it was a barn burner for sure, Ive not seen that kind of "hate you " before and it was apparent in that game BIG TIME. There were penalties galore along with some inspired football for sure, but they obviously dont like each other very much, it was a dirty game but I have to admit exciting

Great game, I have to admit I never liked Prime Time's antics as a player but have enjoyed watching Colorado's transformation under his lead. Curious how they will fair versus Oregon.

Great, entertaining game. A little bummed on the outcome, but they perservered and won.
I did get a lot tired of the one sided announcers consistently pointing out what UC needed to do and CSU's weekness's.
And then they actually chart it on the screen, CSU's weekness and low a behold, UC capitalizes on it.

There was some trash talking during the week that fired the Buffs up. Gotta credit Deion for bringing in some talent and motivating his team to play hard every week. Also need to give credit to CSU and the coach for showing up and making it an interesting game when no one thought it would be!

Me thinks they won't be able to score at the same pace

At least 16 personal foul penalties against State, one ejection for targeting and sent CU’s #1 player to the hospital in the 1st half on a very cheap hit.
That’s a bit more than a spirted crosstown rivalry game.

Exactly, and when States coach was asked about it he blamed the ref's for it.🤦

They’re gonna get smoked and Deion will be back on Pac 12 after dark.
Can’t wait. So annoying hearing about a team all week that was playing an unranked opponent because their coach talks and talks and talks. So overrated.

Sanders seems to have a good message to his kids, and he was a great player, but this team needs to prove themselves before they get this kind of coverage.

He may yap a bit much but he’s trying to motivate his team, the media is who created the shitstorm and put a target on those kids backs.
State coach said as much to ESPN when interviewed. ESPN could not find Colorado State on a map before Deion…

Oh yea, Skooo Buff’s 😁

Maybe you liked their old coach better?

I feel about the same as Pat Mcafee. I’m drinking the kool aid. Coach Prime has been a legend since his appearance at the college combine. It’s probably one of the reasons they decided to televise the combine after that. I think he deserves all the attention he is getting for what he has done for that program. I also think he really truly cares about his kids playing for him.

Great game. My daughters and money went to CSU. Oldest daughter works there.

Coach Prime is what CU (ugh. . Boulder CO) has been needing since coach McCartney left.

Good game and congrats to Coach Prime. One hell of a game.

It would be nice to see these "All-star" athletes at least try to "Look the part" when they step in front of the cameras after the game. His kid looked like every other wannabe rap artist dipshit straight out of South Central L.A. Fucking lame with his stupid glasses, muscle shirt and flashy watch. Give me a break. At least have the decency to put on a shirt and tie and represent your team, your school and your family in a respectful way. 👎👎👎

It’s a pretty exciting time to be in Colorado. Nobody is even talking about the Broncos right now, it’s all CU all the time. I’ve been here since 98, this is the first time CU has been relevant since I got here, it’s a nice change.

I think Oregon and USC are going to smoke CU. It’s important to keep in mind that this team only won one game last year. They were only expected to win 3 or 4 games this year, it’s looking like thats not accurate and they’ll likely win 6 or 7 games.

If the oldest Sanders stays on one more year this team could be a monster next season. Prime is the best recruiter in the business right now and he’ll have the pick of the litter next season.

They aren’t paying him to represent the school, the school is using him to make exponential amounts of money.

Let the athletes build their brands and bring in eyeballs as they see fit.

College, come for the education, stay for the multi million dollar football coach that is there for publicity. What is the over under on how many seasons he stays? I'm guessing under 5.

Who loses out?

Seems to be a win for the university, players, local economy, alumni, everyone.

Looking the part is much different now. Part of the reason Deion does so well is he lets the players be who they are and not conform to society's "norms".

CU Athletics has received more in alumni donations and sponsorships since Coach Prime signed, then the past 10 years combined. College football is all amount $$, and coach prime is proving his worth.

In reality I'm not sure anyone "loses out", my point was more that college football is a semi professional business more than student athletes anymore.

