It would be blasphemy to have any less. Tremec 6 speed.
Makes sense. You bike guys are constantly shifting.
That's an awesome car right there.
I gotta think, once complete, it'll get you to relegate those dopey bicycles to the back of the garage
There are actually people who can multi-task. There's room for it all in my life!! Hell, I've been to Lake Pleasant and back this morning already (pedaling)
Question- you mentioned pulling the Ls out of your truck. What's going back in the truck?
Here's where the thing goes off the tracks. The car was nearing completion, my wife was off in Wisconsin with a friend. The car was at the alignment shop getting aligned, the LAST STEP. Car was to be handed off three days after that, Dean drives them around and de-bugs them for a few days.
I was at work, actually standing next to 460 when my cell rang. It was Dean. "Hi Steve" ummmm, welllll, you, seeeee. Your car got wrecked??.
WHAT??? Your fucking with me, right? NOPE. I still refused to believe it. Text me a picture I said. OK.

As you can see, pretty bad eh? Some customer of the alignment shop, drove a dually over it. So now, the waiting game with the insurance guys. the car needs appraisal, the fights ensue but after two months, Dean has a check in his pocket and is now repairing the car we never drove. Looks like about 45 more days. So, thats the story of the "Mistress" its actually my wife's car.

HolY FuCK!!%^&*&^$%#$$******:yikes I would have lost it. Was it body only, or did it tweak the frame as well?
Got some pictures from Hot Rods by Dean today on the progress to the Vette.

Impressive to say the least, and at damn near 7k rpm.:thumbup:Here's what Larry Peto came up with. First pulley set up was a 4" it made 8 pounds 700 ft #'s and 800HP. Second pull 3.50 inch pulley at 11 pounds (attachment) was 753 ft #'s and 858HP. Made yet a third pull with a 3.25 inch pulley. It made 799 ft #'s and 903HP @ 13-14 pounds. (attachment). The specifics are 403 inch motor, 2.9 liter Whipple, LS3 heads, 50 pounds of fuel pressure on low grade racing fuel with the same BTU characteristics of 100LL, which I will run.
Should run pretty good

Show us the rest of that chart!Would love to see the numbers down low.
I will add, a ford would have made 1000 hp. [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
Right up till it broke a piston skirt....

I think he meant all three pulls added together.
Thanks Tyro. Larry commented to me that he would love to build a mid sized cat with two of these things in it. big power and shaving off HUNDREDS of pounds doing so.
Sad that you will not have a mid size or Large cat to give it a try
If pigs had wings.
You should totally pull the big motor in the boat and see what this guy will do.
It only makes 200 less HP and must weigh 500 pounds less. It would be interesting.
What happened to the 1st Chevelle, it looked pretty far along...crazy I missed this thread.
