Great pics

Did you guys end up using my route or create your own?
We used a big section, I ended up revising it slightly because we had the tundra. But overall same general way.

Leaving the valley and then heading back we hit Slot Canyon and Woody’s Cabin (which about a mile from the big cabin we went to on the rdp ride aka Kevin’s Cabin)

Daniel shooting his first real
Gun. My intention was to have the noise scare him a little so he wouldn’t want to touch any guns until he was older. Unfortunately it had the opposite effect. He wanted to pop off all the rounds.. lol. I said no.

Watching this trip try to come together and then actually happen has been great. Dave and Stacy, your kids will remember this trip for the rest of their lives. Amazing shots, great job to all and those who made it happen. Can only imagine how good that breakfast must have tasted Sunday morning at the Wayside.

One of you posted a Black & White pic or two, were those taken with a cell or were they edited to B&W’s? They look pretty cool that way.

Jimmie has a connection in North Korea and has these cup of noodles imported by the pallet or was it the cargo container....

They were awesome after a day of dust and bouncing around on the trail!!! I had 2 bowls and they had just the right spice to em!

The ribs are from Way Side they were breaking in a new smoker and these looked pretty good. They have a big poker run next weekend and will be cooking 4 or 5 briskets for food after the run.

I took all the photos with my cell. While we were on the flat dirt roads I played with the color a little:)

I think air drop only works if the phones are next to each other? I have a way you can text them to me through an app, and they will come through hi res

Before we left I was on the fence about going. That changed after we got into the ride for a few hours. The ride was awesome and so was the group. Thanks Bpracing for putting it together.

It would have made it no problem. Unfortunately due to the spare tire issue Jimmy didn’t make that part of the trip. :(
That's correct. Two extra spare rims and tires will be arrived this Thursday so I will have it ready on my truck by Friday. I will be working on the radio and get it ready for the next run.

Durango made it by 1/2". Yukon rubbed sidewalls hard. ID say it would be 50/50. At this turn it was a length issue as much as width.

What an awesome trip. Just bought an old beater Samurai recently to use as a trail rig & would be perfect for something like that. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

Thanks! The kids and I had a blast! It’s so amazing out there. It was so refreshing to be disconnected for a couple days. My sinuses are hating life right now though. I’ve had a nasty pressure headache since we returned.

Looks like some great riding down there. We would have to find a campground in LHC for the truck and 5th wheel and wouldn't be able to do an overnighter... but if you guys put a good day trip together for sometime on the weekend of Feb 23-25 we might leave Dumont early and come down to participate. Looks like a lot of fun. And we have our helmets now, LOL.

Well here is my take on the trip. It started off Friday night picking up my friend Tyler that I have known for 20 years. As we headed out we stopped at Dave’s house so I could load the gps file onto his gps and help him load up. Well we didn’t leave until 12:00 am and I forgot my phone and Dave and Stacy decided to take pics of them ordering pizza.

Tyler and I woke up early hit the grocery store and naturally we went straight for the booze lol. After buying some food we headed back to the house and decided to pack up and eat breakfast. We then headed over to the gas station and Boyd and Adam were already there. Jimmy wasn’t far behind. That is when the waiting game started.

Dave finally showed up and we bs’ed for 20 min until we decided to leave. As we hit the dirt I started to just go my speed and see what jimmy would do in his stock tundra. After a few min I reached him on the radio and asked how he was doing. He said good. I verified that as he was up Boyd’s ass the entire ride.

I’ll let the pics do the talking but overall had a great time and everyone got along great and was super fun.

We need to get Dave a racing catheter so he can pee while driving. We had plenty of 5 beer stops and seemed to take forever to get there. But as Dave said we have lights and navigation let’s use them. And we did!

For me I loved every min of it! Anyway off to the pictures

This is near Alamo Lake at the first water crossing this picture is what Dave looked like the entire ride!

Hands down this ranger is very capable and super easy to drive as Dave basically had a beer and smoke in his hands the entire ride. Man I need power steering

Damn I wish I would have followed the thread closer. I assumed it was a guy's trip only. If I knew I could've brought the family we would have been in. Next time fore sure.