It’s hard to say how long he’s going to be here. There are a lot of people who believe he will stop coaching when his sons are done playing.

Coaching is very hard on Sanders. He recently had a couple toes amputated and may end up losing his entire foot. It’s extremely challenging for him to stand through an entire game and apparently he immediately ices his foot at half time and after the game.

I was living in Colorado around 1990 and that was when Eric Bienemy was playing for the Buffies. They were pretty good then as well, iirc.

He speaks about all the right things for me just doesnt say it the way i want to hear it....I hope he is super successful and bring CU back to life....From what I have read they wont have an issue recruiting after this year.

Shedeur is a punk.

I was onboard with Colorado's turn around story and even the fun shit talking. Made for some exciting games. I'm not sure if it's for show but they always have some altercation before the game with other team's players. Common denominator in those 3 pregame altercations... Colorado.

After they beat CSU by one score in OT, where they should've won by 30, Shedeur stood next to his dad and tried to stand between Deion and the CSU head coach for the post game niceties. Almost as if he thought he should be part of that conversation or wanted to stop the conversation. Then he did his dumbass watch celebration thing right in the CSU coach's face. It really showed the immaturity of Shedeur. He'll get cracked the next two weeks and be put in his place.

Has he ever lost in his college career? That would really explain the Deion type behavior at 21 years old.

As for Travis Hunter getting hurt. Yup, cheap shot, late hit, and targeting. But definitely teaches you to watch how much shit you talk when you're 185 soaking wet (probably 170). Guys will have you on their list to crack every play.

When CSU pressured him he was a disaster and got sacked repeatedly. Oregon and SC are gonna be wayyyyy more physical and talented than Colorado State was. We'll see how his watch works after the big boys these next few weeks. I see them getting wrecked by Oregon and SC.

College football is all about recruiting. Deion is beating everyone in that area. He has embraced NIL and will bring tons of new NIL opportunities in the future for his players. I wouldn't bet against him.

Hunter needs to put on some weight ASAP. That frame won't survive. And I agree, all the shit talking got Hunter a ride to the hospital.

I may be wrong but the sheer size of the Oregon and SC players might be a huge issue for Colorado.

SC has only 3 of their about 17 rostered offensive linemen that are under 300

CSU had some pretty big linemen as well. They moved well too.

Prime needs to get the shit talking his players are doing under control.

Show everyone how good you are on the field and keep your mouth closed!

CSU need the same education.

Coach Olson always would tell us. Talk with your play, not your mouth!

All this talk about Oregon and SC putting CU in their place. Has everyone already forgot CU played TCU, last year’s Championship runner up, and Nebraska, who may not be top ranked but always field some huge line players?

I’ll be watching. May go to the SC game if CU keeps it interesting.

TCU shouldn’t have been in the title game last year. They got lucky, Michigan blew the game more than TCU beating them. Additionally, they only had three returning starters on offense. I give credit to Colorado for coming to play, Sanders kid looked all world out there but until they play Oregon and USC I will hold judgment on how good they really are.

Nebraska is sub par with a 1st year coach with the program at the helm. Obviously Deion is in his 1st year as well, but nobody has film on the new Buffs and he did an amazing job utilizing the transfer portal and NIL. He’s the new era of D1 coaching now that they are paying kids. Nobody is going to be able to compete with “Primetime” and the show that comes with him.

In my opinion CSU had two games to study and prepare for their tendencies. They put the pressure on Colorado and I don’t think it was a fluke. And we are talking Colorado St. not Alabama. Lol

The next 4-5 pac 12 games are going to show us how good they really are…

Here is my prediction for them-

Oregon- Loss
USC- Loss
Arizona St.- Win
Stanford- Win
UCLA- Loss
Oregon St. - Loss
Arizona - Win
Washington St.- Loss
Utah- Loss

NIL has completely transformed College football and not for the better. Change needed to happen but the current system wasn’t the answer. Deion is taking advantage of that and it’s showing.

When the talent is equal on the field, coaching is what wins the game. I’ll be curious how they do against SEC caliber teams…
