High School football players don't go pro...It's not an option.

In 2022, D1 athletes are graduating at 90% vs 82% in 2012. How again is the NIL rule hurting college sports?

Don't forget the naming rights!
How much of that increase in graduation rate is due to lower testing standards?🤔

What's your thought process on the Arizona schools being left behind? Thinking there will be another realignment in the near future?

Arizona schools (UA, ASU) and joining the Big12. UofA was going even if ASU stayed in the PAC

Things are about to get even crazier in Boulder.

Warren Sapp plans to join Deion next year on the coaching staff. A staff containing Deion Sanders and Warren Sapp is going to be awfully difficult to recruit against, these guys are going to have the pick of the litter.

Initial estimates indicate Sheduer could earn as much as $10M in NIL money if he stays at CU next year. Even as a first round pick in the NFL he won’t make $10M a year on a rookie contract, at this point it’s a pretty safe bet that he’ll play at CU for his senior year.

I’m not sure how long Coach Prime will be at CU but I am sure he’s going to build one hell of a program while he’s here.

As far as the NIL argument goes.. These kids are putting everything on the line every time they go out on that field. Many of them will suffer injuries in college that will prohibit them from going pro, those injuries will plague them for the rest of their lives. All the while Universities are earning boatloads of money and paying coaches 8 figure salaries. Collegiate athletes deserve every single
Dollar they can make with their NIL deals.

Less than 2% of college football players make it to the NFL while the colleges are making insane money off the backs of these kids that are one play away from a career ending injury.

If they do in fact make it to the NFL their average lifespan is 60 years old.

Their bodies are fucked upon retirement from the NFL. CTE injuries and just plain sacrificing your body on every play is havoc on your body.

NIL isn’t and shouldn’t go away…

Most schools take out insurance policies on star players that have a chance at going pro. Insurance is based on forecasted earnings and if taken the players reimburses the school for the deductible IF it pays out.

My neighbor in college and the guy I had to guard when I was on the practice squad (M Simon) had a $10M policy his last year of college when we won the NCAA

They all Play for the "Dream" of Fame and Fortune. They have been receiving a Free Education, Room And Board and so many other Perks that it still comes back to people claiming that they are "Giving It All" while receiving Nothing:rolleyes:

Life is a Gamble, and they could get hurt on the Field or Slipping In The Shower. Go take an "Insurance Policy" out if they are so worried about Injury.

TCU shouldn’t have been in the title game last year. They got lucky, Michigan blew the game more than TCU beating them. Additionally, they only had three returning starters on offense. I give credit to Colorado for coming to play, Sanders kid looked all world out there but until they play Oregon and USC I will hold judgment on how good they really are.

Nebraska is sub par with a 1st year coach with the program at the helm. Obviously Deion is in his 1st year as well, but nobody has film on the new Buffs and he did an amazing job utilizing the transfer portal and NIL. He’s the new era of D1 coaching now that they are paying kids. Nobody is going to be able to compete with “Primetime” and the show that comes with him.

In my opinion CSU had two games to study and prepare for their tendencies. They put the pressure on Colorado and I don’t think it was a fluke. And we are talking Colorado St. not Alabama. Lol

The next 4-5 pac 12 games are going to show us how good they really are…

Here is my prediction for them-

Oregon- Loss
USC- Loss
Arizona St.- Win
Stanford- Win
UCLA- Loss
Oregon St. - Loss
Arizona - Win
Washington St.- Loss
Utah- Loss
I had to update my prediction, that was pretty close. Let's see how they do in Pullman this week.

Oregon- Loss
USC- Loss
Arizona St.- Win
Stanford- Win- LOSS
UCLA- Loss
Oregon St. - Loss
Arizona - Win- LOSS The wildcats are surprisingly good this year.
Washington St.- Loss
Utah- Loss

We (Washington State) have shit the bed almost as big as CU this year. Havent won a GD game since upsetting Oregon State. I think CU tears our heads off, and we deserve it. Then UW can shit down our throats in the Crapple Cup and go on to get embarrassed on the big stage in the CFP.

Ouch! What happened? Your team looked awesome early on. I liked the QB.

UW will probably have to play Oregon again in the PAC 12 championship.

Its called “Coug’in It” . You get used to the disappointment, you just know its coming. I was fortunate to be there in the mid 2000’s when we had a decent squad and won some fun games. Had high hopes after a surprising start this year, but our defense forgot how to play after the Beavs game and Ward just didnt keep up the pace of his early games.

I wish Leach was still alive and coaching your team. He was great to watch.
