I know my 21 Howard is different, but I went with 7.5 and 27" and it did wonders for it. Of course I was trying to get it to carry the bow and take a good set at full throttle, and I usually decelerate
27 is way up there! Its crossed my mind to move strut foward just trying the easy , cheaper stuff first lol

How far is the back of the block to inside of the transom? Do you have a trans?

I made a mistake, the barrel was originally 17" from the transom and I moved it to 23.5" from the transom. I don't know the exact distance of the block from inside of the transom and the boat is in storage now. I will try to get that dim. Yes I do run a turbo 400 trans. My engine is pretty close to the transom as I have a back seat.

It has a small period of time the moment you let off where it will aggressively try to turn on it's own, usually right. Boat rides very flat unless you're hard on gas. After talking with some people that have similar boats I've come up with : change steering pulleys to ball bearing and tighten the shit out of steering cables, change the shape of drop chines and drop the gear. No video yet as the ski boat is having a prop made . But will have video next time boat goes on the water. Cant wait to clean 2 boats next test session...

lol..just another "small" price to pay to play with more toys. I look forward to learning from your experiences here, you've built a really nice piece there.

Thanks for the kind words. I thought I was pretty sharp on setup of these cruiser boats but apparently I've a lot to learn as well hahahaha
