Dayum. Plot thickens…from oso

“When the probate after Derek's father finally gets settled I hope Skip gets some money. The Trump Administration gave Derek Wachob and his partner

Gary Bacon Jr. a $18 million agriculture loan guarantee, but not to grow weed on an industrial scale, which they did. I guess the choppers and the smell

eventually got the neighbors pist off and they filed charges. It became a Tenth Circuit RICO Case. That'll take a while. Nucor Corp. was the steel sheet

company that sent Derek $32 million dollars of product that Skip 'invested in', between May and July of 2022. They finally filed charges the other day.

They haven't received a penny, but had done business with Derek's father for decades and though things would work out. Huge weed farm. Choppers.

Fast boats. Is the 1980s back? Will Derek and his RICO partner go to jail and try to get out Ben Kramer style by chopper?”
Is this story tied into the weed guy Tyler TStone Beast guy? I've seen him hocking those Paradyme Storage units in Havasu also. Ive become quite the detective in his story and his past cop life.

I haven’t heard about that guy since the details of why he wasn’t a cop anymore surfaced.

If you read the court documents about the weed farm it says they used the helicopters to hover over the neighbors house to piss them off. 😂

The word on the street is we are getting ready to see one of these deals right here on the west coast.. tons of investment money taken and nothing to show for it..

RD
I have a suspicion of who this is in reference too, I hope that's not the case but time will tell.

Buying all kinds of new shit. He took delivery of new MTI and building some huge estate in Temecula. His chick posts daily
I used to see him rolling his old superduty round town but I don’t know what he drives anymore

New money causes this often times.

Any of my older money wealthy friends are t-shirt and jeans out in public type people.

The new money ones are flashy as hell and social media hogs.

I learn a lot from the old money folks…
Spot on. We have several VERY successful customers. The kind with extra zeros on their calculators. If you met them out and about, you'd have zero idea.

Wow!

Years ago I heard (from a good source) that he went everywhere with a team of bodyguards and had cutouts in the side panels for the boats for AR15s and stuff…makes more sense now.

Chance are they’ll see .10 on the dollar when it’s all over, and everyone is paided.

I’m still waiting for my $5500 check from 1986. 😉

Since they are lawyered up they assume there are assets to go after, no one is gonna chase bad money with good, however a schiester lawyer will lead you down that road😂 these are successful dudes in life, they don’t want to go to prison for the rest of their lives because they chose to do business with a hustler and got hustled. Who knows they may have made millions with this guy in the past and the tide finally went out. 🤷‍♂️

“Upon sale of the steel at Derek Wachob’s sole discretion”

In this instance, the Bravers were lured by the claims of 100% profit.

The price of rolled steel has crashed by ~40% this year.

If one partner wishes to sell and take the loss and the other wishes to hold out for price recovery?

Wachob presumably didn't want to suggest the possibility and risk losing Braver's investment, and Braver presumably didn't want to consider the possibility and risk losing the profit.

If someone steals your dime bag of dope……….. Maybe you break their legs.

If you do the above when you have a clear cut legal case………. Then you are an idiot because your entire legal case just flew out the window or will be complicated by further litigation, since you have given the defendant a cross complaint.

When I legally screw someone over………. My goal is to inflict pain that will last a lifetime! LOL

Legitimately if I see a boat or boating product listed in Florida, I look the other way. It seems like every horror story starts in FL

My previous employer would not allow us to originate any loans in Florida due to all the fuckery that goes on over there. If we did it would have to be syndicated, he would not hold the paper.

Ya they’re in some deep shit. If he is 60 mil in debt he should have that in assets I assume. 2 private jets aren’t cheap 😂😂

Family companies always go to shit when the kids take it over.
Very few last when the founder passes the business on to their kids
In the Auto Dealership world, the father builds a business, the son expands the business, and then the grand kid crashes and burns.
Kids see how much money a business brings in but doesn’t understand how much operating costs are. The kids bleed it dry.

The 3rd gen never saw how much work and sacrifice went into building the empire, they only know the spoils. A grandson told me this theory, he didn't want to follow script.
One business owner has two kids and then the two kids each have three kids and now you have six pigs at the trough trying to pull a bunch of money out of the business while still needing to pay for acquiring the business. Some businesses just get too thin. Six grandkids think they could still live the abundant life of the grandfather but he was only pulling a single paycheck out of it. See it all the time.

This makes me curious as to what the net worth of the two “victims” that ponied up a $11 million for a “sure bet” is? Not that it makes it right, but I was always taught never to invest more than you are willing to lose. It sounds to me like the green eyed monster was let loose.

Yes, I’m an asshole and I’m making assumptions based on information. I know nothing about.🤔

I watched their rise from John's family's hard work and determination for years. After his death in '21 you could see what was coming just based on toys, many toys and less focus on the businesses. Sad for the employees and those with vested interest in Paragon.
Big John would kill that boy if he was alive.

And that is why my wife and I did not step up to run the family ranch.
FIL wanted us to take it over, but his two other kids wanted a piece. They wanted a piece of the annual PLUS 30% each when the land was sold or 30% of appraised value when it got passed down to our kids. Wife and I flat out said ‘F No. we work it, we get 75%, Papa gets 25%, everyone else gets zero’. That did not go over well with my wife’s sister and brother. We told them, they could buy in with $$ and get an ROI, but no free money.

After 18 months of arguing, we walked, my FIL sold the ranch and is enjoying life!

Told the story before, a guy I knew in Cali worked summers, before and after school at his Grandpa's dairy. He told his grandpa he wanted to run the dairy. He did it for years. No cousins or uncles, just him and a laborer. Family and economics pushed out the dairy. Grandpa retired well...and gave a good portion of the proceeds to the one grandkid that worked for him. Damn the cousins were pissed, and so were the aunts and uncles.

I've met Derek several times in years past, nothing special. You never know what goes on in someone's mind. It was greed and LAM for them.

Same in my line of business. I’m starting to see the writing on the wall! Sheet metal fab and manufacturing.

So, at 67 years old, I've meet and are friendly with several guys worth over $100 million. If we walked into a biker bar ( done it many times) you would never know these guys have ANYTHING, and they're the first to complain about cost of goods. Real ballers are 100% under the wire. I try to follow they're lead. If you knew me, I'd look very average, but everything is paid, will die with tons of cash left for the family, and sleep really well, just like my mentors. Living that large gets tiring

Sounds like quite a few of the businesses I’ve dealt with over the years. The smart ones sold off a chunk and let the kids fight over the money in the end. At least the business remains healthy.

Check out the Arrow Trucking story. That's a good one. Swindled did a great podcast on it.
