The house is located on top of a hill;)

If any of you guys are hunters of gun collectors and would like a hidden gun cabinet I have some ideas:D something to think about

Whiteworks, I have an office that I would like to get done in oak. Basically drawers underneath and an enclosed gun rack above encased in about 1 " bullet-proof glass. Got a phone number?

Well here we go again, I started a new house yesterday, This ones only about 7500 sq.ft. and pretty standard (custom production) IMO. For starters There are a few shots of some radius wall/radius top windows. Currently I am building jamb extensions for these openings so they will accept casing. If you looks closely at the tops of the jamb extension you will notice that it is 1/8" material that is laminated in place all the material is scribed (cut to follow the contours of the wall) this is time consuming but I have a system in place now and am getting pretty fast (like a turtle):D

There is some serious shit going on in here. The shower will be all enclosed with glass, and has a Mr steam unit (steam room). There a couple of rain shower heads in the ceiling and a more valves and shower heads than you can shake a stick at. Some pretty big bucks to plumb this deal up. It also has a couple of speakers so you can listen to some tunes:D I really like the slab on the wall the pictures don't do it much justice, in person its pretty spectacular.

Hmmm looks like you're classic Carrier 24ANA 13 SEER (nominal) condensing unit. Either 4 or 5 tons each based on the apparent height. lol!

Damn nice house right there! What city is that in?

Not to take away from Dylan's project but just wanted to share the view from our project up in Bel Air. That building down there houses the 55 Ton air cooled chiller, 750,000 BTUH boiler, 2 pumps, and a huge, CAT-powered back-up generator.

Oh, I also made sure to include Tom Brown's favorite temporary room too. :D

To tell you the truth I'm not sure. I'd imagine it is harder than the mud for filling low spots or something. I do know that this is the 3rd time they have spot checked the slick walls. Once they powered up all the can lights more blems popped out. My partner walked around the house with blue tape for 2 days straight to mark spots. The 4th interior designer showed up the other day to work on color schemes:smackhead

Yeah. You're tellin me! I cant say who the house is for cause he is VERY high clientele. But I can say, money is NO object. House's base price was $150 million WITHOUT change orders! So that does NOT include the pool with 3 vanishing edges, the cantilevered tennis court, the roof top BBQ (a BBQ with probably the best view in LA), an additional 2,000 sq.ft. basement, and other misc changes. Just effin CRAZY!!

Oh, by the way, the ENTIRE main house is controlled via touch screens in every room that ties into our Controls system. Pretty sick stuff goin on in there.

Oh, and the shit kicker.... hes probably only going to use the house 2 weeks out of the year!!!

That driveway, well...:thumbsup:thumbsup

My father inlaw just moved out from Florida, and started working with this high end window and door place. PM me for his cell Yellowboat, or anyone who needs high end windows or doors. Not sure what brands, he has all the info. Living in hurricane country and doing this for 35+ years he knows his stuff, commercial or residential.

NEW DAP® PREMIUM LIGHTWEIGHT JOINT COMPOUND FEATURES DRYDEX™ DRY TIME INDICATOR TECHNOLOGY & EASY-TO-USE SQUARE TUB

Download this News Release (.doc)
BALTIMORE, November 22, 2005 – No mud pan; no bubbles; no mess; no guesswork; and, most importantly, no wasted time. That sums up what DAP’s new Premium Lightweight Joint Compound with DryDex™ Dry Time Indicator technology means to the do-it-yourselfer as well as the professional contractor.

DAP’s new Premium Lightweight Joint Compound with DryDex™ Dry Time Indicator goes on pink and dries white, eliminating the guesswork of when to apply additional coats or sand for finishing. Its premium formula is de-aired during the manufacturing process, preventing the formation of pinhole bubbles on application, which allows for an ultra smooth finish.

It works faster, sands effortlessly and weighs up to 25 percent less than conventional joint compounds for easier handling. The lightweight formulation also means less shrinking, therefore fewer coats are required than with other joint compounds, which saves time and money.

It comes in an easy-to-use square container, which makes drywall work a breeze. The container has a wide opening that easily accommodates a 6-inch taping knife unlike standard round containers, letting the user work directly out of the container. This eliminates the need to transfer the joint compound to a drywall (mud) pan, which means time saved. The square tub shape allows users to scrape out virtually all joint compound, minimizing waste. The heavy duty container is resealable with a secure lid, keeping it fresh and ready for future use.

"DAP is committed to making premium products that help contractors, remodelers, painters and do-it-yourselfers save time and money," said David Fuller, DAP’s Vice President of Marketing.

"Our new Premium Lightweight Joint Compound meets those goals with its user-friendly features like the dry time indicator and square container."

DAP’s new Premium Lightweight Joint Compound with DryDex® Dry-Time Indicator is perfect for finishing panel joints, nail heads and metal corner beads. It can also be used to repair holes or other damage in drywall and plaster. It will be available in December 2005 at home centers and hardware stores for around $20.00.

RD

Yes Dave. You read that correctly. That is a 2 story building for the mechanical equipment for a house. The basement is for the equipment, the 2nd floor is for the "disco", and the roof has a couple outdoor fireplaces and lounge areas.

Ill try to post a .pdf tomorrow to give you a better idea of the overall size of this house compound.

Never could figure out the draw in Comm'l work. I hated it, the industrail coatings was fun, but that was becuase I lived in a harness. My exp has always been I can make more doing residental remodel/ repair work then I can doing new comm'l/ TIs.

So here is the original overall layout of the Compound. Since this was drawn, a 2,500+ sq.ft. basement was added as well as the pool storage room (hence why the are just rectangles that I just added for representation).

Each one of those red perimeters is to designate each individual building. Unfortunately, I cant get digital copies of the renderings. But this will give you an idea of the size of the place.
