Very sorry to hear this.

Jason went out on his terms, he left an example for all of us with his grace, and his strong focus on his family.
He was a good man.
His memory is one worth keeping close to our hearts.

It has been a difficult new year for the RDP Family. If we take nothing from the recent loss of our own the we need to learn from the examples they gave us. RDP is a family largely made up of workaholics. Always with the nose to the grindstone, always pushing for just that much more, newer, cooler, everything.
And we say it is for the kids.
I know.
I did it too.

No one I know ever had "wished he had worked more" listed as one of his/her last wishes, or on their headstone.
In the insanity that seems to be a driving factor in how we live our lives we need to take a moment and take stock every now and then...are we really doing what we should with the very finite number of days the Creator has allotted us upon this earth?

Are we enjoying enough of the "now", or are we putting too much aside in hopes of enjoying the "later"?

A "Later" that is promised to none of us. At 57 and having had my nose to the grindstone for all but the last 7 of those years I can tell you my answer to that question isn't what I wish it was.

Something I think Jason and Carl and all the others we've lost would want us to think about, to do a gut-check now and then.

RIP :(
I went back and read some of your older threads, to get a feel for who you are and what you went through. Reading how your life changed in 15 months from "having the world by the balls" to being in the hospital was a tough read, it could be any of us but it happened to you. We have never spoken, and hell if I know if you can read this from the other side, but I will take what you have shared here and use it to help keep my life in perspective in difficult times. Wishing the best for your family

My mom's best friend is Jason's mother... she was having to push the morphine button for him every 15 minutes since Sat... poor guy is finally pain free now. He was surrounded by family...

Condolences to the family. A mother shouldn't have to do that for her son.

I hate reading stuff like this. Haven't we had enough losses this year already. Rest easy brother, my condolences to your family and friends.

RIP Jason. I met Jason at a local body shop when his truck was hit. I followed up by reading his
Previous posts. I will take away from Jason's story the idea of slowing get down and enjoying life and family. Thoughts and prayers for Jason and his family.
