Cool Trip! Was everyone able to make it on one tank of gas or is there a place to get gas at Alamo Lake?

There is a full service pump at wayside rv Park. 3.65/ gallon 87 octane only. According to my gps yesterday’s ride was 84 miles. In my commander I used about 3/4 to 7/8 of a tank.

Did the crew tent camp at that RV Park BPRacing mentioned? I can see you tent camped but not sure if it was in the park or out in the desert.

Did the ride follow Bill Williams River?

I partially did some of that trip some years back and saw beavers making dams up river.

Turns out tent camping is bad idea. Ask Dave. Sleeping on cots with moving blankets is. Go figure. The wind and cold weather didn't bother me.

Tip #2 is baby wipes. You guys went to bed dirty. Baby wipe head to toe and fresh clothes makes riding tolerable.

Woke up this morning and I feel beat up. Looks like the weather has turned. Cloudy, cold and windy today. Look s like the high will be 70'.

Lol same here. That drive home to OC sucked!! But in the end, it was all worth it!

As you can see Wayside rv Park has fuel. It was a full service pump. Price was 3.65/gallon for 87 octane. They only have 87 octane with no plans to go to 91. This is all privately carried in and it’s still cheaper than CA.

More “slut” canyon. Some places were very tight even for my little two seat commander

We had some graded dirt road sections. With lots of rolling turning hills. That made for some fun drifting at 60mph.

That's what I do, trick them into thinking we are going somewhere they haven't been, lol. On the way back I let them go and stay far enough back to not eat dust.
Saw this thread yesterday morning and inspired me to go out in Jeep for a ride.

Sierra Hustling Adam for some Girl Scout cookies Friday night. Lol

Stacy just air dropped me 371 pics and like 20 videos.. I was using my phone to play music the whole time so only got a few pics. I’ll try to sort through this and start from beginning to end.

Before I get started I wanted to say thanks to BPracig for putting this together. It honestly was one of the coolest things I have done offroad since I was a kid! Huge thanks to Tyler and Mike for helping me load up, setup & tear down all weekend long! Crazy Jimmy for hauling the rest of our gear and fuel!! I really think we should have Toyota’s marketing department make a commercial about Jimmy and his truck.. That is unbelievable what a more or less stock Tubdra can do.. holy shit balls. And Adam for giving me a heart attack first thing in the morning.. prick. Boyd And Doug for sticking with us all the way until the end when we all got separated!

The pics kind of came in, in a weird order. I will do my best to try and keep them in order but there might be a few duplicates in the thread from before.

Sunday morning getting ready to Roll out!

Jimmy lost a tire on the way out, and we didn’t want to chance getting another flat on the way back with no spare so we had to say good bye and he took the road home.

I can’t say how impressed I was with him in the Tundra! He was running with us all day and every time I looked back he was right behind Boyd! Granted on the way out there we had a slow / cruising pace going but he still ran that thing harder then i ever would.. 20-30 mph in the dirt in most spots!
