There are several ways to "fix" this, they all either inconvenience the current members, the moderators, or the new members.Couldn't this be fixed if you had to make an introductory post in the newbie forum and have it approved before you posted anywhere else? I've seen this done on several platforms. Race-dezert is one example. The gun forum I'm on is another.
Do they ad to the total user count? Which is good for advertising rates.Maybe Dave wants it that way?
