Well, I may have exaggerated about the sword of knowledge but she will definitely pummel you...
And if you don't notice the pummeling she'll kick you with her pointy shoes or hit you with her purse...

And the whole idea of LOF Psaki "pulling something out" to teach me is unsettling.
Are you implying and Bruce/Caitlin kind of thing?

Not so much.
so much, browse through FB pages and continue to see cars for sale and being put up for sale... Its happening, whether you want to admit it or not, its happening, for Polaris to release what they did and when they did, its having an effect, they knew exactly what they were doing when they chose to release.

I was all set to trade up for the Speed, and just about everyone knows Im not a RZR guy. After seeing the 4 Seat Speed at Sand Show, was less than impressed with the cab, theres no room... The newer RZR's hit the money when they opened up the cab, so they peaked my attention. Now they drop the Pro Star, NA with a complete redesign... Im in... At least for a try...

Keep waiting, Ill enjoy my Pro R for a couple yrs then come back and see if the Speed is a contender... Sorry, not sorry...its true...

The ProR is bad ass but the timing of the release had nothing to do with the Speed car. The ProR has been in testing phase for a few years and was going to hit showrooms next year whether Speed existed or not.

The Pro R has been rumored for as long as the Speed car has been a thing. Polaris didn't hold it back 18 months. If it was done a year ago they would have released it. Can Am is a way bigger threat to Polaris than Speed is. Polaris lost more sales to Can Am this fall by not having a top line car than the Speed car debut will ever take from them.

There are people tired of waiting for the Speed car, and there are no shortage of people ready to take their place in line.

As far as what is best, it seems Can Am is still kicking both their asses in racing. The Pro R is going to be fine. I don't think it is going to be demonstrably better than a Speed or a Can Am for recreational off roading.

Yes, just like the motor has been released aka known about for 2+ yrs... it still doesnt negate the fact that nobody knew what was being released... its being affected, you can deny all you want, at the end of the day, its happening, unlike some others...

If Polaris did time the ProR release because of Speed wouldn’t that then lend credibility to Speed?

Those doubtful of Speed’s ability can’t have it both ways. Polaris was releasing the Pro regardless of what any competitor is/was doing.

It was fairly common knowledge what was coming, and the "spy pics" were from 2 years ago. The only thing different was that it was gonna have a transmission and it still has a belt.

2.0 Pro Star from the slingshot, and 72+" wide, 5 lug, front shock on the bottom arms. All literally 2 year old info.

Random question - is Speed racing the SXS events at Hammers this year. Great way to prove your product is solid.

I know right.

The car is so shitty Polaris was scared to go head to head with it in the marketplace.
The business model is so poor, but Polaris is going to just buy out Speed.
Polaris is so concerned about Speed selling 15K units they will lower their prices and margins to choke Speed out of business.

Cant prove a product that hasnt been GA'ed
Its already been raced. 11th out of 37, running out of gas a couple miles before the end. The car was up to 5th I believe until the last couple miles when it ran out of gas.

And that was the 1 year old test mule with 10K+ miles on it.

And you know this to be fact because you not only are you a member of their development team, you are an executive on the Polaris BOD.
You cast and amazingly wide net of knowledge for sure. 👍

Was a convo RD and I had last weekend. He said if I gave up the haters would stop... I said they would keep right on hating and complaining.

So you gave it one day and now claim you were right?
I'm not shocked I guess.

I know the answer, but people will be upset if I tell you. :)

Of course you do.
There is not a single solitary human being left on earth who doubted you would make this claim.

the pro R is not the sling shot motor, completly different crank, heads and cam. might be the same block but the rest is totally different

That is like saying an LS6 is different than an LS1. The architecture is the same.

As for Polaris - It is fact, there were Pro R leaked photos and specs in Jan-Feb 2020. And eyewitness reports from mid last year. You even have members here that have seen the cars testing well over a year ago. You might actually know something too if you could read :)

Considering you proved me right within minutes, you are right, there is no reason for you to be shocked.

You are right again.. I do know the answer. Membership has its privileges.

Being Nostradamus is not easy, nor is delivering a Unocorn.

Better than the Nostradumbasses that can't decide if the product is so shitty it will never be made, or so great it has had Polaris quaking in their boots for 2 years LOL.

Not surprisingly you missed the point being made. Too quick trying to formulate an answer to read the post closely.
My point was NOT that they did or did not have them in development. It was to your assertion that you KNEW they would have released it 12 months ago if possible.

As impossible as it must seem to you, people wiser than you make decisions about THEIR products daily.

And here's the trifecta of missing the point.
It's not about whether or not you knew anything. It's the fact that you will always chime in.
Right or wrong....

No the point you were trying to make was so ridiculous I simply ignored it on its face, plus I already addressed it. They lost more sales to Can Am by not having the car ready then they would ever lose to Speed, or gain from waiting trying to upstage Speed. If they were going to upstage Speed they would have done it at the Sand Show 4 months ago.

Interesting, the entire class registration list is private still.
Even those I know that are racing (class 11, trophy trucks, buggies) don’t know who else is registered yet.

I actually really like them keeping it private.

Yep…thats me
And it is me too. The information is all out there, people can reserve one or not. I literally could not care less if people purchase one or not.

If people are using my internet banter as a qualifier to buy one or not, they should reevaluate their life choices.
